Sentieo’s AI-powered financial search engine aggregates internal and external content into a single shared workspace for a more efficient research process. You can easily find needed documents or sections within them, with simple keyword searches and more advanced Boolean searches. **What do you dislike about Sentieo by AlphaSense?** Sentieo's quality of document and transcript coverage has declined in recent years. It was only after several complaints from myself that they added RNS for UK markets (the equivalent of an 8-K). There has basically been no development on the core search feature which used to be their relative strength. Their main competitor (which purchased them recently) has now caught up. I'd recommend them instead. Sentieo's financial data is not nearly as robust as its competitors. Its Excel plugin is missing some basic fields like ISIN codes. They also do not have live pricing data for some major international markets, which precludes price alerts. Their Screener tool is pretty good, but cannot be run "as of" a certain date, which is standard functionality in other platforms. Finally, transcript coverage is comparable to other platforms, but there are some holes that I think should be addressed given Sentieo's focus on document search. I wish Sentieo would invest more in this blocking and tackling instead of flashy features like "sentiment analysis" that few real practitioners utilize. **What problems is Sentieo by AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mostly document research. ### 2. I have used other products in the past and became frustrated with haphazard holes in data. Sentieo is reliable and integrates with my work flow. Digging in deeper into companies is intuitive and the search features are a fantastic time saver. **What do you dislike about Sentieo by AlphaSense?** The initial learning curve required to master the high amount of resources available. However after a couple of weeks it became very intuitive. I felt sorry for bending the ear of the guys in the live support at the start. **What problems is Sentieo by AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is helping make better investing decisions. Rearching a company is very time consuming. Sentieo makes it more time efficient. I can screen for almost any parameter, be it fundamentals, trending topics or even alternative data. ### 3. As a new user, I find myself still finding new ways to further dial in my searches. Unlike other tools, in which it takes a lot of scrolling to get to the information you want, in Sentieo, you can generally get exactly the inform that you're seeking in a very efficient manner. **What do you dislike about Sentieo by AlphaSense?** The table tools seem cool. They aren't always that accurate or useful. I don't fault Sentieo for it very much; I haven't come across a single tool that can consistently make an error-free times series of filing line items. Sentieo does a good job, but it's not perfect. **What problems is Sentieo by AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?** It saves me time with my research. It is great for search and it also makes it much easier than other systems to figure out how long a certain table has been included in filings. ### 4. The Screener Tool allows the analyst to easily search investments using a wide range of financial metrics, and to include a firm's own financial metrics in the screening process. Furthermore, the Document Search and Red Line features allow for the easy screening of financial documents, as well as easy tools to evaluate how a company's financial reports have changed from year to year. The Equity Data Terminal is powered by Refinitiv and provides the user with a range of financial statement views for both quick analysis as well as deep dives into SEC filings. Perhaps one of the most useful tools is the Comparable Analysis Tool, which allows analysts to build platforms aggregating key financial metrics used by the analyst, greatly driving efficiency by being able to quickly and easily pull the data analysts care about the companies they cover. **What do you dislike about Sentieo by AlphaSense?** While Sentieo is great for company research, its coverage of markets and mutual funds is lacking. in the future, wider coverage of indices and pooled investment vehicle could greatly drive the usefulness of Sentieo. **Recommendations to others considering Sentieo by AlphaSense:** If looking for a total economic and market terminal, this may be lacking but for individual equity and company analysis and screening it is excellent. **What problems is Sentieo by AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sentieo has helped us become more organized in our research process through its notebook tool, and has helped improve our compliance by having date and time stamped records of our research and investment recommendations. We have also improved our efficiency by using Sentieo, as it allows us to automate many tasks previously performed manually, such as pulling our critical financial metrics used in analysis or conducting ratio analysis of target companies. ### 5. Sometimes it’s not new wording but a paragraph that they moved elsewhere they show as new added verbiage even though it was there in the previous filing. I frequently use this for peer reviews of SEC filings. I also appreciate using Table Explorer on the financial statement tables. It makes it easy to aggregate information in an exportable format (to Excel). **What do you dislike about Sentieo by AlphaSense?** I don't find it easy to perform some of the same searches on Document Search (e.g. followed tickers, 10-Q and 10-K only). For SEC reporting, we like using the tool for peer reviews and for exporting financial data. The addition of the web clipper ties together everything inside and outside very well. The mobile app performs better than expected, with more functionality than most challenger apps to Bloomberg Anywhere. Apart from chat functionality, this could serve as a complete replacement tool for most equity data terminals. **What do you dislike about Sentieo by AlphaSense?** Having the terminal based in a browser rather than an application with multiple windows means the experience is full window or nothing desktop array of functions. Pop-out optionality for components of the platform may solve this issue. The only other UX-related issue pertains to the inability to store and reload the last view on login. I know that this product focuses more on organizing and configuring raw data sets for earnings, sales, etc. but there could be added functionality for more chart-oriented people. **What problems is Sentieo by AlphaSense solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used this software to make investment decisions and create financial models. ### 31.
