Unpleasant surprises **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020 **What do you like best about SendSafely?** Simple to use, and the program supplies a unique identifier rather than the sender having to make up a password and get it to the addressee. **What do you dislike about SendSafely?** I was under the impression from various reviews that the program was free and did not have size limits on the number or size of messages. I sent a few messages that arrrived without problem. However, I then sent a message that according to the recipient had not arrived. I reviewed the message, noticed that it was large, and then googled "sendsafely size." I found that there was a 10 mb size limit. I also learned that there was a 50 mb monthly total for the free version. I think that the program should have advised me that my message had not been sent, and that I should have been informed of the size limits when I signed up. No money lost here, but now I have to go back to looking for a more suitable program. **Recommendations to others considering SendSafely:** Bear in mind three things: 1. Maximum message size 10 MB 2. Maximum monthly use 50 MB 3. Watch out for undelivered messages **What problems is SendSafely solving and how is that benefiting you?** The challenge was, and once again is, to find a simple secure way to send files from my computer to my colleague's computer.
