"Easy to use for teachers and students."
5/5
What do you like best about Seesaw?

I like the UDL design of the platform as it allows family's and students to use their home language. There is also an abislbe to record voice instructions to go along with the text and add live meeting links so the students have all the resources for class in one area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seesaw?

The downside of Seesaw is that students and families cannot see the grades with activities. They can only see the feedback which can hinder their own progress monitoring towards standards or success in the class. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good idea, poorly implemented"

What do you like best about Seesaw?

This seems a good idea in principle but I suspect a crowded market place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seesaw?

The user interface is appalling. Users have to create a text box, type an answer and then drag the box to the right place on the worksheet. On small tablets and phones this is almost impossible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great platform for families doing remote learning"
5/5
What do you like best about Seesaw?

This is a wonderful platform that allows an open communication with the teacher, student and parents. I love the platform because I can see in real-time what work my child is submitting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seesaw?

There should be a feature for the student to check off that they completed or viewed the assignment rather than clicking add a response and having to actually add something in order to make the task go away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seesaw?

It's not a dislike but it does take time and training to learn the platform. You need to be prepared in advance. There are tutorials for users/parents (in my case) but we still had many technical questions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The most useful teaching tool you'll ever find!"
5/5
What do you like best about Seesaw?

As a teacher, you need a platform to teach students, to assess students, and to communicate with parents. Seesaw is that tool. Yes, there are a plethora of tools for older students, but when it comes to the littles, tools are limited. That's ok, you don't need anything other than Seesaw! Easy enough for kindergarteners to use independently, and deep enough for high schoolers, Seesaw is the tool you need! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seesaw?

There is little to dislike about Seesaw. They were one of the first educational companies to respond during the COVID crisis, modifying their entire platform to accommodate learning from home within a week of the shut-down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Digital Portfolio Turned Distance Learning Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Seesaw?

Seesaw is incredibly user friendly for even our youngest students. We have our preschoolers using the platform with relative ease. I'm amazed that they've created a tool that students who are not yet reading can navigate effectively to document their learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seesaw?

I wish we could use just Seesaw and move away from other LMS, but Seesaw lacks a good option for word processing. Students can attach notes, or you can link a Google doc, but Google Classroom is much, much easier for engaging students in the writing process. Edits, revisions, multiple drafts, etc aren't easy to navigate through in Seesaw. If this feature could be worked in as seamlessly as it's worked into Google Classroom, Seesaw could be our one & only LMS. There are also occasional weird glitches with Seesaw & Google - a link that is set to "Anyone can view" for some reason requires logging in with Google when accessed through Seesaw - things like that which can derail a kindergarten class but are minor in the grand scheme of things!
