**What do you like best about Seeq?**

The formula language and functions are what I believe are Seeq's most valuable attributes

The visualization and dashboarding tools are relatively limited within Seeq. This requires users to export data into tools like PowerBI or Grafana instead of having a 1-stop-shop in Seeq.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeq is directly improving our process engineer problem solving efficiency. Without Seeq, engineers either avoid data analysis alltogether, or spend hours working with SQL/Excel to wrangle and analyze data. In addition, Seeq has been instrumental in enabling us to standardize asset performance metrics (OEE) throughout our organization's key assets.

  ### 29. Self-service analytics democratizing data analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johannes S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

User friendly, very capabable in working with timeserties and managing the time and events aspect. Python integration opens up endless possibilities. Easy to connect to multiple data sources.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

It can be difficult to get users to switch to new ways of working, to change from excel to something better. But thats true for all improved tools. We still have to push to incorporate better ways of working.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Opens up powerful analytics for people that previously had only excel as their tool. Democratizes using data from processes and doing more analysis to understand how to improve the process and production.

  ### 30. Reducing the Cost of Curiosity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Glass, Ceramics & Concrete | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

It's an awesome tool for any process engineer to have in his or her toolbox. It makes my job a lot easier, and we use it to solve all sorts of problems. It's intuitive and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

Some of the asset switching capabilities are not as good as what you can do within the pi system. If they had something that was equivalent of creating "Collections," it would be even easier to scale some analytics.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to find process and asset health anomalies in a manufacturing environment. We use it mostly for its ad hoc analytics capabilities, and finding rapid solutions to problems as they arise.

  ### 31. Seeq user review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Glass, Ceramics & Concrete | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

The user interface is very user friendly and it is easy to analyse

We had a scratch issue in our coater department and with seeq, we were able to identify the pressure deviations which caused the issue. This had significant cost as well as time saving on finding the root cause of the issue.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

I am yet to encounter any major issues with it

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a scratch issue in our coater department and with seeq, we were able to identify the pressure deviations which caused the issue. This had significant cost saving as well as time saving, and it helped us to identify the root cause and implement the right mitigation actions

  ### 32. Seeq provides great tools for your data but can be unpolished at times

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

Seeq is able to handle time series data really well in a way that allows for no coding to be done (i.e., simply pushing buttons in the UI). Seeq employees are always there for us when we have questions. Seeq is working to improve their software and continually refine it.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

Some aspects of Seeq remain unpolished in what can and cannot be done (especially in the Organizer capability). The good news is that Seeq is always working to improve.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The box entitled "For which purposes do you use Seeq?" does not show but one option. And we use Seeq for much more than just Time Series Intelligence.
Seeq is used to run our entire business and gain insights. For example, our revenue gets determined from Seeq (Accounting, Financial Reporting). Also our Operations run on many Seeq tools (operation, troubleshooting, customer communication, etc.). Also, our planning and logistics (ordering product) involves using Seeq tools.
Seeq allows us to bring in the crucial data and make use of it (and it allows a non-computer-engineer to build tools for us).

Note that our use cases tend to stretch the capability of Seeq (and this is not necessarily considered in the review).

  ### 33. Best self service analytics tool I've been using

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michel D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

Direct connection to datasource, built in tools for capsules and any other usefull functions. User friendly, easy to figure out how to build analysis. Easy to build dashboard in Organizer, interactive dashboard is very nice.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

Not been able to add DCS graphs so it would be easy for each asset to see DCS graphs and make trends and analysis in SEEQ instead of using another tool to figure out what the PHD tag is. Would be helpful if the organizer is easier to build, SEEQ is much more powerfull than Excel but in Excel it is easier to add columns, comments and a lot or other nice features.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring KPI in our assets, monitoring our LP models to better understand when our models start drifting from actual operation. Analyze historical data to better understand our operation and maximize yields and generate value out of it.

  ### 34. Very easy to use program with clearly represented data.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

The ability to go back in time and trend data from our process in order to solve issues and investigate previous events. The real time monitoring is also a very useful feature.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

Some of our process tags don't work and provide us data. Also sometimes the data is missing for periods of time or the server load is very high and it takes a long time to load.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Investigating process upsets in our plant and allowing me to provide answers to other coworkers and implement strategies to avoid these upsets.

  ### 35. Seeq

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

The best part about using Seeq is that it is intuitive and simple. Seeq brings powerful and usable analytics tools to people of all skill levels - from Data Scientists to Line Operators - everyone has the potential to quickly access Seeq and gain meaningful insights into their manufacturing data.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

The main downside of using Seeq is its cost and requirement on a data historian or other large managed data ecosytem. Overall, for its dependencies on other systems, Seeq is very costly.
This is made up for by the value Seeq provides in making data-informed decisions and process efficiency gains. Still for the annual cost, many independent users/use-cases are required to fully realize it's value.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeq is helping us solve many different problems including, root cause anaylses, dataset standardization and implementation of machine learning on time-series data.

  ### 36. Excellent Tool for Live Monitoring Data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trevor A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

I like that Seeq is great at visualizing time series data. For my application, I create equations that use historical data and Seeq workbooks enable me to do that easily.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

One thing I would like to see in Seeq is more customization options in Seeq organizers. For instance, give us more fonts and header options. Additionally, we would like to be able to sort and filter in the organizer.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to be able to monitor many different assets at once and Seeq organizers help us do that. It is an important part of our dataflow process. We have multiple different tools, some of wish give an overview of every asset at a glance and others give details about singular assets.

  ### 37. Great touchpoint with other seeq users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

How plyable it is as a tool. I like how I can manipulate data, make it useful then be able to generate capsules from it. Should also be mentioned how collaborative the seeq team is.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

Can't say dislike but I think there is improvement opportunity with asset group builder and test manager. There are workarounds for the shortcomings but feel they could flow better

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Evidence manager as an alerting platform, data lab to test different ideas and workbench to troubleshoot. All of these are needed to make me effective and add value for me

  ### 38. One of the best live & web-based analysis application for Process Data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Glass, Ceramics & Concrete | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

The ease of use and the accuracy of data analysis.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

The server load is quite critical and gets slower with heavy calculations

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeq is helping me get better insights about my process. The fact that it supports Python, helps to develop some of the best tools that can be used to simplify the analysis.

  ### 39. Good SAAS product for process data advanced analytics.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Syed j. | Technical Performance Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

Very nice GUI, good features. We have been using Seeq for over 3-4 months and it feels like a well thought out product in its class. The help functions and online training is quite a plus for its users. The product genuinely tries to give power to its users which is nice. The updates from R54 to R58 onwards included good features which are suggested by the customers- so big thumbs up for the developers

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

Seeq Organiser GUI comes with some gremlins. Things don't line up properly (perhaps it's me)

Seeq don't give 'view only + full ' licenses package' - perhaps they can consider this licensing structure with appropriate pricing . (I am saying this becomes not everyone is developing analysis & most of the people who are not familiar with the development of analysis, only wants to play around in viewing only mode) if Seeq would do this, it would help its customers to foresee data democritzation & help uptake of this system over a wider audience.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business wanted to view process data from different data sources / different plants/ different historians into a single platform (I.E Seeq) , so a single platform can be used & utilised by elite team to develop advanced analysis. Those analysis were then deployed throughout the business areas.
We were sick and tired about limiting features in excel.- excel isn't appropriate for all of analytical needs and resource consuming.Seeq has been a better solution.

It is allowing access to DCS data for further monitoring and analysis easily, remotely, efficiently, and effectively. It adds to faster sharing of knowledge and strength, improves collaboration, and reduces travelling.

  ### 42. I Love Seeq - Just gets better over time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kat D. | Process Automation Operations Leader, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

The Seeq software is intuitive, powerful, and on a journey of constant improvement. Tons of very powerful analytics, and you can easily leave information behind naturally and natively.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

Sometimes the graphs made can be a bit hard to follow. Some love and care is needed to make sure the graphs are well documented, but it's a similar thing to excel.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeq is solving the issue of multi-unit reviews, sharing across businesses, standardizing metrics, and increasing the speed of data collection. Seeq is enabling my engineers to be better and faster.

  ### 43. It's so good that we scaled it from one single batch process to the entire petrochemical complex

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo F. | Process and Differentiation Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

It's really easy to use. One hour is enough to start adding value to the daily work of an engineer, but it has very advanced features which also help to solve the most ambitious use cases.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

I do not have any comment in this regard. I am quite happy with the Software. Maybe the connection with Lims Labware is not as good as it could be, but I understand it's also a problem of the data we want to use in Seeq.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's changing the paradigm of how we use data to find solutions. From Root cause analysis to daily monitoring of the plant. Also it is useful to optimize the process as it facilitates the visualization of the data so hidden deviations are found.

  ### 44. Powerful analytical tool for process engineers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erica M. | Sr. Process Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

The ease and simplicity of the interface make it great for anyone to pick up the language of Seeq and apply it to their processing application. After using it for just a couple of weeks, it was easy to dive into the application and use it to begin problem-solving our processing issues. The customer service team is also excellent. Anytime we struggle to figure out how to create a complex formula or dashboard, it is easy to get a hold of someone from Seeq who will walk you through how to figure it out. I use Seeq daily, whether it's monitoring our process lines, problem-solving an issue, or conducting complex Six Sigma studies. I would highly recommend Seeq, especially for process engineers.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

The only downside I have yet to come across has been trying to download large amounts of data; it can sometimes take a while to load. However, the Seeq team has been accommodating in trying to improve this for us.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeq is helping us gain visibility into the vast amounts of data that our processing lines are gathering each second. It has helped us take this data and transform it into something useful that can be applied to improve efficiency and reduce problems in our manufacturing plant.

I have just been introduced to Seeq and attended Seeq Conneqt. From what I have heard and seen from all of the current users at the conference, I am excited to get back to the office and start learning more about how we can use it in our facilities to help us improve production

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

I don't know yet. I have just been introduced to it

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I plan on using it to help us determine root causes to loss of production.

  ### 48. accelerating industrial insights with seeq

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** neha t. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

The new update was terrific; from R54 onwards, we can handle large amt of data efficiently; it has excellent analytical tools. Also, we can customize the data with data labs

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

It can be time-consuming with larger files; understanding the graphs was difficult, but I found the data insufficient.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improves my data for manufacturing plants, supports all of my data from cleaning to reporting and improves digitalization.

  ### 49. Seeq Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

Seeq is really proficient at data anlysis for time series data. You can do advanced calculations that update automatically which makes it a powerful platform.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

SEEQ sometimes can get really slow. At my company, we have many users as a result it can overload the servers and the website becomes unuseable.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SEEQ mainly for live data trending, process monitoring, and equipment/catalyst health evaluations.

  ### 50. Easy to use for data analytics and process improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alireza S. | Data Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Seeq?**

SEEQ provides a nice graphical interface, a powerful search tool, and the possibility of writing simple codes to estimate process parameters from signal data. You can export data as CSV files or OData links. Also if you have access to the Data Lab feature, you can develop complicated Python codes/applications for data postprocessing that automatically pull raw data from SEEQ and push back the results.

**What do you dislike about Seeq?**

If SEEQ receives data from a PI historian, sometimes the network connections will become an issue, and you lose access. Also, if you are using OData to create a dashboard, each time you update a workbench, the associated OData link changes; so you need the update the resources (for example in Power BI) manually.

**What problems is Seeq solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using SEEQ to analyze plant data for estimating KPIs such as the production rate (SEEQ workbenches or connected dashboard). Also, provide useful tools for machine learning and forecasting (you can install different libraries and packages).
