I've been converted over the last year and now use it as my go-to tool for technology sourcing. Its uncovered so may additional candidates that I couldn't find on other popular sites. Their customer support goes above and beyond to ensure success, even when you think you know it all as tech recruiter. **What do you dislike about SeekOut?** I can't say I've found anything I dislike about the tool so far. It gives the recruiter a great snapshot of skills and inferred skill sets that helps to make a quick decision before investigating candidates further. **What problems is SeekOut solving and how is that benefiting you?** I haven't had any problems with SeekOut. Our success manager, Tony, is ALWAYS available to make sure we are successful in our searches. We recently had a more advanced training with him where myself and other team members learned some additional functionality that will really help narrow down large candidate pools. If you could work on the transition from once a project is created, to then being able to search for more candidates easier, that would make this product even better! **What problems is SeekOut solving and how is that benefiting you?** Identifying candidates we may not have found and gaining their contact information to contact them by more than one method. People respond to text, calls or emails sometimes more than LinkedIn. ### 3. Great diversity filters - I've connected with so much underrepresented talent **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022 **What do you like best about SeekOut?** SeekOut has been really helpful for me in three ways: having great filters for underrepresented talent without needing to create a complicated Boolean like you would in LinkedIn Recruiter or in an X-Ray search, finding profiles on Github with high coder scores for skills we need at my company, and finding emails for candidates that other tools such as Gem could not find. **What do you dislike about SeekOut?** I find my workflow to be clunky when I see results after a search. Sometimes I see multiple icons for LinkedIn and am not sure which one to click so I end up opening both links. Sometimes a LinkedIn link is not correct and returns an invalid profile. **Recommendations to others considering SeekOut:** Consider what tier you need of SeekOut. As a technical sourcer, having the Github sourcing functionality is a game-changer, but for another sourcer who needs to look for academic talent, looking through publications is important, but that is not relevant to my world. **What problems is SeekOut solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm solving for reaching underrepresented talent as fast as I return general results. I've realized the benefits of using Github as a way to source and I would not be able to find those profiles on my own. ### 4. Also pulls from other places like Github and can search for Scientific and Engineering people specifically. Will get you contact info as well. Has an insights tab similar to LinkedIn. **What do you dislike about SeekOut?** Sometimes contact info is not always accurate or a bit old. There is a slight lag in accuracy with LinkedIn. If someone changes their profile it is not an immediate update in Seekout. **Recommendations to others considering SeekOut:** You must try at least a demo! It is a fantastic tool that TA or Sourcing can benefit greatly from! It will help your team become a better talent advisor as well. **What problems is SeekOut solving and how is that benefiting you?** Filling the funnel, talent sourcing, candidate pipelining and finding/hiring great people! You have much better search results than with LinkedIn! Sharing immediate information with your TA team and /or hiring managers. The ability to pull out information about the candidates and upload into various ATS's is a huge benefit. Highly recommend! ### 5. I would like to be able to see more profiles on one page, have more updated information from LinkedIn profiles, and hide profiles completely that I have already viewed. **Recommendations to others considering SeekOut:** If you want an all-in-one tool for your sourcing efforts, SeekOut is certainly a valuable tool to consider! **What problems is SeekOut solving and how is that benefiting you?** Specifically, the utilization of SeekOut with LinkedIn recruiter, creates some overlapping issues for my current search strategies. If I have saved a profile in LinkedIn recruiter or have already messaged them, SeekOut does not have access to that information. Thus I could be re-sourcing the same person, which is not ideal. ### 6. One of my biggest gripes is that I am unable to have effective 2-way transparency between my ATS and SeekOut. There are a lot of filters you can utilize to help you narrow in on specific candidates you might be seeking. **What do you dislike about SeekOut?** You get credits per month for providing contact info--it would be better all included, but with a narrowed search, it seemingly has worked out and have not needed to use additional resources. **What problems is SeekOut solving and how is that benefiting you?** SeekOut is great when needed to search for diversity candidates or candidates with a niche degree/certification/etc.. I've been personally working with Mike Deeb, who is the best of the best. He knows what he is doing as an experienced sourcer/recruiter so he knows what its like to sit in my chair. He has walked through the system with me from start to finish, scheduled follow-up calls until I was comfortable without them, replies quickly to any emails with questions that I send, and is always happy to hop on a call to sort through any kinks, issues, or challenges that arise. **What do you dislike about SeekOut?** There are a few technical issues or things that can be improved to make the user experience better. Can share with managers as well. That you can join classes for Seekout to get a better grasp of what to do. You also can have people that you have already looked at be downsized so you do not keep having them pop-up. You can make a project and it will store all of your candidates until you need them. You have all the information at your fingertips. You can use keywords. Help box is very responsive. **What do you dislike about SeekOut?** If they could have a job description to fit the position that you are looking for. They do have several available. It does not keep all of your search words when you go back to pull up your project. That when you go into Linkedin for candidates that their profiles are locked or the emails are no longer valid. In the spreadsheet have to many columns for the emails (5 rows) Could condense spreadsheet. To many catagories listed in spreadsheet. At times the Online help does not understand what you are asking. Maybe could use more clarification as to how it works. To get the most benefit out of the help box. I think a check-in would be great after a couple of weeks on SeekOut for people to ask questions and maybe it would help others. I feel the training class should be closer to when the people have the System as some people are hands on and they learn faster and are more effective. If two weeks prior the training gets lost. **Recommendations to others considering SeekOut:** Be patient and use the resources provided as it is a excellent tool. **What problems is SeekOut solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is excellent you can make different job titles that you are looking. They offer classes so you can get more familiar with the program. Gives you a numerous amount of candidates. Do not know if their is a way to exclude people on LinkedIn that have their profiles locked. Had many candidates that profiles were locked or the emails provided no longer work. Really brings down the candidates. Need to condense the spreadsheet. To many categories listed. ### 39. Also, I've had where a candidate had gone through a gender transition, and it hadn't updated to their new name on LinkedIn.
