## Securly Aware Reviews
  ### 1. Helping Us See the Whole Picture: 2 Years with Securly Aware in Our School

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph M. | Director of Information Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Securly Aware?**

We've been using Securly Aware in our school for about a year now, and it’s been a solid addition to our digital safety efforts. At first, I was skeptical—like many K-8 schools, we already had web filtering and basic monitoring in place. But Aware took things a step further.

The real-time alerts for flagged content have been especially helpful. It’s not just about catching red flags; it’s about context. Aware does a good job of showing the surrounding conversation or activity, which makes it much easier to respond appropriately. We've had a few situations where a student typed something worrying in a shared doc or email, and Securly notified us almost instantly. That kind of speed makes a difference.

From a privacy standpoint, I appreciate that it's focused on student safety, not surveillance for the sake of it. It’s not overly invasive, but it gives enough insight for staff to step in when needed.

Setup and integration with Google Workspace were pretty straightforward. Support was responsive when we had questions, and the dashboard is user-friendly—our counselors and deans didn’t need a lot of training to get comfortable with it.

If your school is trying to take a more proactive stance on digital wellness and student mental health, Aware is worth looking into. It doesn’t solve every issue, but it gives schools the visibility and tools to act early.

Here are our view of the Pro for this app:

Timely alerts with context

Easy to use, clean dashboard

Solid integration with Google

Responsive support team

**What do you dislike about Securly Aware?**

Occasional false positives (but manageable)

Pricing may be a stretch for very small schools

**What problems is Securly Aware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Securly Aware is helping us address the challenge of identifying potential student safety concerns in digital spaces that typically go unnoticed—like Google Docs, emails, and chat. Before Aware, we really had no visibility into what students were typing or sharing unless a teacher happened to catch it. Now, we get alerts when something might indicate bullying, self-harm, or other red-flag behaviors.

The biggest benefit is being able to respond early. We’ve had a few situations where students expressed distress in ways that would’ve slipped through the cracks, and because of Aware, our counselors were able to reach out quickly and provide support. It’s also helped us open up conversations with students and families around digital behavior and mental health.

Overall, it’s taken a lot of guesswork and “hoping for the best” out of the equation. We feel more confident that we’re keeping kids safe online—not just from external threats, but from the stuff they might be struggling with silently.

  ### 3. Aware Allows Excellent Insight Into Student Wellness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert M. | Network Administrator - Level 2 Technician, Primary/Secondary Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Securly Aware?**

Securly Aware is an excellent addition to our district's admin software library. It helps admins keep students safe and gives the district peace of mind and an opportunity to release their anxiety.

**What do you dislike about Securly Aware?**

The Web interface has limited reporting functionality. It would be nice to get a PDF or CSV with date parameter options for historical reporting. I can understand that it's more of a realtime tool instead.

**What problems is Securly Aware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives admins in our district an opportunity to intervene in the lives of students who they wouldn't know need intervention without Securly Aware. It's been extremely helpful!

  ### 4. Fantastic for Student Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara M. | School Counselor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Securly Aware?**

Auditor sends snippets of student internet searches that flag and allow me instant access.

**What do you dislike about Securly Aware?**

No complaints! I have only had positive experiences.

**What problems is Securly Aware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Securly Auditor helps identify risky behavior or self-harm or potential violence that students are searching for 24/7. I can also go look at an individual student and see all of their searches to give me a bigger picture.
