What do you like best about Security Blue Team?

Security Blue Team does a great job of structuring the content. The content is chronological and uses practical labs to practice the concepts learned during lecture. The practical exams are great as completing a full incident investigation from Initial Access to Data Exfiltration is way more fun and satisfying than passing knowledge-based certificates! What do you dislike about Security Blue Team?

At times, some of the labs could be a bit slow. However, this is somewhat expected with the low price point of BTL1 certificates. The exams have more resources allocated, allowing the trainee to pivot through the scenarios/investigations in an efficient way. Security Blue Team also has a lot of reading which is highly dependent on the user's learning style. Personally, I prefer video-based learning but the labs and occasional videos kept me going throughout this training! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Austin, many thanks for your review! Glad to hear you enjoyed the training and our practical assessment. I've noted your feedback about the delivery style (more videos and labs) and will pass this to the relevant teams for review, as we want to provide the best learning experience for everyone. Thanks again!

What do you like best about Security Blue Team?

What I like best about Security Blueteam is the quality of content they produce and emphasis on hands on technical training. They are some of the best in the business when it comes to that. The lab environments were stable for the most part and they have better infrastructure than most in this type of business.

I also enjoyed how on the exams they introduced a twist that may have been a subset of a topic covered in the material but would require research to uncover the artifacts in that specific part of the exam. Making this pivot wasn't too difficult or "out of left field" - it was just right and fair. I respect that a lot because the course objectives aligned with what it took to pass the exam. What do you dislike about Security Blue Team?

In late 2023 and early 2024, exam grading times were horrifically slow. However, I have friends who have taken the exam recently and have said there is very quick turnaround now.

My only other gripe would also be having limited access to the exam course material. The material, in my opinion, should be PDF downloadable at the time the subscription starts to the end of the subscription so professionals can reference it later in their careers and aren't soley relying on memorization. Other than that, I really enjoyed the experience and learned a ton. I would recommend this course to any Cybersecurity industry professional looking to expand their skillset. Hi Donnell, thanks for taking the time for this detailed review. Great to hear you found the hands on approach and exam structure both challenging and fair. It is good to know the labs were working well with a good infrastructure, our team work hard to make sure it's a stable and reliable experience throughout.

Appreciate you highlighting the point around material access. That kind of feedback is really helpful as we look at how to support professionals over the longer term.
