"An easy way to run an online contest"

What do you like best?

Setting up a contest is easy once you have some experience messing around with the product. You can set up a lot of different types of contests, like tournament brackets for sports, sweepstakes, or a photo submission contest for your site. (Yes, you can have that cutest pet contest!) There are 11 different contests that you can create.

What do you dislike?

Managing contests can be a little complicated at first. As a novice, you would have to go through some trial and error to make sure your contest is doing what you want it to do. The good news is that you can set up test contests so you don't have to worry about have a contest that's not exactly what you thought it would be go live on your website.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you want to run different kinds of contests on your website, give it a try.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Second Street allows us to run contests for football season by allowing us to designate a set of games each week in which the user is tasked with choosing the winner. This allows us to have another to interact with fans of our website.

"Complex product with lots to offer"

What do you like best?

Second Street has many options that will likely benefit you in your market. They offer their email service, which includes neat widgets, a simple way to create opt-in and segment audiences and always lend a helping hand. Their contests and interactive content offer endless option to engage with your audience from sweepstakes, photo contests, tournament brackets, ballots, polls, surveys, and quizzes. The regular webinars, seasonal guides and seller guides help coming up with new ideas. Competent team that knows their product!

What do you dislike?

I think it is necessary that one person takes the lead organizing the use of Second Street for their company. The platform offers many options and can be overwhelming, so if various individuals don't spend enough time with it benefits of the platform could be missed. Appointing one person as the point of contact helps.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use the email services as well as various contests for community engagement and received good feedback from the community. They email system integrates well with those contests.

"Great software, has a lot of capabilities for marketing and customer demographic/data collection"

What do you like best?

Love the contesting solutions and customization of survey questions for all promotions. Ability to variety of different promotions like sweepstakes, photo, video, quizzes, and more — they always have something that fits what we’re trying to do with online promotions.

Email blasts are easy to set up.

What do you dislike?

Can be glitchy at times. We’ve had a couple cases where emails were held up or contests had issues because of software glitches on their end. They’re always very quick to figure out what’s going on and find a solution though.

There aren’t many templates for email blasts and they aren’t extremely customizable without editing the code yourself.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Second Street for all of our newsletters (we currently offer four) and promotional emails to our database. They also manage our database and help maintain demographic and other information on the users in that database. We’re able to ask custom questions in our promotions to find out specific information pertaining to our needs and/or our advertisers’ needs.

"Useful and always trying to improve"

What do you like best?

They give you all the analytics you need in a clear and concise manner.

What do you dislike?

A couple of services could be improved like their bracket platforms to flow better and be easier to set up.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would recommend this product to anyone looking to use a comprehensive data collection platform. I came from using much weaker software and this made my life much easier.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to look and how our email databases breakdown as well as funnel our audiences into different categories to be able to tell more about their specific interests.

"Secondstreet is great for approving viewer photos"

What do you like best?

the ease of approving photos for a website that can be viewed by the public.

What do you dislike?

I do not like the fact that you canno't separate the viewer submitted photos by submission date. Often times I am looking for a photo and can not find it.

This is a great product for using to approve photos submitted by outside parties
