"It's about about time we focus on defensive programming. And SecDim gives us the tool to lean how."
5/5
What do you like best about SecDim?

I realy liked the Git based approach of solving challenges. Basically you can do almost everything (some tests are hidden on server side only, to make challenges harder) locally. Which made the experience much smoother.

The platform is also constantly growing, with new challenges being added regularly, ensuring that there's always fresh content to tackle. I especially appreciate that the challenges aren't tied to any single programming language, allowing you to dive in no matter your preferred language.

The support team is equally impressive. I recall instances where I received assistance with a task almost immediately, even before I thought of submitting a ticket! This shows how actively they monitor platform performance and ensure users have a smooth experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

Nothing really. I just wish I had more free time to check out all of the challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great platform for the whole team"
5/5
What do you like best about SecDim?

I'm always looking for ways to upskill my engineering teams on security practices so everyone is actively looking for vulnerabilities. It's become so critical and can't just be left to security specialists.

SecDim covers the key vulnerabilities you should be looking out for and after using it I found it great fun as well. Super simple setup, you can test everything locally and has provided a great foundation for starting discussions on vulnerabilities for me and my teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

Nothing really, it does what it says on the box and nails this niche really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The war game and challenge sets are highly engaging and instructive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

I don’t have many complaints. Perhaps the only thing is that some of the challenges can take a minute to build. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The only real world attack and defend secure coding platform"
5/5
What do you like best about SecDim?

We used SecDim to provide WarGame contest for developers of different backgrounds. They loved it. SecDim allows teams to learn both how to defend and attack applications. Students can learn from each other while understanding how defend their code, in a wargame style.

What I loved is the ability for developers to create security fixes and publish their code for the others to attack. Gamification with real code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

Nothing. Support was alaways ready to answer our question. They setup our wargames in minutes and allowed us to deliver a great experience to our customers.

If you want a suggestion: organize an online or onsite wargame with the SecDim team to explore the power of this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great secure coding training for developers"
5/5
What do you like best about SecDim?

There is a growing market of platforms for secure code training, but they are too focused on just a digital platform, rather than human connection in teaching, and working with your company to understand where your developers security weaknesses are.

Secdim provides trainers to really help teach your developers about security weaknesses, the platform then helps to drive that home.

The training is up-to-date and uses novel approaches like wargaming to get engagement and participation. All our developers have had a very positive outcome from using secdim. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

Ensure that you incorporate the human training element when using secdim as this really helps drive behaviour change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SecDim’s git-based secure code learning is a genius idea"
5/5
What do you like best about SecDim?

Git based secure code learning is a genius approach that SecDim has taken to engage developers in secure coding. SecDim has used the most popular medium that is used by almost every developer to teach security. Learning secure coding has become very implicit and aligned with developer ways of doing things. By debugging SecDim apps, I saw how our developers quickly learned, and applied their learning to find and fix security vulnerabilities in code and design of the apps. No text or video tutorial can educate secure coding this effectively to your developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

SecDim could show how to customise the secure coding challenge using their open source SDK. This will make the content very relevant to your real recurring security issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We used this platform during an in-person Security Workshop and it made learning about security both enjoyable and engaging, while still being informative. Our team found it valuable and I would recommend going for the full package if it is available. It is worth it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

It has been a while since we used the platform and I am sure there have been more improvements and features added since then. At the time, we had a good experience and I imagine it is only gotten better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Hands On and Practical Secure Coding Learning Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about SecDim?

Love the hands on learning approach. very developer friendly and provides an interface which all devs are familiar with. The training has a strong focus on culture change where it aims to shift the mindset around security to one which is an integral part of the software development process. There is also a comprehensive list of resources provided! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

None. Howevere the platform focuses more on real-world experience. For beginners who do not have foundational knowledge, there might be a potential learning curve Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Practical drill in secure software delivery"
5/5
What do you like best about SecDim?

Thing is, if your company is serious about software security, knowhow needs to come from somewhere. The best way is by internal growth, but even for that ,one requires a constant reminder how good he/she is and some sort of a benchmark.

So, benchmarking and also just very profound practical knowlede is what one gets from SecDim. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecDim?

If you can, try to hire their specialist to do on-site first engagements. We did it, was not expensive and we are very happy we did. Made everything easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
