Compared to DooFinder search, Athos is very expensive (about three times the monthly cost), and they require yearly contracts (DooFinder does not). Athos also does not provide ANY end-of-term Athos coding or Athos script removal from your sites, so you are on your own for that. After being their customers for 10 years, we are very unhappy with their service and with how the relationship has ended. DooFinder is a great alternative and is much less expensive than Athos. What problems is Athos Commerce solving and how is that benefiting you? All Athos has provided is alot of nice words, but no action. To reiterate, do your due diligence before signing with them. I also really appreciate how easy it was to integrate with our e-commerce platform, and the analytics dashboard is quite helpful for tracking what users are searching for and where we might be missing opportunities. What I like best about Searchspring is how straightforward it was to implement and start seeing improvements. We used the platform on both BigCommerce and Shopify, and in both cases the setup was smooth and the performance was solid. It gave us immediate control over how products appeared in search, and tools like weighting and merchandising pages helped us shape the customer experience in a way that felt aligned with our business goals. For a growing business with a large catalog, this gave us a much more polished and effective customer experience than the default search from BigCommerce and Shopify. Our rep Matt was always very responsive and easy to work with, consistently following up and making sure we had what we needed, which made the overall experience with Searchspring even better. We probably didn’t engage with the platform as fully as we could have, which may have limited our ability to get the most out of its features. Some of the challenges we ran into- like catalog size constraints and slower support response times- might have been easier to navigate with a deeper level of involvement on our side. We’ve been using Searchspring since a colleague recommended it in 2016, and we’ve been extremely happy with our choice since then. To start, the team at Searchspring is extremely responsive and very helpful. They show legitimate interest in helping you utilize their tools to better your website. Most importantly, the search app and functionality is fantastic. It not only presents a cleaner, smarter search function for our customers, but it is customizable to ensure we can keep on top of the ever changing consumer environment. Upsides include not only the technical support but the diverse product stack. We began with search, and now use them for collection page, personilisation, cross-sell, bundles, and even integrate them with Klaviyo to increase CTR of our flows and campaigns. The dashboard itself is a little "old", but that's barely a dislike, because it works. I would rather have a plain looking dash than something fancy that doesn't do it's job.
