I really appreciate that Scytale serves as our system of record for compliance controls and evidence. Having our dedicated GRC Manager, Robin Williams, truly makes Scytale stand out because they operate like an extension of our internal team and help with compliance and auditing needs. Robin's understanding of how controls function in practice really cuts down on the back-and-forth during audit prep. I enjoy how Scytale integrates with our cloud platform, identity provider, and Git repo, which helps in automatically pulling evidence and providing visibility into our environment. I used Scytale to achieve compliance with SOC 2 and ISO. They were really helpful and supportive throughout the process, always checking in and making sure we stayed on track. We started working with their AI but midway it stopped, luckily Nir was there to pick up the slack. I wish their AI had more usage, like renewal usage maybe per day or per week, sometimes we were waiting for Scytale to check things , that the AI can do in less than a minute. It took a little time to figure out how to properly navigate between the different pages and what each one displays. They should keep their platform more stable; they are changing so fast that it is becoming a moving target. The integration support for platforms like DigitalOcean is limited, with few features and configuration aspects automatically controlled. Although this is somewhat expected given DigitalOcean's status compared to larger providers, it still poses a limitation, and improved support would be beneficial. Integration with Dependabot could be improved; dependabot is not behaving well on their side, but when they delete past vulnerabilities, Scytale thinks you have never fixed them, rather than dependabot reclassifying them. The consulting that comes with the platform is incredibly helpful. For me, the weekly calls with a friendly person are what really keep us on track, making sure we focus on the right things at the right time so we can get through the process of obtaining a new certificate as smoothly as possible. What I’m not so happy with is the quality of the integrations. Some information is gathered automatically, but there’s still quite a bit of evidence and other details that need to be entered manually. If you have AWS than it would be more powerful, I guess, but we have all done by ourselves and host it on a local hoster. This requires a lot of changes in the collection of evidence and completion of controls. Dian Strydom is most helpful with all the steps to be taken. He guides me through everything and helps me out with templates to complete the controls.

I find Scytale easy to use, with a great library of available templates that cover all the operations processes I need. The platform itself simplifies the process of SOC2 preparation a lot, and it contains lots of example templates I can use as a base. Also, the support from Scytale does great work in helping with those templates adjustments for our needs. There were no issues with the setup, as there was no need to deploy anything on our side; we just got access to the cloud platform.
