**What do you like best about ScyllaDB?**

It handle workloads very comfortably with optimum utilization of hardware. It provides low latency operations, both read and write. Team is very much confident with the level of support this DB provides us for both usability and reliability.

**What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?**

Though it does provide a lot of benefits to us, the pricing could be bit on the lower side. Also the documentation needs some improvement.

**What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to leverage the benefits of this DB for our internal tool that is helpful in scaling and managing multiple servers with it's low latency. APIs are easy to integrate with other NoSQL databases.

Consistent, reliable and real-time performance

Low latency you will not get garbage collection pauses

**What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

-using scylla db we are able to keep stateful processing in our data pipeline to update the data model in real time . earlier we were using redies our cost was enormous. using scylla db we reduce our cost by 80%

i needed scylladb for implimenting video audio engineering codec repositery so i could catalog video and audio for my company the main benefit
is not being struck to domin modeling like in a sql data base, which is mandatory when you are deling with video and audio codec meta data

am currently building a stream app and picked scylla db to test how suitable it will be with storing streaming data. it is pretty neat with support for wide range of API'S which gives me the flexibility to build in my own space

data restore  faster compare with other DB's

-migrated our event-driven architecture where we collect the data


-sped up customer response time to custonmer when theu wanted that data  and also enabled us to store even more informartion robustly
modular platform with scylladb providing the performance we need at scale we want at figer tip

-it is easy to move the data over without having to write one off custom scipts.  we wanted to obrain better read performance as well as reliabilty and 
wanted to feature proof solution i think scylladb has enabled us to be more productive in ths way

- migration very easy without down time

 - concarency managing is very good

I've recently started learning about ScyllaDB. As an open-source, community-based software, ScyllaDB is a robust and scalable NoSQL database designed to handle modern data needs effectively.

I have limited background of NoSQL Databases. hence, for me, Learning Curve isone thing: 
ScyllaDB can have a steep learning curve for those new to NoSQL databases or transitioning from SQL databases.

My other point of view is ScyllaDB can be Resource Intensive:
While it offers high performance, ScyllaDB can be resource-intensive, requiring careful planning and management of infrastructure.

**What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we are currently using a managed Oracle DB. 
Apart from the High end distributed applocations I am trying to understand How ScyllaDB's can be best and effective used for Not so Huge and highly intensive Datasets.

I really like scylla db over other dbs because of follwoing features over any other no sql sb:
1. Its ease of use differentiates it to any other db
2. it's integration with other dbs like cassandra is very good.
3. It scalability and high perfromance functionality makes it a good choice over other db

It's customer support and documentation part could be improved as when in trouble feels like a hurdle to continue the work

While working on huge data for our client we fel like speed and latency was a roadblock but with syclla db high performance and speed that too with low latency make it a best choice. It's easy to start with andintersting concept make it the best. Although price is bt expensive but over features compared to other competitive dbs equalises it.

**What do you like best about ScyllaDB?**

We have been using Scylladb as a primary db for one of our services. There is seemless transition from casandaradb. Apart from these it satisfies scalabiliy, reliability constraints which is required for high throughput services like ours. The documentation is also very well done.

**What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?**

Nothing to dislike here, it could have been great if there would be an out of the box driver from spring boot. We have to manually add the driver jar into the application.

**What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a database which is easiser to implement and understand. It should give basic features like caching, auto scalling out of the box. It should be reliable and tested in real world usecases.
ScyllaDB was a perfect choice for this problems as it has all these feature we required.

Blazingly fast and scalable with more than 50k+ queries going per seconds.
Docker images are easy to setup and docs are very relevant along with good tutorials at university.scylladb.com.
Its a stable database giving high availability and high performance after tweaking and tuning for particular usecase.

**What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?**

There is no autoconfig which can set tunables optimal for a given hardware which is must to get high performance.
Other than that, there are not major downsides except there is not much gain from the scylladb if request rates are very low. Other databases perform better for smaller usecases.

**What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its a high performance database which can scale really well and uses docker underneath for easy management and compatiblity.

This is the best database that has truly helped in managing the data in our organization. I am very impressed with some of its features like its good performance in managing the large amount of data, scalability, and security. I highly recommend it to any organization for a database solution.

There is nothing like such that I did not like but it can be somewhat difficult to use for the new people using this. Apart from this it is extremely useful for managing the data.

It is fast adapting and poplur db in industry. Its performance is very good as well as a well fault Tolerance capability 
Also it supports built-in data replication for high availability and no single point of failure

It is Relatively new in the market : Newer compared to some established databases, which might mean fewer third-party integrations.

We use it as a  KV database and also as our json based config store which stores the capacity and inventory of the product.

It provides replication facility because of which data can be accessed fast from any location. ANd also if there is any data loss, it can be recovred fast. The university courses are also very nice and helped me to grasp the understanding of it in detail.

Nothing as such. Expect a standalone windows installer.

The best part I felt was its performance and how extremely fast it is. I also liked the below few features:

- I found it to be a bit higher in terms of affordablity
- Due to lack of availability of learning resources and documentation, it is very challenging to do learning for Scylla DB

**What do you like best about ScyllaDB?**

The best part was the performance and scalability. In ScyllaDB each node is isolated which provided realy commendable performance with ease of use. Its multiple shards functionality made it unique compared to the ones which we were using. Once the community is build I think this can go places.

**What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?**

The documentation is less and community support is also low making it difficult to adopt.

**What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of our services are using Nosql databases.Our go to was MongoDB but with our latest service we tried this and it is performing well till now.  We are planing to replace mongdb with scyllaDB in other services as well.

We are using ScyllaDB Cloud on GCP. Its very usefull in large volume datasets handling. ScyllaDB cloud delivers superior performance, lower latencies, and resilience.
It is very usefull in high read write operations, where very low latency is expected.
Migration to ScyllaDB from existing NoSQL DB was very easy.
Spring Boot based integration was easy to implement.

Subscription fee is bit on higher side, it can be made simpler. Pay as you go model will help customers.

2. The community size is still small, hence support for doubts is less.

Scylla does well with highs. through put applications with schemas and managing like adding/remove nodes are very easy. Also easy for migration to dif DC and clouds. Implementation alse can be automated with ansible and terraform. scylla is giving very good sutomer support. We can integrate with elasticseaerch easily.

Read latency is the main problem in scylla when compaction is running.

We used to have a lot of timeouts, latency, and failures when we were in Cassadra, and Scylla has solved all of these issues in a very efficient manner.

The distributed thing, and with that, high availability. We're in the planning stages, but It looks like a good fit for us... where we have multiple facilities (in different countries), with dubious connectivity continuity. So far, it seems I've attracted the attention of at least one Scylla to our scenario. Rare indeed.

**What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?**

Having limited time to get to grips with it properly. It would be nice if I could get my head around it all in a "dinner and a movie" timeframe, but it's looking more like I'd have to "binge watch" a Korean Drama series that had at least 120 episodes.

**What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not yet solving problems for us, but it's giving hope that we might be able to address our multi-facility issues
