People say you can only pick two out of three in the following in a product. - faster,better and cheaper . However there is clear exception to this and Scylla ticks all these three boxes. **What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?** Needs some additional work in the backup/recovery space. However since its mostly cloud native / born in cloud like archictectures, I would not say this is major issue. However I would like to have a better point-in-time and partial database recovery/transfer features. **What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** Managing large amount of constantly changing high volume data has never been easy-- Also when latency is part of the equeation, this makes this problem very complex. I guess the main thing at this point is learning a new cloud and how to interact with it. But at the same time, the python interface that I'm used to with other DBs is relatively similar. **What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** ScyllaDB provides a quick, vendor-neutral interface to a Database as a Service. As an independent developer, I need to be able to stand up services quickly and, often, hand them over to other people to manage. No hassle of handling the JVM. The installation process be a bit more simplified for bare minimum installations. **What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was using Cassandra as my primary database for the application requirement, which worked great since long time. Recently we needed to add a huge amount of historical data to the cluster which increased the cluster size too much due to the data soft limit per node, so migrating to Scylladb is a better option that doesn't require scaling as frequent as Cassandra do. Also with more request per second and more amount of data ScyllaDB is giving better performance. ### 48.
