I chose Scrunch for my small digital marketing agency, so I use it daily to track AI visibility across multiple clients. My account rep was great to work with and helped me quickly set up an instance for a prospect I was about to pitch. I subscribed for an agency starter package after that since I liked the experience and the tool itself, which looks professional enough to pitch to an enterprise.

It makes prompt tracking easy. The automatically generated prompts give you a good place to start when setting up a brand, and then you can refine the prompts as you get to know the landscape better. The line charts and day-to-day views are really easy to read (green vs. red).

The agency starter package lets you track more prompts than most SEO software programs. You can economize your prompt usage by choosing to check against only the LLMs you really need to track (like ChatGPT) instead of all of them.

The insights can be helpful, especially when trying to come up with quick wins for clients. I really like the agent traffic feature, which is something I haven't found in other software. I like that the agency starter package comes with tracking for 450 custom prompts, but then again each LLM you select counts as 1. So if you want to monitor ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity, you only have 150 prompts you can track. Ultimately, this isn't a deal killer since you can upgrade for more prompts, which I'll likely do as I grow and add more clients. Other platforms don't always let you buy more prompts.

Sometimes I notice that tracking will randomly skip for a day (or a few days). For example, I won't get ChatGPT results for a given prompt, but I'll get other LLM results.

There's no good way to generate reports using Scrunch. I'm not advanced enough to figure out how to use the API to feed data into reporting tools. The dashboard is nice, though, and I've been able to give my clients view-only access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We evaluated almost all of the AI Metrics tools out there, and found Scrunch to hit the sweet spot in both price and features. There are numerous recommendations and action items that can be found after the audits that come from the Prompts & Insights section. There are many nuggets of information that are great to find in the Citations section, which help to see what competition our websites have in different AI platforms that reference competitors who provide a similar service or product. The AI traffic section is a bit finicky to work with, specifically on the permissions front. The situation that I find myself in is that if my Google profile is on one account, but the Google account that I am logged into is a different one (the account that has access to the analytics account), Scrunch will not recognize that I am on the "correct" account, which does not provide proper analytics permissions for the AI traffic section. I would also like to see an update for this page where the drop-downs provide more ways to drill down into different data. For example, a website that we monitor cannot see page data unless it is set as "Page path + query string", which is not available on Scrunch.

The dashboard is really clean, which I do like! I would recommend, however, providing more information set as "highlights" that we can view from the dashboard that specifically shows data points on what stands out for each section (can either be good or bad). There are so many startups offering AI visibility measurement tools now, but Scrunch stands out for its ease of use and powerful filters. As a PR firm, the Sources tab is especially valuable since it reveals how citations in AI can differ from traditional media. Often mid-tier or trade publications matter more in LLMs than tier 1 outlets, which is a huge benefit for our smaller clients. The ability to filter by topic has also been a game-changer as we can break down a clients AI visibility in more detail to see where they over and underperform. Scruch also has a chatbot support feature where an actual HUMAN responds. Usually I get a response within 30 minutes. That level of customer service is critical! I would like the option to trend the data in the UI, which I currently have to build manually in Excel. And their exports could be cleaner and easier to match with the UI but if you are average in Excel you will be able to dig into the raw data with just a couple pivot tables. It strikes a great balance between ease of use and depth of insight, which has made it easy for both technical and non-technical team members to get value quickly.

Every piece of feedback we’ve shared has been met with thoughtful questions, quick iterations, and in some cases, direct improvements to the product. I use Scrunch AI to keep up with brands, mentions, competitors, prompts, and understand how the audience searches for brands. It saves me a lot of time by providing insights, and I'm super excited to use the sentiment and shopping features for more insights on brand products.
