**What do you like best about Scribe?**

What I like best about Scribe is how quickly it turns real workflows into clear, step-by-step documentation without interrupting the work itself. It makes it much easier to capture processes as they happen, which has been especially helpful for my role documenting operational and administrative workflows The interface is straightforward and sharing guides with others is simple.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

One limitation is that Scribes often require manual cleanup after recording, especially when sensitive information needs to be removed or when the captured steps include unnecessary clicks. The editing tools are functional but can feel somewhat limited when trying to make more precise adjustments.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the challenge of documenting processes quickly and accurately without relying on manual write-ups. Many of the workflows I support involve multiple systems and detailed steps, and capturing those consistently can be time-consuming. It also makes it easier to transfer knowledge, support team members in different time zones, and keep operational documentation up to date as processes evolve.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I love the simplicity of being able to make workflow documentation and then edit how much or how little of each screen the viewer can see. I also enjoy the ability to create video tutorials that walk you through each step of a process. Our team finds it extremely easy to use the system with little to no guidance. I personally use Scribe at least 1-2 times per day for creating workflow guides for my team. We easily integrated into our environment with zero training required! Implementing Scribe required zero downtime.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I cannot export video files. This would be extremely helpful in my environment.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe has eliminated the need for me to walk multiple staff through how to perform a specific task. It has also allowed me to share step-by-step guides with our 1700+ membership-based platform subscribers.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like that Scribe is easily shareable and device-friendly. It's easy to use, and I appreciate that you can edit SOPs easily afterward. I also like that it grabs the logo or design from the company when I'm creating SOPs or a step-by-step guide. It's great that everything is in one place, making it easily accessible and intuitive to follow. The initial setup for Scribe was very easy, which I found really convenient.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like that I can use the desktop app and the Google Chrome extension, and I like the ability to choose what it can see. I also really like that I can redact any personal information to protect privacy, while still showing exactly what's needed. I appreciate how quickly and easily I can use the features, just by clicking a button. I also enjoy being able to transcribe using my voice, making it straightforward to explain what's needed for each step.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The only thing I would say is that when creating documents, it would be nice if I could add a Scribe step in there where it can automatically take screenshots, versus me having to link a scribe within the document. But I don't have any complaints.

I use Scribe to create step-by-step instructions, making it easy to show users exactly what to do for complicated processes or basic tasks.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

The time saving benefits of using Scribe are undeniable. I was previously using what I thought were excellent tools for screen capture - and they are - but using Scribe has cut the time it takes me to make a guide down to a fraction of what it used to be. Hit capture, do the thing, make a few edits - bam, done! Importantly for someone who already has a million tools, it took almost no setup and virtually no time to learn. Once signed up I was creating & sharing Scribes in minutes.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I would love to see a built-in feature to use your own custom domain for Scribe sharing links. Some more robust options for organising your Scribes, such as folders, would also be nice. Finally, the integration with Confluence has some issues, but, to be fair, I'm not sure if those are on Scribe's side or Confluence's.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently we are using it to quickly create client-facing guides for every day technical issues or common tasks. Going forward we will likely also use it for internal guides too.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I really love how easy Scribe is to use. The capturing is accurate and fast, and editing Scribes is easy, even if it's a bit tedious at times. I like that we don't have to worry about formatting when creating the final procedure, as it's all automatically in the Scribe format. The features for editing images are robust, including redacting and editing the click targets. It takes out a lot of the building of SOPs by automatically recording screen grabs, clicks, and typed words, and it provides a clear, repeatable, and uniform procedure. The initial setup was super easy, kind of a plug-and-play experience, with the Chrome extension and desktop capturing both being very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

It would be nice to be able to take existing procedures that we already have and have them be converted into Scribes using AI or something like that. It also would be nice to be able to export Pages. Additionally, there is a step limit where Scribe will automatically stop capturing, it would be nice if you had more steps/longer for more detailed procedures.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe takes a task I usually procrastinate on, documentation, and makes it much less painful. Instead of having to run through a “sample case,” I can create a Scribe while I’m doing the real process in real time. I like that it captures steps as I work and turns them into something clear and usable without interrupting my flow. The transcription piece has been especially helpful since I tend to narrate my processes anyway, so talking through what I’m doing and having that turn into documentation feels very natural. The screenshots and step-by-step format also make it easier to share instructions with people who have different levels of technical comfort.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Because it captures everything, it can sometimes capture too much. If I move quickly, correct myself, or jump around, I usually need to go back and clean things up. I’ve also had moments where I forgot to stop a capture or accidentally deleted an active process mid-task. I wish there were a way to recover or access an accidentally deleted capture in the moment before it’s saved as a Scribe, even briefly. Editing is straightforward overall, but longer workflows still take some time to polish. I’d also like more flexibility in formatting for situations where the documentation needs to be more formal or externally facing.

Scribe solves the “I’ll document this later” problem, which usually means “never.” Being able to document real workflows as they happen means the instructions are accurate and current. That’s reduced follow-up questions, improved consistency, and saved time that would otherwise be spent re-explaining the same steps.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like the seamless integration in the browser and the ability to record desktop applications. Scribe makes it easy to create manuals for the software we use at our company. I really appreciate how you can activate the extension with just two clicks, and you're immediately ready to record. Plus, it shows me which actions were captured, which gives me more control. It's also very easy to edit afterwards, which is a big time saver.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Putting a few steps together into a GIF with AI doesn't give me any control to emphasize certain things. I want to be able to slow down transitions and highlight something before proceeding.

The best part about Scribe is how much time is saves you. Saves time instead of taking screenshots. We are able to document processes and share them quicker than setting up a meeting. And you can be as thorough as you need to with its editability. I find I am using it more and more often.

There was only one instance instead of sharing the link, I accidentally granted a license to another user who did not have one. But that was my first time using the platform with no training.

Scribe is helping us document processes that were previously undocumented. And its helping us train useres with the correct processes with each click documented through scribe.

I love that Scribe is very intuitive and easy to use. I love the editing feature and the ability to pause my Scribe if I get distracted during my workday. The step-by-step tutorials pick up steps I wouldn't have thought were helpful for sharing, making it a game changer for saving time and releasing training material more quickly. Setting up Scribe was also super easy.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I think it would be great if there was an 'undo' option in case you accidentally delete a slide. It would also be useful to have an option to not include text entries as steps, like all the spacing required during entering text fields.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Scribe to set up digital systems, enhancing efficiency. It's intuitive and easy to use. The editing feature and pausing capability are great. The step-by-step tutorials identify helpful steps for sharing, saving time and speeding up release of training materials.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like that I can just go through the process for myself and then go back and edit for clarity. I appreciate that I don't need to think about creating explanations upfront. It helps because I can do whatever the process is that I'm trying to teach quickly and easily. When I have that template from Scribe, I can add my own touches and details as needed without starting from scratch. The initial setup was really easy.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

When I'm creating tutorials with Scribe, sometimes the things I click on don't register properly. It captures every keystroke, and some of them end up being confusing or irrelevant. Also, some screens don't have a picture taken when they should. It would be helpful if Scribe could zoom out a bit and focus more on the goals of the process rather than just the exact keystrokes.

I really appreciate that Scribe is a huge time saver, cutting back my time spent making training materials by approximately 70%, which gives me time to do other things. The screen capture feature is fantastic and makes life so much easier. I also like that I can censor sensitive information, which is really handy. Setting up Scribe was super easy; I just signed up and got started right away.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

There are times it doesn't capture buttons on the screen. Like when you're doing a drop down and have to click a check mark to close the drop down, it doesn't tend to pick up on the check being clicked.

I like that Scribe is easy to use, which makes it straightforward to edit screenshots anytime after they've been taken. It also saves time by eliminating the need to manually capture screenshots and add them to written instructions in SOPs. I can easily redact personal information from these screenshots or change the focal point based on the instructions I want to add.

I wish there was a way to format the templates differently or select templates that make screenshots look more like an instructional handout, instead of a one-page guide. The initial setup was fairly easy, but it was confusing to configure the free account to capture all of my screens, not just Chrome.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I don’t just like Scribe—I absolutely love it! Scribe has transformed our dull Word documents and static screenshots into dynamic, real-time screen-recorded documents. It has significantly enhanced our workflows, standard operating procedures, and instruction manuals. Capturing a process or procedure on your desktop is incredibly straightforward, allowing you to document steps as you go without needing to pause or restart. I also appreciate how easy it is to edit, add text, and include additional steps after the initial capture. After I introduced Scribe to my company, we now have a team of users making the most of the Pro version.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

When using Scribe in a large company, various users across different departments end up creating their own scribes tailored to their specific processes. However, Scribe currently lacks the ability to create folders. For example, it would be helpful if a customer service team could have a dedicated folder named 'customer services' within the shared platform, allowing them to keep their scribes organized and separate from those of other departments.

Scribe has been a real time-saver for me when creating SOPs and Work Instructions. It has also made it much simpler to prepare handover documents, which has resulted in a smooth transition process without any issues.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I have created hundreds of instruction sheets, with images, to explain how to do important tasks.  That Scribe does my screenshots for me, and allows easy editing of the instructions for each step, is such a win.  A picture is worth 1000 words, right?  I've loaded my Scribes on my internal support website, and created help ticket templates with the links embedded, saving time and making the answers easy for our users to follow.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I find the image editing tool to be cumbersome.  When I need to highlight various areas of the screen, or include text boxes, or arrows, or highlights, I find myself using my old tool and creating a instruction documents instead.  I would love it if the strengths of something like PicPick were embedded in the image editor.  The biggest con in our environment is that it is difficult to mask student PII which is inherently in many screen  captures.

We get repetitive help tickets for simple tasks.  Existing help sheets don't meet every need, as they can be more text heavy.  Scribes are graphics heavy, but allow editing of instructions and are a great blend.

I enjoy the automated screenshots each time a click is made. I also appreciate the ability to be able to go back and refine at any time. This means when a process changes, particularly a software based one that we have no control over, we can simply update the scribe with the impacted steps. I also like that you can copy steps and move to other scribes. This saves time for redundant steps across many scribes.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

It would be great to be able to pause a scribe and come back. Currently, if my capture is interrupted by another task I am left with the option to either stop and start over later or continue and have to delete several irrelevant "steps" later.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like being able to use the option to add images and annotate them, as well as uploading short GIF videos of the steps we use. I also appreciate how easily we can organize it and add tips and tricks to the articles. It's just very organized.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

When I'm using Scribe to capture the desktop, it captures way too many steps. Every click, it's capturing even if I'm just trying to move an image over. So I wish it would better understand that I'm just trying to move an image over to show on the screen or maximizing to make the image a little bit larger instead of capturing it as an actual step.

I use Scribe to create guides for our team to assist end users efficiently, preventing knowledge from being confined to the IT team and enabling easy knowledge sharing.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

We needed an efficient method to go from a thought process to an easy to follow set of instructions without spending hours editing. We also needed to be able to produce the output in multiple formats without a massive duplication of effort each time. We didn't have a lot of time so the solution needed to have a very short learning curve and be able to integrate easily with the existing knowledge sharing architecture. Scribe checked all the boxes for us and more! We were able to try it out for free and max out what we could accomplish then make an easy case to the powers that be for upgrading to the paid version. From the beginning we used it daily for both internal and external customers. It was so easy to implement that one demo is all it took to get other departments using it. I reached out to their customer service a few times and the responses were always quick. We have saved so much time since we started using Scribe.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

We've had a few cases where a scribe that was open for editing crashed/stuck/reset and changes were lost. This doesn't happen often though.Moving Scribes from one folder to another sometimes results in the Scribe not being found in either folder.  Thankfully in these cases we were able to find them by searching then moving them again.  The Scribe platform is still growing and developing and this means that certain features you think should exist haven't been developed yet, for example exporting pages to a PDF. I also wish Scribe and a more secure "view only" only mode without needing to add more team members.

Scribe has allowed us to quickly and easy document processes and share the information in easily digestible formats.

I love how easy Scribe is to use, it's very straightforward. I can share it with anyone via a link, which is very convenient. The ROI is easy and clear to see, and having my time back makes a huge impact. Scribe has significantly reduced the time spent on slow explanations and how-to steps. The ability to capture the screen, provide details on where to click, and the AI aspect are amazing. The initial setup was smooth and quick. I rate it a 10 out of 10, or even higher if I could, because it is an extremely smart investment for me and my team.

Not much to dislike about this system but I would suggest downloading the program to your computer verses the web extension which sometimes can be "clunky".

Scribe has been an invaluable tool in my work as part of a training team. I use it to create clear, easy-to-follow step-by-step processes for trainees, covering everything from using Canva to handling different integrations and navigating various courses.

What I love most is how quickly Scribe captures my workflow and automatically turns it into a polished guide, complete with screenshots and text. Scribe has become an essential tool in my work as an online department head and faculty trainer. It completely transformed how quickly and clearly I can document workflows. Instead of taking a dozen screenshots or scheduling a video call, I can capture a process once, edit as time goes on or if small items change, and instantly have access to a clear, organized guide. I appreciate how easy it is to edit steps, add notes, and keep guides updated as systems change. My instructors tell me that Scribes make even complicated tasks feel manageable. I like being able to organize Scribes into folders to stay organized and to keep like-processes all together in one area. **What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe allowed me to create a large amount of procedure documents in a short time just by performing the actually tasks. As I went about a project the documents were created. And editing is easy. We use have used it to create SOPs for our entire department. This had been a future project for years but we never started it because of time needed for completion. Scribe allowed us to do it with minimal extra time needed.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

No major downside. The only thing is more a user issue not a program issue. It is to remember to pause a scribe if you are doing something else in between making the document. It is easy to forget to press pause and then you must delete all those excess slides.

Also wish the PDF documents split a little better. I feel like the page breaks are not the best and I haven't found a way to easily shift them.

Finally I wish you could drop in jpegs within your steps.

I love that I can perform the task and as I am doing it, and easy to follow guide is created. This saves me at least an hour for each SOP I make. I do not have to go through and make screenshots anymore. I love the editing options for the images. Making a step by step guide has never been so fun. The fact that someone can ask to be guided (almost by hand) while they follow the SOP is the cherry on the top.

The only downside is it is proactive of taking snippets of everything you do, so there can be a lot of deleting unnecessary steps when you are completing the SOP.

Scribe is a very simple way to create detailed guides and walkthroughs. It's simple to to use and edit the screenshots. I also like that you can combine them into "gif"-style vids.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The site is a bit laggy at times. And it can be a little annoying to reorder steps in a large document, but zooming out in the browser makes that easier. Another thing that has been a little annoying is when you go to edit a screenshot, it automatically defaults to the "redact pen" —it would be nice for that to default to your last tool. And to be able to add multiple "click target." Finally, I wish there was an option to share Scribes with other teams — outside of the team you created the Scribe in — without having to grant permission to anyone with the link (someone could easily share an internal Scribe externally, and if the person has the link, they can access it).

Making guided walkthroughs so much easier. I used to create tutorial videos, and this is so much easier. It's incredible that I can simply update the text and screenshots, or add a new step, without having to redo a whole video or create a new PDF to send out.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I appreciate Scribe's ability to drastically simplify the process of creating and sharing 'how-to' guides, enabling me to efficiently communicate with clients in just a few minutes. This removes the need for laborious steps such as taking screenshots and manually compiling them into documents, a task that used to take much longer. I'm particularly fond of the feature that tracks every single click and provides suitable instructions using appropriate HTML tags, adding significant value in terms of clarity and guidance. Additionally, the straightforward setup process makes Scribe easy to start using with just a small learning curve, and its capability to function smoothly with large and legacy software is highly beneficial. The tool’s simplicity and the time it saves for these tasks are compelling reasons for me to continue purchasing it. Overall, Scribe is incredibly user-friendly and efficient, making it indispensable for both internal and external instructional sharing.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I find the categorization process a bit of a challenge, although it's a minor learning curve. Additionally, I dislike the current format limitations as I would prefer if Scribe could export videos of the clicking process into more widely-used formats like MP4, MP3, or MOV.

I use Scribe to rapidly create and share how-to guides, drastically simplifying the process versus manually screenshotting and documenting, saving significant time.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is a very simple, intuitive tool to use.  The controls are easy to manage, the documents are easy to edit, and distribution is a snap.  We are using it to document all of our small business SOPs - from accouting & bookeeping, order management, vendor management, and expense management.  Price is extremely reasonable for the capabilities that it provides.  A "force multiplier" for  me as a small business owner with a lot of complex processes.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I have no complaints or suggestions at this time.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documenting all of my processes, procedures and tasks so that we reduce the risk of exposure should something happen to me as the business owner.  Also allows me to more effectively delegate to my team, allowing me to focus more on working "on the business" versus "in the business".

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is super easy to use and it was easy to get set up. In my role, I need to create a lot of different step by step (how to) guides for our users and scribe makes it so easy. I don't have to take screenshots of every step, scribe does it for me and scribe highlights exactly where you click and what URL you are on. It's also great because it recognizes the names of the buttons and helps write part of the steps. What I love most is that if I do need to take a screenshot or include something that wasn't captured by scribe, I can upload it myself. It's super easy for me to embed into our help articles with html. I can also brand our scribes with our logo.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

It cannot capture if you are working in an extension

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making how-to guides easier to create. Saves time!

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like that it is easy to use. I have it pinned to my task bar and can start scribing with one click.  I like that I can edit the scribe, and I like that I have the option to turn it into a video if I want.  We have multiple staff that utilzie Scribe and it has become the standard for creating trainings for our staff.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I was hoping to use it for helping to create processes, and I have not found the info to do that with first glance.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has solved the issue of having to take screen shots of each step when creating how to guides, and this has helped not only with how the training material turns out, but, it is faster and easier to create.  Additionally, it helps keep our training material looking consistent with the same format

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I use Scribe as a school secretary to create step-by-step tutorials, streamlining processes like student registration and managing our internal database system. It's been a huge time saver and very simple to use, making the creation of procedure manuals much more time-efficient. I love the efficiency and professional look of the completed tutorials, and I appreciate that I can share them in a group or download them to PDF easily. The initial setup was very simple with just a quick tutorial, and I found Scribe to be very user-friendly.

At this time I have loved everything about Scribe....just wish I found it sooner!

I like how Scribe simplifies the process of creating quick setup guides, making them easier, quicker, and more professional-looking. The sharing feature is also convenient. The tool is user-friendly, particularly noting the click hotspots in movies and the ease of editing, cropping, and adjusting text. Its efficiency in highlighting and annotating key areas reduces the need for multiple platforms, enhancing productivity.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I found the limitations of the lower-tier version, as it did not allow desktop captures. This restriction forced me to upgrade to a higher plan, which was an unexpected hurdle. Additionally, I dislike the Scribe branding on movie links. I wish there were an option to remove this branding for a more professional appearance from links.

I use Scribe to create quick, professional-looking setup guides that are easy to share, improving my workflow efficiency. It consolidates tools by annotating and emphasizing key steps, which was previously spread across multiple platforms.

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I really enjoyed the fact that I can use Scribe anywhere I go. I use mainly the capture function because I can ensure that the next person who uses it can easily look at the target location. I like the specific target locations and the fact that I can edit the comments in the instructions. The initial setup of Scribe was user-friendly.

I don’t like the fact that I have to pay for additional services like creating an unlimited amount of pages for scribes.
