I used to love Scribe as a convient way to record how-to's and export as a PDF. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Scribe? However, instead of adding additional useful tools to the paywall to entice users to pay for the Pro plan, Scribe has retroactively gated previously free tools, like the "export to PDF." This signifies laziness and a likeliness of this tool's usefullness to expire in the near future to me, and so I would not recommend using this tool. It is -very- easy to (mostly accurately) capture the steps in a process you want to document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Scribe? The captured information often includes extra clicks, its nearly impossible to consistently customize the look of any markups, it's clunky to zoom, and it routinely gets the text of buttons and menus wrong. It's adequate for me to use to record my actions once -- and then see those notes to write up a decent set of instructions for a user. But the documentation output is not accurate enough or focused enough to make the instructions easy for the end user of the instruction. It's easy for -me- creating the documentation, but if that documentation is not appropriate, concise and apt, it's not helping me deliver a good work product to my users.
