Additionally, I wish the platform offered more precise tools and simpler integration with CAD files, as this would make technical tasks more efficient and help surveyors interpret work points more effectively. Scribble Maps addresses a significant challenge I face when planning projects: clearly communicating project boundaries, access routes, and work zones to collaborators without spending hours working with CAD files, which many of them are not familiar with. With this tool, I can quickly highlight specific areas of a project, measure distances, and share visual updates with both my team and supervisors. We continually strive to improve our performance. However, we thought we would let you know we improved support for CAD files and improved accuracy! It's now easier to import DXF files and you can select the unit they need to be when importing. If you go to UI settings, you can now turn on a new feature called "Preserve True Size" this will help keep sub-centimeter accuracy when moving or copying items on the map. The most helpful thing that I love about Scribble Maps is that I can draw, write, and mark up the map however I need to for whatever my purposes are. I can make a circle to show a certain area and then I can put markers around and within that circle highlighting key landmarks. I can easily label these markers so that I don't forget what they are. I love using the line tool to dissect the circle based on the circle's degrees, which I often need to do when making the maps I like to make. It is easy to download a PDF of the map that you make which is great because I like to store my maps on my computer so that I can print them out easily in the future. I find that some of the tools are not as intuitive as I'd like and I have to watch tutorials to learn how to use them, which increases the time it takes to create certain maps. Back in the day with paper maps, I always enjoyed marking places I'd explored on bike or on foot with a highlighter pen. I'd never found a similar system for online maps till I found this site. I now have maps with whatever background I fancy overlaid with all my explorations Just like in the old days. One colour for hikes. One colour for Classic Bike Rides and another for my Ebike rides. It's easy to see where my future explorations should be. and as soon as they are done, I download the GPX file from Komoot and upload them as a new overlay. In regards to changing bulk attributes, as of last month, we've made it easier to select and change attributes for multiple overlays at once using our lasso select tool. You can do this through the 3 dots to the right of a folder in the layer panel or by right-clicking on a group of markers that are multi-selected. Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) 1/24/2024 "Created Travel Maps for my guys very quick and with amazing details" 5/5 What do you like best about Scribble Maps? Being able to lock and unlock helps alot. The free hand tool works well and included with the blend tool makes the mistakes few and far between. I really appreciate being able to make the mark ups needed on a map with high detail and not just re making a pdf. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Scribble Maps? Sometimes the grab function is cumbersome and not being able to undo the mistake can cause some issues. The label tool could be better as well. At the end of the day it would be the edit tablet that causes me the most grief bu t pretty minor for the posistives the program brings to the table.
