What do you like best about ScreenPal?

ease of use, can use several options (screen, camera, both), everything is self-explanatory. Hit the camera to record. Can record just the screen, just the camera/mic, or screen and camera/mic. Can record up to 15 minutes, which is plenty Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ScreenPal?

The Chrome extension I use for it on my chromebook can be very finicky. While it's free license is great and offers all kinds of features, a lot of things cost money Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ScreenPal:

this is great for explaining how to use software and navigate a webpage. I can also use it to teach math concepts. Pretty easy and self-explanatory. I picked it up with absolutely no training, and you can too. Pretty much the easiest way to communicate instructions on software to other people.

Sometimes, when sharing information about using proprietorial software, I was told that I could not share them on youtube. But that should be true about any video-recording software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ScreenPal?

This software application has a free version that should meet most or all of your needs for simple screen recording for presentations and training materials at work. It is very easy to use and export the final file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ScreenPal?

There is not much to dislike about this simple and free version of the software application. If I had to choose one thing, I would like more export video options that work with other platforms and video file formats. The free version can be a bit limited in this regard if you want to do something different than most users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ScreenPal solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using this program to make training material for new hires to watch during the onboarding process. We do not have enough test stations and computers to use one for training rather than billable work, so the employee can watch these videos captured on the real computers to save time during training. You have an option for recording just your screen, or recording both the camera or the screen. Make sure you decide if your camera´s view at the bottom right will interfere with whatever you want to show from your screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ScreenPal solving and how is that benefiting you?

This is truly one of the programs that saved my life as a teacher, especially at the beginning of the pandemic. We began using an online literature platform, and I really needed an efficient way to explain to my High School students how to access it, get to their assignments, activate the audio feature, and so many more things. The best way to do that was to record my own screen and explain everything step by step. It was enlightening and answered all my students' questions in a very efficient way. "Great Recorder tool..!!"

What do you like best about ScreenPal?

UI is the best for this tool as it provides a user-friendly experience for the beginner who has just started. The Recorder has many great shortcuts used in an ongoing session, and the most valuable part is in a second, it reacts to the commands or shortcuts. We can record the screen with the required audio or the microphone narration with exact merge and best output. If recording the screen, the screen size can be set accordingly, and shortcuts like F9 and F10 to Start, Stop and Pause the recording works at its best. Also, after the recording is done, quality can be set, the folder can be selected to add the files into, and the Name can be changed and saved. Once the recording is complete, Merging or editing the audio, video is also a good feature. If not a paid subscriber, 15 minutes of recording is possible. Overall a great tool as it has good quality with less storage size compared to other software. It doesn't hang or lag even if using it for a long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ScreenPal?

If the installer is installed, it needs to be activated after every few days from the website. It redirects to the screencast-o-matic and needs to redownload or verify the installer to start using the tool after that. Pricing is high with good features. Editing still lacks some features as proper editing is possible but missing noise cancellation, image blur, etc. Quality is excellent but not up to the HD quality of some high-resolution videos. "Fantastic Screen Capture Tool - Many Features"

What do you like best about ScreenPal?

I love the width of features that the service offers. This isn't just a standard screen recorder and I love how many of them are available for free! One of the best things about Screencast-O-Matic is the cost. You get ALOT for one low rate. I love that I can use the desktop app to quickly create training videos, edit them and upload them to the Screencast-O-Matic hosting platform.
