What do you like best about Screencastify?

From our company in the sales department, we usually create videos to motivate our external salespeople. Of course, we don't have many resources, just a webcam and a microphone. With this, we can give directions to our salespeople abroad so they can understand more easily how the company works and the goals we want to achieve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Screencastify?

The only thing I didn't like is that to access the option for videos with unlimited duration, we have to pay out of our own pocket for the premium option, which is even simpler and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Screencastify:

A free application that allows us to record videos or audios with exceptional quality, it's a pleasure to work with tools like this, but without a doubt, the best part is how simple it is to use. What problems is Screencastify solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Good tool for recording"

What do you like best about Screencastify?

As I say in the title, it is a good tool for recordings, especially short ones, as it allows you not only to record easily and host it directly on Google Drive (a fantastic option by the way), but you can also annotate, draw, and write during the video while recording, which is very useful for highlighting or pointing out areas, texts, or whatever you need to emphasize over the rest. It is really a very good application and the best part is that it installs as an extension in your Google Chrome browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Screencastify?

What I liked the least, without a doubt, is that pointing things out with the tool's brush seems tacky, as it looks pixelated. They should definitely fix that part, because it breaks the overall quality of the product, which is otherwise superb. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With this tool in my organization, we can make videos in which we teach the data or current news in Spain that interests us, to then distribute among our subscribers and collaborators. "Easy to Use"

What do you like best about Screencastify?

I like that I can create videos for my students to demonstrate a process on the computer. I can record not only my computer screen, but also my voice at the same time to show and tell students what they should be able to accomplish. I also like that my videos automatically save to my Google Drive in a Screencastify folder. That makes it easy to find videos later on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Screencastify?

I do not like that it does not work with my document camera as much as I would like it to. I use a different program for that instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Try it a few times and play with the capabilities of the software. It is a great tool for teachers to use with their students.I think this would be helpful for teachers showing students how to do a multi-step process on the computer or how to use specific software. "Great Product -- Free and Easy to Use"

What do you like best about Screencastify?

As a G-Suite and Chrome browser user, it took me about a minute to setup and start recording. The product is FREE (with limitations) but I am considering to upgrade since the product is a lot cheaper than competing products. The user interface is very intuitive and easy to use. What do you dislike about Screencastify?

The FREE version is limited to recording only 10-mins and has the Screencastify watermark displayed. It would be nice if I could directly upload my videos to YouTube and if I could highlight the mouse pointer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes it's difficult to communicate information just using email or chat messages. Especially when your colleagues are in a different time-zone, it makes it even more challenging. I try to solve this problem by creating short presentations or explainer videos sharing my screen and sending it as link via Google Drive or YouTube to my colleagues, clients and even friends. "Use Screencastify for Tutorial Videos for Work"

What do you like best about Screencastify?

We love Screencastify. We end up using them for tutorial videos for work all of the time. At first, I thought we would have to hire people to make these, but I end up making these tutorials myself and they work great. Highly recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
