## Sciwheel Reviews
  ### 1. Best reference manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pere P. | Adjunct professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

I have been using Sciwheel (previously F1000Work) for 5-7 years, and it's the best reference manager I have tried. I started using it because it was the only ref manager for google docs. I don't know if it's still the case. It's easy to use, and the libraries are easy to manage. It's possible to share projects with students and collaborators. The tool has an option to highlight from an article, and it shows the progress in a log form, which it's handy to follow students' progress and to write article's introduction and discussion. Of course, it has all the elements of a good reference manager and provides citation formats from a comprehensive list of journals. Also, the customer service is highly efficient and very open to implementing recommendations from users.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

It's hard to find anything I dislike from Sciwheel because this piece of software has been handy, especially during the last two years, but I would improve the "notes" section

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sciwheel to write research articles and proposoals. Also, to keep track of new articles and store references into different projects that I share with students.

  ### 2. Best software for references

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelsey K. | Graduate Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

Sciwheel is intuitive and maximizes efficiency. My favorite tool is the find citation marks. When writing, you use {} with text inside, and you can go back at the end of a writing session to attach all the papers. This feature makes my life so easy. It has a database of every journal citation style. Your projects folders will also have reference suggestions to help fill in holes and keep your literature up to date. Changing citations from (author year) to Author (year) is so easy!

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

I wish I could set my own default citation styles so I never have to search for the journals I use.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

If you need support, this is the reference manager to use. They never use support bots! If you need easy and fast, this is the service. The price is also worth it to get the updates in technology so quickly or get your suggestions incorporated into the updates.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not only does sciwheel effectively store my notes from papers, but it helps me catalog those notes in a way I can access write from the word processor. This saves tons of time! I also have shared projects with collaborators and can store the working manuscript right in Sciwheel.

  ### 3. Great overall, but Office 365 version usability is lacking compared to previous desktop version

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

-Multiple platforms supported
-Easy to add resources
-Website is also user-friendly
-Many different citation styles
-Can add a reference to multiple projects/folders
-Very responsive support team; they've quickly made corrections when needed

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

-As of March 2022, not a good product for systematic reviews with its automatic deduping.
-It would be nice for the product to integrate with PowerPoint
-The Office 365 version of Sciwheel is not as user-friendly as the desktop version, which is no longer supported. Specifically, with the desktop version, I would select the preferred citation style before I started writing a document and the style would stay the same. Office 365 doesn't permit that, which is very irritating and distracting while I'm trying to write. I want to set the citation style when I START writing, not when I have FINISHED writing. The desktop version afforded both options but the Office 365 version only supports the latter.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, Sciwheel is a great product our university's faculty, staff, and students to manage and cite references. Several students have shared how much they love the product and wish they had found it earlier. The premium version is very affordable at the enterprise level.

  ### 4. Lifesaver for my PhD

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maarten H. | PhD-student, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

The software makes it easy to create an overview of all your papers. It is fast and reactive. In addition, the plug-ins work very well too. The cite manager in Word is much faster than the Mendeley plug-in was.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

- The price is quite steep.
- The recommendation engine often misses the point and overloads you with the wrong kind of suggestions.
- Sometimes, the references don't import well from the website, but importing through pdf works well enough.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

It's web-based only, so you'll need internet access to view your papers.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To organize my scientific literature into categories and keep up to date with the literature in all these categories.
To have easy access to references and proper formatting while writing scientific papers.

  ### 5. Great Publication Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

- Suggested Articles
- Private & Public projects
- Highlighting
- Chrome extension
- Integration with Google Doc

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

- Notes feature is pretty limited
- No keybindings in Google Chrome extensions for highlighting, etc.
- No automated tag suggestions
- Improved functionality for non-journal based resources, e.g., web pages
- Would be great to see some summary stats for one's library, e.g., how many articles saved this week, most active tags, #highlights, #notes
- Better integration with the feeds and the suggestions - I almost don't want to see the feeds so long as the suggestions are working.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having used both zotero, readcube and diigo, I have sampled the various citation management tools / web clippers. Sciwheel does a great job of allowing me to have a private account and share with those who don't have a paid account which is great when coordinating publications. The Google Doc plugin works better than the other plugins / tools that I have used. The article suggestions are fantastic.

  ### 6. Excellent for students, researchers, and clinicians!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

It is very easy to use; I use the Google Chrome plug-in almost daily. It helps me save papers quickly and organize my saved articles into folders that I can access later. The Google Doc extension is also wonderful and I have used it for many papers and reports. The Share function is perfect for teams working on projects and reports.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

This is a small comment but when I use SciWheel to cite papers, it will link out to SciWheel and not to the paper itself. I found this a little odd and for any collaborators that do not have SciWheel, this means they would get an error message if they tried to open the citation.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SciWheel to organize and maintain publications related to rare disorder cases. SciWheel has been instrumental in helping me compose reports that are sent to treating physicians and include publications and evidence for a specific treatment so that we can convince a physician to consider the treatment for off-label use in their patient.

  ### 7. The referencing and document management tool that every academic should have

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Postdoctoral Fellow, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

It is a versatile, fully online tool. This does not cause problems with the synchronization of documents and notes as in other applications (Zotero, Mendeley). It was a headache for me to lose on several occasions my notes and references when I formatted or changed my computer. That never happens with Sciwheel. Besides, Sciwheel captures much better the metadata of articles and web pages. There is a minimum of manual adjustments that one has to make to the references. It has also been an excellent source of articles associated with my references. It also was an efficient word plugin.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

I do not have anything in mind. Of course, I would prefer to save some money annually, but getting the paid sources is definitively worth.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have not lost my notes or documents again. That is the main benefit. In addition, I am delighted with the accurate metadata capture that the tool has.

  ### 8. great tool for drafting papers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francesco M. | researcher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

For sure, the feature I like the most is the note-taking feature. You can read a paper (or a website) within your browser and write down notes or highlight text portions, both saved and kept in Sciwheel. When drafting your article, this gives you the chance to recover that infos from the reference quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

A LibreOffice plugin would be a great plus.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not physically write down my notes on papers/articles I read to write an essay.

  ### 9. Best reference manager

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giulia L. | Reseracher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

The reference manager works really well, and the customer service has always been very helpful when I had questions or issues. It is also useful to access papers from different devices.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

The downsize is that it is not cheap and I cannot really recommend it to my students (university does not reimburse for this program).

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits: a reference manager that unlike the others does not crash or have issues. Also a great way to store the literature.

  ### 10. Sciwheel: A Must Have for Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

I like that the time it takes to cite resources has decreased tremendously with using the program. I also appreciate that there are extensions for Google Docs and Microsoft Word to incorporate citations seamlessly into papers.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

At times, the program does not transfer information (author, date) from web pages. It provides automatic citations for articles from academic journals, and manual citations are usually not needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

Take the time to learn Sciwheel now, and you will save so much time in the future.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sciwheel to cite references for academic research projects. The most significant benefit is that it decreases the time it takes to add references to a paper.

  ### 11. Sciwheel is a top-notch citation manager for individuals and teams!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brianna B. | Research Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

Sciwheel integrates seamlessly across my devices. I use an Android phone, Ubuntu OS on my laptop, and Google Docs for team writing, and Sciwheel works with them all!

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

The free version has reduced functionality and features, though it's definitely still functional. Honestly, there are very few things I dislike about Sciwheel.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Writing academic manuscripts with colleagues is so much easier now, with Sciwheel plugins for Docs and Word. Each manuscript is tracked in its own Sciwheel project that everyone has access to.

  ### 12. Excellent reference manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul D. | Research Assistant Scientist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

It accurately inserts references in the correct format

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

Needs better integration with G Suite on chromebook. I cannot insert reference using my academic G Suite account from Chromebook on my personal google account

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to add summaries to projects has helped me with preparing reviews. I can have a outline for each paper and the project. This improves finding materials quickly

  ### 13. Here is a satisfied user

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Makoto M. | Assistant Project Scientist

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

I've been using F1000/Sciwheel for years to organize reference papers online and on manuscripts. These functions are available for free. I also like the team members are responsive and always kind. It's a very nice tool for research.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

Sometimes Schwheel-edited Word files behaved in strange ways and became unstable. I haven't experienced it for a while, but when one of my colleagues used it (upon my request) this problem happened.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a database of scientific papers and managing references in writing papers. The benefits are it is free but have decent functionalities. The design of the online page is nicely organized and clean.

  ### 14. Loss of word plugin functionality, feature and performance degradation

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wade S. | Assistant Professor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

Used to be great - but has progressively lost functionality over time. Sharing remains a decent experience, but otherwise has had almost no improvements since release. iPad/mobile experience has also not improved.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

Unclear why, but the overall experience has progressively gotten worse. The Word plugin has lost most of its search abilities, and unable to add new articles outside of PubMed (no DOI search, no arXiv search). Does not support arXiv citations or format by default requiring manual entry. The mobile/iPad app has similarly lost functionality, including basic OAuth login.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Citation management

  ### 15. Love this app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ritu J. | Scientist I, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

Sciwheel is a shared repository for articles. I can share my annotations with my colleagues, automatically remove duplicates, and generate bibliography.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

Only one level of subfolders making it difficult to organize articles. Also sometimes the citation information is not imported properly

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

literature review made easier, organizing references made easier

  ### 16. great product overall

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven Michael C. | Technical Writer, Speaker on topics of ethics and technology, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

Integration with google docs; unlimited size of library; easy sharing. Support is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

A little buggy here and there, but support chat is wonderful and very supportive. Sometimes the browser extension won't correctly identify the article and it needs to be added through a slightly more involved process. Over the years it has improved considerably.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of my library

  ### 17. Sciwheel one of the best reference manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dezső M. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

You can annotate papers without downloading them. Many people can annotate the papers, and it has a Google docs integration. Compared to Mendeley and Zotero it has better integration of teamwork.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

The android app is clunky and the search bar for papers is not at the most visible place. You cannot read papers on the plane/train without internet.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We worked on many papers using Sciwheel. It goes relatively easily if everyone puts the papers into the shared repositories. The translation between Google docs to word fields works most of the time.

  ### 18. Great app for sorting out citations for academic projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** D S. | PhD student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

Ability to quickly change between the citing styles and browser add-in which adds papers to the library with one click

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

It may be difficult to share the document with other people with no sciwheel, better re-paste all the citations as plain text.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use it as a word add-in to insert the citations into academic papers, research proposals etc. Second use is to search for information in the saved papers, which can easily be done inside the sciwheel web page, ability to annotate papers with different color codes is a big bonus

  ### 19. Sciwheel is the best reference manager I ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Betina C. | Dr in Biochemistry

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

It is easy to use. Allows to store in an ordered way lots of literature and save computer space. You can work on these files and order your literature for publishing using comprehensive methods. The online service is fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

I didn't find anything that I dislike, yet.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have stored hundreds of papers in an ordered and easy to retrieve way, which doesn't occupy space in my computer.
I can share my work on the papers with other colleagues

**Reviewed by:** Peter V. | Professor of medicine, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

Ease of use both of the web tools for reference important and managing and of the plug-in for citations in manuscripts and bibliography generation. Chris's availability in case of problems or questions is another big plus. And the software has been getting better all the time.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

Nothing much. Browser plug-in got lost a few times and had to be reinstalled.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a bibliography for manuscript writing, and actual manuscrit rirting.

  ### 21. Sciwheel: a great reveal in my scientific life!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

WOuld like to drag-drop pdf directly from email

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing the PDF files of scientific articles. I quit Papers 3 and could not update to paper cube (it would NOT import my database. I have been looking for a PDF managing option for many years that was easy to use, easy interface, simple yet powerful

  ### 22. Excellent Reference Software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

I have found it very easy to use Sciwheel to organize my references, review and mark up articles, tag under different themes, and create bibliographies for papers and publications. This despite the fact that I had not been managing references myself for the past many years--it was very easy and intuitive to get into this rhythm!

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

Nothing! It really works very well, and I have had no issues.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My co-authors and I have been able to connect very easily in managing and reviewing references, and sharing our comments and mark-ups while at the same time keeping our own private markings and organization when needed.

I use Sciwheel directly in Word thanks to the addin. It is very easy to insert references using PMID or the search function. I also save my library of articles on the platform and recovering articles from the site is easy and useful. I previously used EndNote for years and am not going back.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

There is really nothing to dislike. Maybe only to have to enter login/pw too often.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SchiWheel in Word for all my bibliography needs.

  ### 37. Best solution for collaborating in writing scientific manuscripts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miftahul I. | Assistant Professor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

Sciwheel enable me to sharing a reference list to my authors. Moreover, Sciwheel can be used with Google Docs, which increase its usefulness in collaborative works.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

The limitation of Project that can be made in free plan.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

They should try it and combine it with Google Docs, it will becomes a powerful tool for collaborative work.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping the reference list of a joint-written paper valid. I often write my paper with my master students, and we did use reference manager but it cannot synchronize between my account and my students. Hence, I had to check the reference of the paper one by one which takes time. The problem is solved when I introduce Sciwheel to my research group, my students now just add me in their Project and I can see what kind of references they used.

  ### 38. F1000 Workspace is a LIFESAVER!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle S. | Faculty Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

As a Director of Research, Professor, and Ph.D. student, I need all the help organizing and storing research papers I can get. F1000 Workspace is a LIFESAVER because I can quickly and easily save and organize my references for any size project.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

The biggest problem I run into is needing to correct references. I understand that in many cases, the errors are due to the title (i.e., using capitalization in the title when it can't be used in an APA reference), but an automatic correction program would be awesome!

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

There are many other popular and more expensive options out there. I've used them all, and none are as intuitive and user-friendly as F1000 Workspace

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing research and references. F1000 Workspace provides the opportunity to quickly pull up notes and review abstracts

  ### 39. Very easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diogo M. | Research Biologist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

F1000 Workspace is intuitive. There are many options to import your references and F1000 does a great job in formatting them. It is very easy to organize your library and add references to your document using the Microsoft Word plugin.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

The Microsoft Word Plugin is VERY slow. If you have more than 60 references in your document, adding a reference can take more than a minute or two.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

F1000 does a splendid job in importing and organizing your references from many different sources.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My references come from different sources (PDFs, PMIDs, DOIs, XMLs etc.), and F1000 Worspace was capable of importing and sorting all of them very quickly.

  ### 40. Great tool for writing scientific articles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mary Miu W. | Research Professor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

F1000 is a wonderful tool for bioscientists. It allows you to keep all your references at your fingertips so that you can cite them in your publications and grant proposals. It can also recommend important articles upon typing in some keywords. I use it often and also recommend my students to use it.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

The downside is that not every collaborator use this tool, And if they use a different reference manager, going between different co-authors and editing an article with different reference managers could be a bit messy.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

try this out and I think you'll like it

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have written many papers, grant proposals with F1000 workspace's help. The benefits are that they are consistent in archiving of my references and easy to change reference formates when I need to re-do my manuscripts with different citation formats.

  ### 41. Good reference manager with built in basic annotation tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yudhishtar B. | Graduate Research Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

The best aspect of being part of f1000 is the user recommendations and synopsis of papers that can be relevant to your field. It’s more than a recommendation algorithm like mendeley but actually has very useful insight provided by faculty and researchers.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

the shape annotation tools are a bit basic and annoying to use when you need to constantly resize them. I would rather be able to draw a box or circle around an important note. Same for text notes it needs work.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

Cloud based free reference manager that has brilliant recommendations from scientists across the globe as opposed to just an algorithm for related research

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it as a repository for my literature review and I’ve already imported everything from mendeley. The main benefit is the recommendations that other scientists provide over just a machine based algorithm for related papers.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily collaborate with colleagues on research projects. I also like the feature that creates citations from the references uploaded.

  ### 43. Efficient, practical, and modern tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thilakshan Peter S. | Mentor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

It makes referencing so much easier. It is possible to organise references into projects, and with the word-plugin and many options for citation styles everything has become easier.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

When writing in word, and you have chosen a citation from a certain project, the plugin does not automatically know that you want the references from that project the next time you need a citation.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I save a lot of time, but can still accurately insert my citations and references.

  ### 44. F1000 platform for references

  ### 46. Valuable clinical library and search tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

F1000 regularly suggests articles similar to those in your library. Their recommendations are often spot on. Chrome extension works really well. Creates a uniformed naming convention for articles. Allows for easy, efficient searches. You can add appendices and tag articles. F1000 allows for organization into projects, and allows you to invite certain people to those projects. You can also create a personal reading list.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

Importing or adding articles from a purely PDF form isn't as seamless as the web browser extension.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

Great clinical publication search and organization tool. We're experiencing efficiency gains over our old shared folder system. You can create project based folders/libraries and share them across an organization. Fairly straight forward and simple to use. Related F1000 prime can be used as a primary search tool. I prefer it over Google Scholar. Looks like there is a google docs and MS Word add in though I haven't used.

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creation of a consolidated clinical article library for our medical device company. F1000 creates an easily searchable, organized library and helps us keep on top of new relevant articles.

**Reviewed by:** Sally PW W. | Graduate Assistant, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

The design is appealing and looks like a publisher webpage, or like Academia.com. The number of app plug-ins all facilitate reference management. References were easy to import.

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

I think the hardest part is just transitioning from Mendeley and getting used to working online.

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

Set up a good tagging system to stay organized!

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a nice way to work with references online and on an app, which Mendeley does not do well.

  ### 48. great for collaboration and easy citation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Sciwheel?**

easy to grab sources from online journals right into database

**What do you dislike about Sciwheel?**

sorting the list of references not always helpful

**Recommendations to others considering Sciwheel:**

It is great for large and small groups working on projects

**What problems is Sciwheel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

being able to share and collaborate through journal sources allows for a more seamless use
