## About SciTE
SciTE is a SCIntilla based Text Editor. Originally built to demonstrate Scintilla, it has grown to be a generally useful editor with facilities for building and running programs. It is best used for jobs with simple configurations - I use it for building test and demonstration programs as well as SciTE and Scintilla, themselves.

## SciTE Reviews
  ### 1. A Noncustomizable Code Editor

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about SciTE?**

SciTE is a code editing tool thats not beneficial for developers seeking a free option. The interface appears outdated and needs to benefit from some updates it bothers me personally. The search feature is sometimes inconvenient especially when working with folders as it occasionally freezes the program and requires a restart.

**What do you dislike about SciTE?**

While SciTes simplicity is seen as a disadvantage compared to editors with advanced capabilities it excels in providing a user friendly interface and features that simplify coding tasks. Some developers find its integrated features for JS programming activities to be resource intensive and potentially slow down their computers.

**What problems is SciTE solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lacks tools and features that are considered essential by certain developers. When it comes to customization for use cases other editors provide noncomprehensive options. I find SciTE to be a frustrating tool for developers. Its less user friendly interface and poor features have disturbed the productivity of our development projects, at our business.
