  ### 3. SciNote is very useful and I enjoy the capabilities it provides in collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2023

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

The most useful thing about SciNote is being able to organize experiments and quickly find them through the search tool.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

SciNote's constant updates for the interface can make it difficult to use because the orientation of buttons often changes, which is disorienting.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SciNote allows an entire lab to collaborate and see each other's work, as well as providing an archive to look back on.

  ### 4. Excellent ELN and inventory management solution for new academic laboratory

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Markus S. | Arbeitsgruppenleiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Compared to other ELNs tested when setting up my new laboratory, I especially like the apparent hierarchy in SciNote (project - experiment - task), the ability to generate a graphical representation of workflows, and the excellent search function. I further highly appreciate the frequent updates containing new features and the reaction to customer feedback.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

Initially, the number of features and possible solutions for a specific need seems overwhelming and requires some time to get used to. However, the webinars and fast support by the customer service are a great help.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SciNote provides a central place to store notes, protocols, results and different inventories. Keywords can be added, and all items can be linked. Timestamps are added automatically. Thus, the documentation of experiments and reproducibility is significantly enhanced compared to conventional paper lab notebooks.

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Thank you, Markus, for your review! We are glad you noticed we reflect customer feedback directly in our product improvement. The project - experiment - task structure and the workflow are quite different from how paper notebooks or other digital notebooks are organized. Happy to hear that you find these features helpful for you in managing your data!

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Quick and EAsy efficient web based interface. No long log in time or data upload times, type and cut and paste a go. Keep up the good work.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

There are so many subfields. Subfield after subfield to get to experimental content. Maybe this will be more tolerable when our content library grows but right now it seems a little cumbersome.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

documenting experimental data. Simple function but needs to be compliant with GDP and potentially GMP

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello! Thank you for sharing your SciNote experience! The reason for the granularity of data fields is to ensure we can capture a high level of details; this can then support integration needs (e.g., properly communicating data fields between platforms) or even things like providing better search functionality. We do understand it can seem cumbersome - which is why we are working on several UI/UX improvements at the moment to help simplify this process. More on this will come soon.

Please do feel free to suggest areas for improvements such as this to your dedicated CS Manager, who will make sure to note this to the Product team so to help them with identify areas we need to work on in the future. Features and improvements are heavily guided by our customers' experience - we take your suggestions to heart.

Thank you again for choosing SciNote!

  ### 19. Easy to use electronic lab notebook

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessio V. | In vitro pharmacology expert, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

I really liked how easy to use and organized Scinote is. The function that allows you to categorize the molecules and cells tested in an assay is really useful to then search quickly the data you are interested in. The possibility to attach excel files and power point presentations make really easy to show summaries of the experiments.
Another function I liked is the search function for specific molecules, which allows to simply copy and paste the molecules tested in an assay and find them all in the list in Scinote, saving a lot of time compared to ELNs that I used in previous jobs.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

The search function could be more precise, maybe to allow searches with defined filters. When you have a lot of data in the ELN for the same molecule it takes a little bit of time to find the exact assay or info you were searching for.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Categorize different assays in the respective projects and allow us to be compliant with regulations. This will be extremely useful once we will start the process of IND submission for some of our projects. It also helps to list all of our molecules in an organized manner, without having to rely solely on Excel spreadsheets, which can cause problems and are not a proper way of categorize candidates.

  ### 20. Scinote -convenient tool for documenting lab work

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

It would be great if it can iclude literature search options.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Day to day documenttaion of lab work . Docuemnt sharing made easy. People working on same project can do their updates in real time and it is traceable too

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello - thank you for your feedback! We would love to improve our service and product further; do feel free to let your CS Manager know how we can help. I will also be passing on your feedback about literature search to our Product team for consideration.

> Thank you for your review - I am glad that SciNote has made the patenting process easier! Also want to mention that I shared your suggestion re: integration with project management programs with our Product team.

Thank you for choosing SciNote!

  ### 22. Having an online lab notebook makes searching for things and working from home much easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

The search features make it easier to find old data

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

The inability to edit protocols makes it harder to track changes, since we are adding notes every time we make changes

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to have old data and protocols in one place is much easier.

  ### 23. SciNote is a helpful ELN with a clear and adaptive structure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

I like the clear and hierarchical structure of SciNote. It allows me to organise my project and experiments in a way that is intuitive to me. The structure can also be adapted to fit different kinds of information (lab work, sketch/visualise workflows, organise ideas). I enjoy using SciNote for my daily work.
Since writing this review, a couple of improvements have addressed issues with the user interface I reported earlier. I am happy that the user interface works much more smoothly now. Also, exporting protocols as PDFs is very easy now.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

The experiment section of SciNote is something I enjoy. You can drag and drop tasks to a desktop space, move them around freely and connect them to workflows. Previously, I found navigating this desktop space a little cumbersome, but I am pleased these issues were addressed, and the handling is much improved! I like locating a task by clicking on a location icon in the taskbar on the left of the desktop pane. As it stands, the task in this taskbar are ordered alphabetically, which is a helpful setting. I think it would be a great addition if they could be ordered according to how they are connected as workflows on the desktop pane. Several separate workflows could be sorted by the first task in a workflow.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual lab notebooks do have some significant downsides: They can only be accessed from one place, repetitive protocols are annoying to document, workflows over multiple days and steps are difficult to document, sharing of experiments/protocols is limited
SciNote overcomes these limitations and adds features that help to document and structure my work.

**Official Response from Maša Petan:**

> Hello! We are happy to know you like the project/experiment/task structure in SciNote. It's something that's rather unique with SciNote, and really gives it the flexibility that labs need depending on their uses.

I will make sure to pass on your feedback to the team. Comments like this really help us understand how users interact with SciNote - so thank you! Do feel free to mention this to your CS rep, as often we can come up with ways to help improve the experience.

Thank you again for your feedback!

  ### 24. Common Electronic notebook, takes a while to figure out its full potential

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2023

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Scinote is easy to enter data and steps for a procedure.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

Scinote will have some issues with saving, when I enter some data SciNotge will not save properly and erase my data I have entered

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SciNote gives us the ability to share lab notes quickly and conviently.

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello! We are sorry to hear that you had some issues with saving data. That's definitely not a typical SciNote experience, as data saving should be mostly automatic, and we have implemented time-out reminders and draft recovery to ensure users don't lose data. Please consider reaching out to your Customer Success manager to see if there are ways we can assist you to resolve this.

We are glad to hear you think SciNote is easy to use, though! It does have a flexible projects/experiments/tasks structure, plus a visualized workflow canvas that's not often found in other ELNs. Thank you for taking the time to explore SciNote's potential.

We hope that we will be able to improve your SciNote experience in the future. Again, please don't hesitate to let us know how we can help resolve the issue.

All of the functionality I need that includes a number of common business software integrations and some more specialized, eg. SnapGene.
And an organizational structure that is not limiting. I can organize my experiments in any manner I want. I am able to plan out entire programs down to individual experiments in a way that helps me visualized the workflow and time lines all within the ELN.
I can then assign each experiment to my team and check progress in real time.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

I dont have anything I dislike. I have thoughts on what I would like to add but nothing I dislike about it.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again I am able to design projects and visualize down to the individual experiment level, assign team members, and monitor progress, adapt my time lines to fit real time updates all from my ELN.

I dont need to talk to anyone. I can just open the ELN, see how things are progressing, ping anyone that has either not completed a task or request the update their ELN to reflect a completed task.

I enjoy talking to my team but I dont need to and if I am up at 3am going over data for a presentation, if it has been entered into the ELN I am able to download it, modify it to fit my needs.

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Good Audit trail and activities Log. These improve the integrity of laboratory and personnel, creating a good reputation for the laboratory and increasing its customers.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

The report format lacks flexibility. Different Laboratories have different report formats, which they wish to continue with. Instead, I recommend being programmed a bit to allow users to use their report formats for their reporting.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using SciNote for Pharmaceutical Quality Control processes.
The transition from paper to paperless.
It Improves collaboration which saves time and resources.
We also use Scinote as an Inventory Tool which helps us keep track of our Inventory.
Enabling easy navigation through searching items facilitates easy findability.

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello Aggrey. Thank you for sharing this use case! Definitely understand how teams would like to have some more flexibility re: report formats. This is great to know, and I will be sharing this comment to our product team.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhawna G. | Scientist II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Managing experiments, workflow and keeping updates on my protocols. I appreciate we are able to add notes and copy templates from previous experiments without any difficulty.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

Finding the experiment or project is still messy and could be improved further. Also, while trying to go one step back from an experiment it take you out of the project and we need to find the particular experiment again.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving documentation problems for me. My results, analysis, protocols and literature is available in one place and can be shared easily. It also helps me keep track of the updates on various projects and experiments I have to work on everyday.

  ### 31. user friendly notebook for scientific documentation.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** anup s. | Principal Scientist II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Its user-friendly nature makes it more useful for me. I can document all my protocols, materials and methods, results, observations, images and ppt files in one place in a neat, organized manner.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

I didn't see any shortcomings yet. But there is a place for further improvement.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major problem SciNote is helping me with is all the experimental material collection in one place. Earlier my experimental protocol, results, material and methods used to be scattered over areas like on a laptop or in a paper notebook. Now I can trace back all my experimental data in one go with the help of SciNote

  ### 32. Probably the best ELN

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2023

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

I've tried a large number of ELNs, and, at the moment, SciNote is the best. It is regularly updated, has a versatile workflow approach, and is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

No major downsides. I would prefer to have better integration with protocols.io - the reformatting means that some of the nice features of protocols.io are lost.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data management, QC, shared protocols and workflows.

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello Daniel. Thank you for your feedback! I followed up with our product team on this. This is something that we are actively working on to see how we can bridge certain features/formatting that currently exist only in protocols.io into the SciNote structure. You will definitely hear more from us about this in the future via one of the feature updates - our goal is to help users take the most advantage out of this integration.

Thanks again for this comment! And I am glad you like our workflow approach!

  ### 33. ELN suitable for startups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christoph H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Great functionality that includes searchable data structure, protocol repository, and inventory; Easy to use interface for administration of projects and user roles; Meets FDA’s 21 CFR part 11 requirements

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

Data inserted into tasks in the form of documents (e.g. PDF or Word) is not displayed in full readable form when exported into reports. This limits usefulness and portability of reports feature.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data record keeping in 21 CFR part 11 compliant fashion, inventory tracking

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello Christoph. Thanks for sharing your feedback about document export into reports! I checked with our team, and we would like to follow up with you on this to learn where the attachments are included (in the results? Or in other parts of the tasks?), and get details regarding "not displayed in full readable form." Please reach out to your CSM to let them know about this feedback - your CSM will look to see if this is something we can help resolve, or we will log the details with our product team, so we can consider this for future improvements.

Thank you again for your feedback, and also for choosing SciNote to help you with 21 CFR Part 11 compliance!

  ### 34. A really extensible lab notebook.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kumar P. | Software Development Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2023

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

What I like best about SciNote is that its UI/UX is really streamlined which makes it easy to navigate and access or explore all the features.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

Though noting major but one thing that can be improved is bulk editing of inventory items.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SciNote does data manament, experimentation design/visualisation , quality check and reporting for us.

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello Kumar. Appreciate your review - we are glad you like the design! Our goal is to make it easy to use, which will then encourage people to use it regularly to document their work.

Also, thank you for your feedback regarding bulk editing. We made some progress recently in that direction, introducing the ability to edit multiple items (but I recognize it might not be the bulk option you mention here). Do feel free to check with your CSM to see if there are other options to help with bulk editing of inventory items. We also log the feedback from customers, so your input will be helpful when we review our roadmap.

Thank you again for using SciNote!

  ### 35. Been a great resources, hopeful to use it eventually within a team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

I love the project diagrams. They allow me to visualize how different parts interact.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

I wish I could mark down when an item is completed, sometimes I can't login and update SciNote right away.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking experiments

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello! Thank you for your feedback. I am happy to share that SciNote's new mobile app is now available - one of the features is that you can check off protocol steps and step checklists using your mobile device (phone/tablet) at the bench. Updates in the app will sync across SciNote as long as the device is connected to the internet.

It's currently in beta, so we would love to get your feedback after you give it a try. Hopefully, this will help you with checking off a completed item right away without having to get back to your computer.

Thanks again for using SciNote!

  ### 36. Its great, allows faster and efficient documentation. Overall, a positive experience so far.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

I like how it is divided into sections like inventories, project workflows and protocols. It gets easy to manage, and all team members can view the progress. Scinote team members are always available to help us when needed.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

I may be wrong about this or lack experience in using it, but there is no quicker way to check whether someone has finished signing a protocol after we request them.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows lab-wide communication. Experiments cannot be done alone. Scinote enables every team member to keep track of the projects and get feedback on improvising a step to get better and faster results.

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Thank you for sharing your SciNote experience!

Regarding checking whether someone has finished signing a protocol, I chatted with our team to see if they can offer some tips and tricks. They mentioned that if the task is marked "done" after signing, you can filter the task in the overview by selecting "done" to be visible. Also, our new table view in the experiment canvas could also make it easier to track the status.

Hopefully these help. At any time, do feel free to reach out to us!

  ### 37. Highly Customizable ELN Software for Everyone!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Chemicals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

The high level of customization, from creating templates for each task based on the type and organizing data within experiments and projects to the use of tags and hyperlinks to easily link information across the platform.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

It would be helpful to be able to go from a task to all the tasks that it's been hyperlinked in, thus further increasing the ability to trace data back to the start.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SciNote provides organization, secure data recording and management, flexibility in uploading data and creating templates for common process, and physical organization of the lab itself through the inventory system.

  ### 38. Feature Packed Digital Notebook

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas S. | Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

SciNote has a ton of features and organization methods that help with data archiving, project management, and inventory tracking. The best part for me is that end-of-the-year notebook reviews are much more streamlined than signing a million pages of individual paper notebooks.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

Parts of the UI can be improved/streamlined. For example, some activities like task management and other navigation tasks require way too many clicks. Some of these can be fixed with UI updates and shortcuts. Also, since there are so many organizational options, it can take a while to figure out what works best with your individual workflow and your company-wide organizational strategy.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a central location for all of our experiment protocols and data files to be stored together. This eliminates the need to write out file paths to network drives in paper notebooks that are often inaccurate or become outdated over time.

**Official Response from Maša Petan:**

> Thank you for your feedback Nicholas! Improving our UI to eliminate redundant clicks is something we are working on at the moment, so hopefully more on this soon. We have heard from other users on the need to figure out the workflow because SciNote is designed to be project-based - it is also how SciNote is able to help streamline a lot of processes.

It's good to hear that SciNote is making your annual notebook reviews much easier! If you have any other feedback or comments for us, do feel free to let us know any time.

  ### 39. User friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adriana G. | Postdoctoral Fellow, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

It's very easy to use and self-explanatory. I like that you can search for anything you need, from inventory to projects to protocols, just by typing keywords. Also, I love that your entire work team can keep track of the notes you do and vice versa.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

I learned recently there is a feature to make a checklist inside "protocols", however, it would be better if there was an independent option to create a to-do list not associated only with protocols.

**Recommendations to others considering SciNote:**

It may take longer to type on the computer, and you will have to make a lot of clicks, but in the end, it's worth it compared to handwriting in a regular lab notebook. You can go back to your old protocols easily and keep track of your experiments.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm currently using SciNote to fulfill the objectives of a research proposal, all the experiments are listed separately under the main project, in that way, my work team and I can upload experimental results as soon as we have them, and we can keep track of what the others are doing.

**Official Response from Maša Petan:**

> Thank you Adriana for this review! We are glad you find SciNote user-friendly. Also appreciate your comment about the benefits you get compared to writing in the paper lab notebook. I will pass on your to-do list suggestion to our team. Thank you again for using SciNote!

  ### 40. Poorly designed User Interface, frustrating to use

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linnea S. | Research Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

To be honest, there don't seem to be any advantages of SciNote compared to other ELNs, or even compared to recording lab work via a paper notebook. It does not allow for much customization, and the general setup is well designed. So you can't change the default, but it doesn't work as needed.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

The user interface has a terrible design, if you try to work off of what feels intuitive on the site, you end up doing the wrong thing and accidentally canceling the upload of work. Assigning permissions to projects and documents is a headache, and it constantly times out without telling you, so you'll be working on something, go to save it and find out that it didn't save because you need to log in.

**Recommendations to others considering SciNote:**

Use any other ELN available instead of SciNote.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are constantly running into the issue of people not having access to projects, but only a select few are able to assign people to projects. I would say SciNote has decreased productivity and performance, as we now have to create reports that don't work well for the science we are doing, but are compatible with SciNote. It also takes way too much time to train new people on SciNote, so that has been another drop in productivity.

**Official Response from Maša Petan:**

> Hello Linnea,

Thank you so much for your feedback - we are sorry to hear you didn’t have a great experience with SciNote. I chatted with our Customer Success Team, and they will be reaching out to learn more about your case and see what improvements we can make. We are always learning from our customers - do feel free to share any additional comments you have with the team when they get in touch.

  ### 41. Well-organized ELN

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandria C. | Research Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Overall, the SciNote makes it easy to keep your experiments organized. Linking reagents and other inventory items to tasks makes it easy to see how much an item has been used as well as being necessary to see which lots were used when writing reports later. I also like the experimental workflow flowchart layout, which is very visually pleasing. We also make frequent use of the folders function, as it allows our lab to group projects and keep the main projects page uncluttered.

Being able to write one protocol template and import that for use in multiple tasks is a great way to save time. Similarly, being able to duplicate workflows is helpful.

I appreciate that you can assign more than one person to a task, as this is something we've run into issues with on other platforms.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

Needing to export and re-upload protocols between teams is tedious. It would be helpful if you could designate a protocol as shareable across different teams, similar to what you can do with inventories.

While the flowchart layout is great for experiments, the sidebar showing a list of tasks is confusingly laid out, since the tasks are in alphabetical, rather than chronological order.

When you hit the 'Back' arrow from an experiment that is located within a project folder, it takes you all the way back to the main projects page (containing all project folders), rather than the page with other projects within the project folder. It's a small thing, but it is annoying to have to navigate back and forth.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking lot numbers for reagents has been a lot easier since we directly link items in an inventory to experiments. We've also been able to keep track of supply levels more easily and reorder critical reagents sooner.

  ### 42. User-friendly ELN, Great for small research labs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan O. | Program Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Very intuitive electronic lab notebook for tracking experiments, SOP, and reagent tracking. SciNote team consistently puts out updates and improves on the platform, they have been very receptive to working with my lab to ensure we are getting the most we can out of the product.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

One thing my lab has noticed is that between various teams the protocols do not transfer automatically, it is possible to export the protocol from one team and then import it to another but it would be preferable to have them auto-migrate between teams. This said it isn't a big deal to do it the current way and depending on how many teams you have it could become time-consuming.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Lab recently switched to SciNote from a competitor's product and it has increased the level of organization possible in our ELN as our company grows in size. There are many formats in which you can input experimental procedures and data, and the various levels of distinction within the teams allow for ease of sorting and retrieval of old experiments.

  ### 43. Scinote organizes your scientific workflow to enhance productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filip G. | Visiting Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

The most helpful thing about Sci-Note is the ability to easily add new findings or updates to your protocol. Instead of keeping a chronological record, I can collect all my findings connected with one type of assay/idea in one place. I also save the scripts/commands I use for future reference.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

Sometimes I wish I had more options to edit Inventory in bulk, for example you want to change the location or description of multiple plasmids at once and you have to go one by one. I wish there were more options to add different types of graphs from Graphpad or easier table creation.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can finally have a reliable backup of all my scientific findings organized into a logical structure. I can find my past entries quite quickly. I can collaborate with others on multiple projects.

**Official Response from Theresa Liao:**

> Hello Filip. Want to let you know that our latest release will allow you to edit multiple inventories at once. Thanks for your suggestion - and the wonderful review you share on G2!

  ### 44. SciNote has helped our team massively improve collaboration and record management.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

  ### 45. Easy to use and increases productivity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Azriel D. | Research Associate II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

I like the ease of inputting data and the organization that SciNote offers. There are plenty of features that make my lab note-taking more time-efficient. I also like how easy it is to generate a report at the click of a button.

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

There are a few quality-of-life features that I wish I would see in SciNote. First, I wish that there was one protocol bank that could be shared with all teams instead of importing a protocol from one team and then exporting that same protocol to another team. I also wish there was a way to delineate between protocols and buffer recipes.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The lab I'm a part of is moving towards a more regulated environment. SciNote is making that transition easier. SciNote also helps with productivity and makes past notes/data easier to find whenever needed.

  ### 46. Great experience! Easy to learn and maintain

Easier Access, Simple but Better features

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

The time it remains, sometimes logging out while working

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's online and also free, paperless, and at no cost at all. I love it!

  ### 50. SciNote is the future of lab notebooks and collaborative experimental design!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2022

**What do you like best about SciNote?**

Using SciNote has helped me stay on top of my notes and experiments and allowed me to collaborate with fellow lab members on different projects and experiments using a single app!

**What do you dislike about SciNote?**

The only downside of using SciNote is that you are not able to change the "start" date of experiments/projects. This becomes a problem when writing notes on previous experiments that were done prior to transferring over to SciNote.

**What problems is SciNote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SciNote has helped me keep all of my experimental notes organized. This not only helps me but will also benefit future lab members who may join the lab in upcoming years.
