Recommendations to others considering scikit-image: if you know opencv and matplotlib and want to perform any kind vision analytics than this api is the best choice ,although it's hard to learn but at he end of the day it really simplifies your work!! Variety of algorithms to work with both images and videos, loaded images can be used in OpenCV which is super fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about scikit-image? Documentation is somewhat lacking details for most algorithms. Also in most cases, you have to be familiar with image processing techniques and know what you are doing as there is no description.
