## ScienceLogic AI Platform Reviews
  ### 1. Cuts Through Alert Noise, Gets Us to Root Cause Faster

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uday T. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

Honestly, the biggest thing for me is not having to bounce between five different monitoring tabs anymore. Everything — discovery, dashboards, alerts — lives in one place, and once we set up our views the way we wanted, finding what's actually wrong takes way less digging. The UI itself is clean enough that new team members pick it up without much hand-holding.

The AI-driven alert correlation is what really sold me though. Before, a single outage would blow up our alert channel with dozens of separate pings for what turned out to be one root cause. Now it groups that stuff together, so we're not chasing symptoms — we go straight to the thing that actually broke.

Setup with our existing tools (ITSM + cloud monitoring integrations) wasn't painless, but it wasn't a nightmare either — support stayed with us until integrations were actually working, not just "technically connected." And even as we've added more devices over time, performance hasn't gotten sluggish, which I was honestly worried about going in.

Cost-wise, I can't give exact numbers, but the hours we're not spending on manual triage add up fast, and that's the real ROI for us.

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

The learning curve is real, especially for anyone who isn't already familiar with AIOps platforms. It took our team a few weeks to feel comfortable customizing dashboards and tuning the correlation rules — a lot of the power is there, but it's not always obvious how to get to it without digging through documentation or asking support directly.

Initial setup and integration configuration took longer than I expected, particularly getting some of our less common tools talking to it cleanly. It's not plug-and-play if your stack has anything non-standard.

Pricing also isn't the most transparent upfront — we had to go back and forth a bit to understand what was included at our tier versus what would cost extra as we scaled up devices/services.

Reporting is solid but occasionally rigid — customizing certain report formats to match exactly what leadership wanted took some workarounds rather than being a quick native option.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem it's solving for us is alert fatigue and slow root-cause identification. Before, when something broke, we'd get flooded with alerts from every downstream system that was affected, and figuring out what actually started the chain took way longer than it should have — usually a mix of Slack threads, manual log digging, and guesswork.

With the correlation and AI-driven analysis, we're spending a lot less time in that "what's actually wrong" phase and more time just fixing it. That's translated into faster incident response and fewer late-night escalations for on-call folks, which matters more than people give it credit for.

It's also helped us consolidate visibility — instead of having separate teams each staring at their own siloed tool, everyone's looking at roughly the same picture, which cuts down on the "well it looks fine on my end" back-and-forth during incidents.

The business impact for us has mostly shown up as reduced downtime and less engineering time burned on triage instead of actual fixes — which, over months, adds up to real savings even if it's hard to put an exact dollar figure on it.

  ### 2. Pros and Cons of using ScienceLogic Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

There are plenty of new things that ScienceLogic AI platform:
The first is that it changes its naming convention to a more cleaner Skylar family like Skylar One, Skylar AI, Skylar Automation etc.
It helps us to automatically find the root causes of the issues that happens earlier & get the things sorted quickly & off course reduces the manual efforts.
Low code or No code environment is one of the best features that the Skylar offers as it helps us to create the Dynamic applications & Powerpacks on the platform based on our customer requirements without even having a lot of knowledge of Programming/coding languages.

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

Modifications & Customizations in the powerpacks, Dynamic applications still takes more time than expected. The process of Onboarding & decommissioning of devices could be improved further as it is still not as efficient as other platforms provide.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Out-of-box integration.
Auto classification of devices depending on the operation system.
Template bases monitoring.
Service impact analysis dashboards.
Gathers massive amounts of metrics which can be useful when troubleshooting
Very customizable and open to modification and low-code additions
Support of the product be experts is extremely efficient and professional

  ### 3. Unified Observability That Cuts Alert Noise and Speeds Root-Cause Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arunkumar C. | Senior infra developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

What I like most is its unified observability. Instead of using multiple tools, ScienceLogic gives us a single platform to monitor hybrid environments, correlate events, and understand service impact. The AI-driven insights and automation help reduce alert noise, speed up root-cause analysis, and save operational effort

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

One area I'd like to see improved is bulk onboarding and management of virtual devices, especially for native monitoring. Creating them one by one is time-consuming in large environments. A streamlined bulk creation/import workflow would make deployment much more efficient.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScienceLogic helps us solve the challenge of monitoring a complex hybrid IT environment from a single platform. Instead of switching between multiple tools, we get centralized visibility, event correlation, and faster root-cause analysis. This reduces alert fatigue, shortens incident resolution time, and helps us maintain better service availability

  ### 4. Fantastic tool for Network Monitoring.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pradnesh C. | Senior Network Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2022

**Describe the project or task ScienceLogic AI Platform helped with:**

Sciencelogic is deployed in various organizations. Clients like its features and it is quite stable compared to other tools.

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

We've been running ScienceLogic in our environment for about two years now, and honestly it's become something we'd have a hard time replacing. The thing that won us over early was how well it handles hybrid visibility — we have on-prem gear sitting alongside cloud workloads and a handful of legacy systems that other tools just couldn't make sense of. ScienceLogic pulls it all into one place without us having to build a bunch of custom connectors. The automation side has saved our team real hours — we set up workflows that used to require someone to manually babysit tickets, and now they just... run. It's not perfect. The initial setup has a learning curve that will humble you, and tuning alerts to cut down on noise took longer than we expected. But once it's dialed in, the ROI is hard to argue with. The AI features are genuinely useful rather than just a marketing checkbox — root cause analysis in plain language has made a noticeable difference in how fast our junior engineers can triage issues. If you have the patience to implement it properly, it pays off.

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

We've been on ScienceLogic for going on two years, and while we're not going anywhere, there are things that genuinely frustrate us on a regular basis. Getting new engineers up to speed on it is a project in itself — the learning curve isn't just steep, it's sustained. You don't just struggle the first month and then figure it out; there are layers of complexity that keep revealing themselves well into year two. The alert noise was a real operational headache for us early on, and while we've tuned it down considerably, it took way more effort than it should have. Documentation is another sore spot — when something breaks in an unusual way, the knowledge base often sends you in circles, and you end up on a support call for something you really should've been able to solve yourself. The reporting side has also been underwhelming given how rich the underlying data is; you'd expect stronger out-of-the-box reporting from a platform at this price point. To be clear, we still believe in the platform — the depth is there and the AI features are heading in the right direction. But ScienceLogic sometimes feels like it was built for people who already know ScienceLogic, and that's a gap they need to close.

**Recommendations to others considering ScienceLogic AI Platform:**

Go for it, one of the best tool available in the market.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Network end to end visibility, monitoring, threshold management, app monitoring etc.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** shahed w. | Team Leader Operations

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

I appreciate ScienceLogic AI Platform for its proactive monitoring and alerting, which helps reduce business impact by notifying issues prior to them becoming critical. I find it to be one of the best monitoring tools I’ve ever used, having relied on it for the past four years. The platform is quite flexible and customizable, allowing us to tweak dynamic applications based on our alerting needs. Its new AI platform is pretty cool, and the analytics feature is very good. I also value its capability for integration, making it a master in this area.

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

The noisy alerts are a bit of a pain. The collectors lose their cache and result in false positives. The FIFO system of other collectors taking over when there is an issue on an existing collector is a bit slow. That needs to be tweaked to address this.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2025

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

The ScienceLogic Platform is a very large, complex piece of Software, Like any platform it does have its Pros and cons.
It can monitor a wide variety of devices and has done our company very well for the last 5 years.
The platform can be moulded or manipulated to be very flexible with "Run Book" Automations, and you can get the platform to perform a Plethora of tasks, but you do need Python skills to be able to write snippets of code you require.
For normal device monitoring like Windows, Linux, Fortigate Devices etc... this patform does do a very good job of monitoring what is required and you can also add additional "Dynamic Apps" to monitor other metrics that can be pulled from said device.
All in all - ScienceLogic is a very customizable platform and I would say is one of the Top monitoring Solutions for Business use.
The platform can be easily used by NOC operators for daily use puposes, but can be quite complex for Admin use.
Customer Support is very good, I normally get a response from any issues i may have logged on the portal the very same day.

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

There are certain "Out of the Box" automations which are lacking, for example... there is currently no way to just ignore high CPU alerts during a specific period without putting the entire device into maintenance mode.
This has been requested a few times and has a good communtiy backing for being an "Out Of The Box" solution.
I am currently waiting on feedback from SL Engineering to get this implemented as this would be highly beneficial for Event reduction in our environment.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The amount of daily events being generated is reducing due to the "predictive" algorithms.

  ### 22. Using ScienceLogic SL1 Platform at Enterprise Scale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2020

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

The SL1 PowerPack model allows the loading of specific monitoring capability for specific technologies and yet still leverage standard UI and performance graphs. The open development model to support custom monitoring construction where the basic and extended platforms don't currently reach is a huge win for us.

The floor-to-ceiling organizational security model works great for managed service providers. It is slightly more cumbersome when dealing with enterprise scale organizations on a stack. (We hope to see a solution to this in coming releases.)

The willingness to work with a customer and ensure customer-success, not just vendor-success is important for us.

Case in point is our Enterprise Change Management problems where we have hundreds of organizations attempting to do schedule Change Requests (Maintenance Windows) across multiple stacks but also sometimes against the same Configuration Item (CI) at overlapping times. This was identified as a problem and fixed for devices and scheduled for full resolution in the next release.

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

As an enterprise use case customer, the limited / current model for allowing non-team any rights at all is a pain point. This is being addressed in a future release and we are engaged in beta testing to ensure it meets our needs.

ScienceLogic, as an organization, has two modes of thinking. (1) ScienceLogic SL1 Platform is the top of the data hierarchy; (2) Your CMDB can be populated by the ScienceLogic SL1 Platform.

This leads to thinking of your stack as "precious".

Our model, where ServiceNow / CMDB flows configuration data down to each of our 8 production ScienceLogic SL1 Platform stacks around the world allows us to think of each stack as "cattle". This allows our resiliency strategy to be clearer and less reliant on a single point of failure.

The pain point with the organizational model of thinking shows up in technical decisions where the stack is considered to be a singleton. This exhibits as "there can be only one" in various technical conversations. We're making it work, but we're having to put effort into maintaining our data hierarchy / model.

**Recommendations to others considering ScienceLogic AI Platform:**

At the Enterprise Use Case level, know what you need to accomplish, verify that you can do the integration, build your integrations where necessary as bolt-ons until you can build them in-platform. Consider keeping your CMDB superior to the ScienceLogic SL1 Platform so that you can scale horizontally (either by region or by customer or by organization). Request customer-consults from ScienceLogic.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to track new technology monitoring (which had been a demonstrated inability in our homegrown system).

Ability to keep up with teams that are racing to new technologies as they come to us and request monitoring support for those technologies.

A fundamental shift away from dashboard-only / observational outage reaction to event-based, runbook automation capable support (which does feed our central ops dashboards but which do far more than in the previous implementation).

We are now testing new capabilities in our global / regional monitoring that used to require homegrown / custom coding and had never reached a level of trust to even be considered in our legacy platform.

We are in very early stages evaluating the AIOps capabilities and looking at a +1y time horizon.

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

ScienceLogic SL1 Platform is really an ideal software for email, server, cpu monitoring. ScienceLogic SL1 Platform is an all in one platform to monitor every kind of technology. By using this so far I monitor tools, servers, networks cpu and many more. With the help of customisable interface things do not remain confusing and it offers simple and convenient ways to make dashboards. Their good customer service helped me a lot in learning phase because they are available 24/7. This single platform can replace a lot of monitoring tools. By using it, any glitch in the network becomes easy to detect and can be removed. It simplifies data network and network monitoring. After using it for time I realised that it improved my work speed for better and provided efficiency.

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

The main issue I have with ScienceLogic SL1 Platform is the price for its working and features the price is too high. The interface is overcrowded and was difficult to use at start. There are a lot of unnecessary options that need to be removed. The modules are also expensive and documentation is difficult to follow. The UI contains too many elements that are not needed. If some options are removed from the UI it will make the place look simplified. Overall it takes sometime to get adjusted to its design. The support team is also a bit slow in answering to questions.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScienceLogic SL1 Platform is an expensive software but due to its large number of advantages it is recommended. I have been using it for sometime and it works absolutely fine. Its pros outweigh the cons so I recommend everyone to try it out themselves.

  ### 24. Some amazing capabilities in the new SL1 architecture

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

Not only does it discover and monitoring 1000s of COTs devices, but it's very easy to build your own via SNMP/API/XML/Webhooks/Emails. The platform can also provide AIML to detect anomalous conditions, even using custom/proprietary metrics. (To name two of the big features)

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

Being a current customer, the new user interface will take some time to adjust to.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building new applications to monitor new platforms devices is very well documented, and the UI provides guides. Since most of our monitored systems are proprietary we had to build all the monitoring, for the most part, without needing programming skills. Using Python functions such as prior(), sum(), round() to name a few you can make complex alarm calculations to use multiple metrics in creating a more actionable and accurate alarm. We use this to see if devices are primary/secondary, or if there is a cluster of devices that have failed over. We have 1000s of events and only a few questions a week about there accuracy. We have reduced our alarm generation by more than half over an approximately 2 year period.

  ### 25. Infrastructure monitoring tool with modrate stability

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2020

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

The tool is created with lots of new aspects however,Quite easy to deploy with various approches available in market

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

It still need alot of time to be stable and mature. Tool itself is still in bug discovery mode. Documentation is avarage and support team is really slow.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides vast varities of agentless deployment for monitoring the infrastructure. It is able to monitor almost every recognised technology in use.

  ### 26. The mother of all monitoring software.

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

Sciencelogic stole my heart with it's endless customization and alerts.

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

It was way too expensive to warrant keeping the software.

**Recommendations to others considering ScienceLogic AI Platform:**

Give it a serious shot and just don't look at the pricing until you've realized how amazing this piece of software can be.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using it to help us out with managed services work, remote alerts for a large client. We have recently switched to an inferior product and it made me realize how great this software really was.

  ### 27. Great tool from creating Dashboards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2018

**What do you like best about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

This tool can replace many monitoring tools in a company. Easy to create dashboards from scratch. Quick to deploy on AWS

**What do you dislike about ScienceLogic AI Platform?**

Too many Ui elements. Could get overwhelming at times. The interface is really busy and it's hard to remember where was a particular option that i used in past. Documentation is hard to follow and read on line.

**Recommendations to others considering ScienceLogic AI Platform:**

UI needs to be more consistent. Some of the button options could be removed which are used rarely. This will help the tool to look less crowded and simpler to use.

**What problems is ScienceLogic AI Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are monitoring servers and networks windows and linux with Science Logic. Any network blip or glitch becomes easier to be found and fixed. Using power packs options it becomes easy to leverage enhancements across multiple customers.
