It is so easy to assign HW for students and enter scores in school loop for various assignments and assessment tasks. The best part is that the parents can see it. I publish scores almost daily so parents can see how their child is performing as we go rather than finding out the final grades at the end of the grading period. So the minute they are given back the assessment task I graded, rather than looking at their assessment task and trying to learn what they did wrong and how they can improve, they go on school loop right away to see how it affected their overall grade. After I put my marking criteria and grades weightage on school loop, it calculates the grades based on the weightage I have entered for each type of assigned task. I enjoy that School loop is integrated with both the instructor, student, and parent. I am able to check my son's grades but also get feedback on how to help him achieve better results in the future. What problems is School Loop solving and how is that benefiting you? I am able to find out which subjects my son is struggling with and therefore help with or find a tutor for who can help him. School loop is not as intuitive for people who are less tech savvy. There's a bit of a learning curve. It's not hard to learn but certain tasks can be a more complicated to get the hang of. First, school loop allows parents, students, and teachers to communicate with each other easily. Next to each student's profile, there is a button for teacher to contact the parent of the student and other teachers that also have the same student. In addition, teacher can also see all the grades a student is earning. This helps teachers and parents to collaborate together to help a student to succeed in school. I don't like how there isn't a way to save or transfer the calendar and posting from a previous year. This would save me time from posting the same assignment from year after year. Speaking solely about the app, because I am rarely in front of a computer during my daily use; added functionality within the app would be nice.
