The scan engine is really fast. Capturing barcodes works under any conditions (lighting conditions, etc.) and even with partially damaged barcodes. Scandit uses a special method for focusing on the codes, which is why scanning works much faster than with comparable solutions. The integration of the SDK was really easy, we use the Capacitor SDK. The support from the Scandit Solutions Engineering Team is also really great, you receive assistance whenever needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Scandit Barcode Scanning? 1) It is not a real disadvantage, but you really have to think carefully about how to integrate the engine from a UX/UI perspective. The capturing is so fast that sometimes you can't "aim," and the engine scans the first available code. However, this can be easily solved by, for example, a "Scan" button in the camera view. 2) The technology comes at a price. In both apps, many barcodes from different manufacturers are scanned, so you don't always have control over the quality, size, type of paper, etc., of the codes. I absolutely love the various ways that a product can be scanned. Not only can you scar the traditional barcode, but you can scan 2D codes, QD codes, licenses, and longer custom barcodes with letters.
