The major downside of MDM in general from what I see, if that if you install software on a tablet that requires a configuration change or data input after the install, it makes it easy for a small issue to turn into a big one.

If I am removing a piece of software or do something incorrectly to a group or profile and need to put it back on, I can push the software to all the tablets but I can't push the config.
