"Great platform, great service, migration is lacking"

What do you like best about Scale Computing Platform?

It was easy to get installed and configured. The management interface is simple and fairly easy to figure out. Creating new virtual machines takes 3-4 clicks. Support is fast and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scale Computing Platform?

The Carbonite-based migration tool and licensing was not good. SC support relied on Carbonite for support and I was finding solutions to issues faster than they were. Our migration licenses expired because we spent so much time troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless VM Migration and Setup"

What do you like best about Scale Computing Platform?

I find it very easy to use the Scale Computing Platform. Running VMs is a breeze, and I don't have to worry about hardware repairs since they're covered under the contract. I also appreciate how simple it is to set up networking and VMs. The migration process was straightforward; I just downloaded the virtual drives from VMWare and uploaded them to Scale. I find the Scale Computing Platform amazing and easy to use. It's a plug and play platform that's incredibly straightforward for our support team to jump on and address any issues. "It just works, and it works well"

What do you like best about Scale Computing Platform?

I don't have to spend a bunch of time managing and configuring things. I can tweak it if I want, but mostly it just works without me having to worry about it. And the support has been fantastic. If some guys from Scale stopped by and asked me to go to Waffle House with them to throw down with guys from *redacted*, I would have their backs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scale Computing Platform?

Error conditions could provide a more detailed description. It's very rare that I get one, but the last time I did it was pretty vague. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scale Computing Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

I migrated from a different, well-known solution to Scale. I was surprised by how easy and simple things were in the Scale environment. I also enjoy that we are using less power with this hyperconverged system than the previous solution (which had caused some problems when it managed to overload the circuit). It also greatly simplified recovery from a recent ransomware attack. Restoring from a snapshot taken hours before the attack greatly sped up the recovery process, and the unspecified malware gang named after a famous Anime can get wrecked.
