## SC Training (Formerly EdApp) Reviews
  ### 1. Customer service plus and a great product too!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophie B. | Commercial Learning Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The customer service and response to requests for help or questions about how to do something are the best I have experienced. The product is fantastic and serves up small microlearning to embed key concepts in a team. the app is user friendly and easy to use

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I would prefer to have an actionable report to send a prompt to users who have not logged into a particular course. I think they are working on that!

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted something to complement the learning ecosystem that would enable us to embed business-critical concepts into our sales team and drive a mindset shift into the broader organization to be more agile and digitally literate. EdApp has enabled us to use micro-learning and increase our transfer of learning.

  ### 2. Great tool - great staff!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin F. | Rural Roving Benefits Adviser, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

It's so easy to set up an account and get started right away - and there's a fantastic library of ready-made courses and lessons. No point re-inventing the wheel...
The teams (both in the UK and US) are excellent working partners and are always quick to be on hand to discuss challenges, suggest solutions and explain difficulties. They really can't be faulted. I haven't managed to stump anyone for an answer yet - and often I've been offered two or three options to choose from - every day's a schoolday and a most enjoyable one.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I can lose hours 'playing' with the pre-existing courses - but I actually learn a great deal along the way, so it's not really a bad thing.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Don't wait! It's so easy to sign up and be ready to go within minutes. Whether re-branding or starting from scratch, it's a breeze to be all set in no time at all.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a challenge encouraging nd-users to engage with training. It's now so quick to design, create and distribute a course that I can't wait to get my next task and get onto it! Users are encouraged to return to the training - especially when they can win stars!
One user actually reported 'glitches' in a course specifically so that she could return and re-try the lessons to score more stars once it had been fixed...

  ### 3. Really great tool for onboarding and employee development through informational courses.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bobby P. | Instructor/Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Administrator dashboard. Easy to utilize an array of content from EdApp and upload your own custom content.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The selection of specialized content will only increase with more user engagement.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to share the link as part of my onboarding process and track completion as well as assess effectiveness through quizzes.

  ### 4. My interaction with this app has been very educative and I have learnt alot.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda B. | Admin/ Human Resource Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I was able to do my course conveniently with no interference and using this app is less data consuming. I was able to access other learning materials and aid through other websites.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I cannot say much about what I dislike because for me it is a very good app. However, I believe that more features can be added to it for it to be more user friendly.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes learning easy. It gives learners the opportunity not only to access notes but also videos which are very educative and can make students learn faster. Also, I have a able to access relevant cricket teachings.

  ### 5. Great for creating training courses!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Easy to understand interface, has all the basic features you'd want (besides the lessons and quizzes, self or manual registration, stats, leaderboards, reward system), easily organized, GREAT customer support! (always very helpful and quick to respond!)

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I have admittedly not used any other platforms for training courses, so I don't have anything to compare to, but it's been good so far!

These aren't things I dislike, so much as a wishlist for additions/changes:

- Ability to choose and/or allow for horizontal/landscape orientation layout of lessons.

- Question-specific stats for the lesson quizzes, i.e. which questions were answered correctly or not (though I'm glad it's available for the rapid refresh quizzes!)

- Sometimes the correct/wrong answer noise won't beep even though it's seemingly turned on. Also, not sure if this is an app issue or my device, but sometimes the sound comes out crackly.

- If there's a way to generate a signup link with the invite code attached (for web registration at least, I understand if it is not possible app registration)

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

If you're looking for a platform to teach/train others on ANY subject, EdApp is easy to use, affordable, and has multiple options to choose from you customize your courses and lessons!

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We really needed a training program for our staff, as we have very specific policies and procedures. In addition, we recently started onboarding more new staff and needed to ensure that all new hires received all the training materials--we previously would do on-the-job training but that was becoming less feasible. We also wanted to have our preexisting staff review the courses as well to ensure their knowledge of our store's standards was still accurate.

We had previously tried using Google forms for training quizzes, but having the EdApp platform has given us way more options and features with the different types of content and quiz formats, as well as more detailed stats.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2022

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Jessica was really helpful, enthusiastic and commited to give me as a potential customer all necessary information to make my decision.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Unfortunately the platform didn't fit all requirements; I prefer a seamless experience between offline and online training in a learning path.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Be sure which requirements you need and check if this fits your needs. Ask for Jessica V. for a demo.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 11. it is very easy to use and accessible to employees to take or complete training.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

that is accessible and that you can assign individualy users id for each employee

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

create groups for each department

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No excuses for employees to be available for employees to complete any training.

  ### 12. Innovative product, easy to use and great support for administrators

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate T. | Manager of Capacity Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The authoring tool is very easy to use and the automatic translation is very accurate. The best thing about EdApp however is how responsive the support team are and our account manager who always makes us feel like a priority.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I would like to work with EdApp on how we can make more features fully accessible for those with visual and hearing impairments.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

EdApp is so easy to use and the team were very supportive of our needs and context. The hardest part of the process is converting larger materials into the microlearning format, but once you get over that conceptual hurdle the platform is intuitive and very easy to use, saving us so much time on administration.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having content that is able to be downloaded and accessed offline and in multiple languages is a game changer for us and our users. Our scope is very diverse, our users are time poor and internet accessibility is unreliable, the format and access of EdApp goes a long way to address those learning barriers a more traditional LMS might have.

Honestly can't think of anything right now. Time consuming... but anything that pays dividends is!

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

I

Deconstructing the processes within the business and actually making them better as we go.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

A couple of the templates took a while to learn. So far, there is nothing else I dislike.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am meeting the internal training needs of my support staff teammates and beyond. Their solid knowledge that comes from this training will foster confidence in supporting our end users. The short bursts of learning and assessment have really helped keep my team engaged in their training.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to the mass and the ease of access.

  ### 20. I've already recommended EdApp to several colleagues. You need to have this in your learning toolkit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave H. | Instructional Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp is simple, comprehensive and turnkey. It is incredibly easy to create an account, gather content, customize, author and deploy in a matter of minutes. This is especially valuable to non-profits, small agencies and independents looking to create learning value with little effort.
Best of all is that EdApp is microlearning by design and mobile-ready out of the box. It will scale to infinity. If you are looking for LaaS that grows with you, you owe it to yourself and your stakeholders to know about EdApp. #training #learning #elearning #gamification #microlearning #blended #asynchronous #mobile #social #instructionaldesign #ISD #LMS

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I'm an army of one and I'm not too familiar with configuring APIs. You don't get dedicated account management unless you have an enterprise account. That's OK. I'm going to figure it out. It's all about learning. AND there's a course for that.
There are a few things I've had trouble figuring out from the UI and the Help center but I have been able to use live chat to get help from Support. In addition, the rep who demo'd the solution for me has been available by email and quick to respond.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am launching a Learning-as-aService consultancy and EdApp gives me access to content, delivery, authoring and analytics without the hefty buy-in and long contracts other LMS vendors use to keep you tethered.
Bottom Line. It's SIMPLE.
One of the main benefits I've realized is that I don't have to rely on big LMS companies and certain huge authoring tool companies to deliver the kind of learning I need. The EdApp authoring tool is not very sophisticated but it offers the right amount of interactivity, engagement and production quality that I can stand out among my competitors with little effort.

  ### 21. EdApp User Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin N. | ERP Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp is very easy to get up and running with and especially with the downloadable templates available. It already has some amazing features with more being added every few months. Support has also been fantastic from Emma and Jamie with no pressure whatsoever to upgrade my current package.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Not much to dislike, a couple of slide templates are a little more involved than others when creating but overall not much of a problem.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m currently involved with setting up a digital on boarding process and EdApp has provided me with the perfect solution for highlighting the products that we sell. I will also be adding further courses to cover company procedures and policies.

  ### 22. Focussed, efficient, friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael K. | Digital / Strategic Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

It focuses on a fantastic mobile experience for learning, and nails it. The admin is very easy to use, and navigate. Reporting is excellent!

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The API could be improved, they're still building it out.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

It isn't a fully featured LMS but it doesn't pretend to be. It's very good at what it does. We had tried more fully featured LMS in the past and realised a lot of it was just fluff we didn't use. This helps us deliver quality content, easily.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to provide new skills to staff across the Asia Pacific in multiple languages on mobile devices that weren't always connected to the Internet. Literally EdApp is one of the only companies able to do this.

  ### 23. Easy and Interactive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I like that the courses are made interactive. You can also customize courses.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I don't see a lot of negative things about the app.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Give it a try, and it will make your life easier.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have always had a problem with making the classes more engaging. EdApp made it easier for students to focus since the graphics are easy on the eyes and interactive activities.

  ### 24. Great Customer Service for HR presentations and more

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles L. | Product Operations Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp is great for HR onboarding! They have so many interactive features for their courses/lessons that I need to play around with. And even then, EdApp representative Chris Lemon was so helpful and spent an entire hour with me showing me the Content tools to increase engagement.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

There is a paid version that I haven't played around with yet, but that's expected.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't played around too much with all their content tools, so I'm not sure yet. I'm sure anyone who spends 2 hours could learn the EdApp platform extremely well. Especially with service representatives like Chris Lemon guiding you through!

  ### 25. Brilliant product and superlative account and technical service and support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fine Art | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The support staff are available and always happy to help. It's not a huge bloated beast, but a lean, "does what it says on the package" animal.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

You can't download or archive a course or lesson in anything but Scorm. Being able to save your work, even in just a basic way, in Xcel or Powerpoint format would be handy.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting a lot of interest from all parts of the organisation on how to implement training online.

  ### 26. EdApp is easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp is easy to use and deploy. It can be done on the run and the analytics provide great insight.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I am happy with EdApp and the support team so no dislikes at present

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

EdApp is easy to use and will transform the way you share educational content.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to replace face 2 face training during COVID. Additionally, it has removed the challenge of providing our product to remote locations. EdApp has provided the platform to reach remote locations and continue to sell our award-winning services and products without having to be physically in front of course participants. It's a good bolt-on to our existing services.

  ### 27. The most amazing learning platform and support team - EVER !

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The simplicity of authoring ensures that creating content is flexible, creative and tailor-made to suit the business. EdApp has allowed us to put resources in our people's hands, no matter where they are. Ease of access to information creates more time in their day to reach for the stars and empowers them to reach their full potential. Ed App has stimulated curiosity for our people to seek more learning and engage with others about the content. The people that I have engaged with at EdApp (Luke and Bryony) have been extremely helpful and made the experience of adopting EdApp for our business easy.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

A few hiccups with a couple of the content slides, particularly when using an Android.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User friendly, smart, great features, an application fit for the purpose intended, great user interface and interaction, very limited cost, time-wise very quick. You can use it as an individual or with group training and will be an added value to your learning procedures.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Presently I couldn’t identify something to dislike. Sure there are going to be, industry-wise, things which might need improvement or customizations which will be required but for the maritime industry we need more feedback from our clients. Any feature or automation which will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the app will be appreciated.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

We definitely recommend the EdApp for anyone who wishes to use it for training purposes either as a learner or as admin. It is one of the most friendly use app ever use. Summarizing I have to say that the support provided to me by the Edapp team was awesome. They will assist you in every step and will be there for you for any of your questions. Cost-wise there are no hidden costs and it is one of the economical app. Try it and you will not regret it!

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides us a new solution for maritime training which is easy to develop at a reasonable cost and very easy and quick to use.
We differentiate from the traditional training methods and most important we minimize the training time onboard but we focus on major issues and more frequently.

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp is really simple to use but yet is versatile enough to meet the needs of your projects. Our learning design agency has used EdApp on a number of projects, each with very different audiences and objectives, but we've been able to create really effective, high quality experiences in EdApp for all of them.

We've used it for rapid prototyping (it's perfect for that) as well as longer-term, larger programme development and it's always a blast to work in.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I know it's possible to export all of the slides in a given lesson along with their metadata, but I'd really find it useful to quickly and easily export just the slides as visuals so I can get a snapshot overview of the content.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Take time to explore the design / branding capabilities, as there's a lot you can do to really personalise it for your organisation.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've helped organisations solve problems in a number of spaces: business communication, sales training, marketing. The huge benefits we've realised come in how easy and quick it is to set up and create in EdApp for our clients.

  ### 39. EdApp is the future of education and training!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp is a very nimble platform. It allows us to create content quickly and respond to client needs in hours not days or weeks. The templatized authoring tool allows us to create engaging and effective lessons grounded in learning science. Their development team is continuously innovating to provide new features and options to better serve our client's needs. Their customer service is second to none.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

I don't really have anything negative to say about EdApp. More features around automating the admin activities would be nice but I am sure are coming in the future. Any issues that we have had have been minor and quickly addressed by EdApp.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We won't use any other platform. We have not had a single demo that didn't result in more interest from potential clients. We create beautiful courses in a short amount of time in a variety of industries including higher education, healthcare, life sciences, workforce development, etc. Ed App allows us to stay at the forefront of training and providing more options to meet the changing demands of today's learners.

  ### 40. Organic Learning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp gives you a wide variety of actions that you can take to give a great learning experience to your customers. Content development can already be engaging by using Canvas, uploading videos, using Jot form, using comparisons by content and by pictures, sliding and discovering new content. The test part is great. You can do it by using Surveys, multiple questions, creating assignments, contests and peer learning. We have found great the use of spaced repetition system to help your student memorise key content. Also there is room to reward students when they score high both as single person or as a group. Notifications works great as you can use them by person/group/course or just by choosing who you want to notificate. This is useful also if you need something to discuss something with your student without the need of using an integrated app such as Slack or similar.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

More than dislike i think there's room to make even more powerful. Though there is the possibility to integrate EdAPp with different application I think it would be great if it would be possible to use it even as a Habit Tracker that can also give you 'dashboards' of how you are doing on your habit. This could be used for remote coaching as well. One last thing, a lot of the success of the course depends on how welll you structure it more than Edapp in itself which alone works great already. I appreciate they make themself available to teach you how to do it even with their workshop.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an App that would integrate 4 areas: Tracking, Sending Learning Objects, Messaging and Reporting. We have been looking for something like this for almost 1 year and we have finally found it. We also are happy and appreciative they are open to work on improoving their system (for example, without requesting it they fixed the Jot Form integration).

  ### 41. Simple microlearning system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Herman K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Simple approaches for creating courses and lessons. For lessons creating is available a lot of different templates and you can find a template for any content type. The system has a lot of templates for engagement users and it helps to create not the same content. The system has the ability to use CSS to customize the style of lessons, also default styles are good. Available library with courses and you can upload any course to your account. High level of adaptation to devices with different sizes of the screen.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Nothing. But it would be good to have more flexible abilities for generating excel reports and creating notifications.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

1) Be ready to upload new content not less than 1 time per week - it helps to keep users
2) Make knowledge checks via EdApp - it creates attention to the learning process
3) Create several leaderboards
4) Mix learning content with engagement to create interest for users

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) Budget saving - no need to organize a lot of face-to-face sessions for Field Force team. They getting courses via EdApp and short introduction via online conference.
2) This helps to develop "digital DNA" in the Field Force team.
3) All of the new employees have the ability for learning right away.
4) 24/7 access and users have the ability to re-education if they need it.
5) Allows create a small competition atmosphere in the team

  ### 42. Credit Union Training and Development Application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

There is a lot to love about EdApp, but what I have enjoyed most as a new user is the support from the EdApp team. This support has come in many forms. First they provided me multiple on boarding sessions to help me become more acquainted with all the various functionalities within the platform, from creating, managing and publishing content to taking advantage of the various types of analytics. In addition to this, they offer a variety of webinars that review the features available through EdApp, offer best practices for Administrators and explore new releases. Last but surely not least, the support from my assigned Customer Success Manager has been unmatched throughout my introduction to this new platform. She provides great reference guides and is quick to respond to any inquiries I may have.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

At this point in my experience, there isn't much that I particularly dislike. However, if I had to suggest something it would be nice to have additional templates for creating content. More is always better.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Great platform if needing more efficient and creative ways to conduct training.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform has helped us to scale and develop our training approaches to better meet the challenges we face due to a trainee base that is disbursed over a larger geographic area. Additionally, as our organization has grown it has become increasingly difficult to host as many in-person training sessions. EdApp will allow us to more easily deploy training across the organization and give people the opportunity to take micro-lessons during their down time. This will ensure the staff encounters minimal interruptions in their day-to-day duties while still staying up-to-date on current developments and procedural changes. Finally, this platform keeps employees more engaged and breaks up the monotony associated with your classic classroom training structures.

  ### 43. Review of EdApp Authoring Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Fairly intuitive and straightforward to understand the essential functions of the authoring tool.Really good mix of slide types and ways to present, quiz, feedback etc. Takes very little time to grasp. Speedy outputs, clean slides and allows designers to be minimalist in creating content.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

No obvious dislikes. Slightly less functionality than mainstream tools like Adobe Captivate or Articulate 360 but it serves our needs entirely for what it is.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Definitely a powerful tool which will give your organisation an increased capability to reach out to more employees, more quickly with bite-size content. I can highly recommend based on using this for training items, policy updates and comms pieces. Of course the content from the designer needs to be good, but using EdApp to develop and deploy means a fast, effective and consistent means of reaching our employees - and one which they respond to positively in a busy working environment.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a large workload and meeting deadlines for outputs means I need to use something which is fast, effective and looks good. I have been able to pump out mini modules and short pieces which would have taken me longer and required more manipulation using different authoring tools.

  ### 45. Easy to Build

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

There are a lot of templates to choose from and if you think outside of the box, you could come up with a million different ways to use them to make learning more engaging.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

At first it's a little overwhelming--where to click and what to do first, but once you play with it it's good. I also struggle to find what I created already, but that's probably user error!

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Search their templates before you start developing so you can have an overview without having to get into the building area. It's much simpler.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am part of Design x Humanity and we are designing real-world projects advocating for equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism. I think one of the main benefits of using EdApp is the ability to create learning that will be quick, informative, and accessible to everyone.

  ### 46. Microlearning Genius

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

This product just keeps getting better. I love that they are constantly adding in new partners and offer great support. Great templates and design features. Very well thought out. Mobile first thinking makes a huge difference.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Nothing I can think of at the moment. I would like to see more help on the analytics side of the app.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to reach an audience of 18-30 year olds that would be excited to use their mobile phones for learning. EdApp allowed me to do this and it is versatile enough that it also works well on the Desktop, Laptop and Tablet.

  ### 47. The best e-Learning solution available!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The best thing about ed app in comparison to others is the easy to use interface in both creation and end user. This combined with a customer service like no other allows for a platform which is super engaging and effective.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The only downside to Ed is that the platform is so engaging that your users cant stop using it!!! ;)

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ed app allows our us to quickly and efficiently push out content covering a wide variety of topics. this allows us to be more reactive as well as having a strong core curriculum.

  ### 48. Engaging and responsive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian P. | Education Assistant Manager - Learning Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The interactivity provided by EdApp templates are great. They allow for easy building of lessons in an organized and manageable way that learners easily pick up on. But what takes the interactivity over the top is the gamification employed.

From initial trials using EdApp with a wide range of tech savvy and not so tech savvy users, the gamification is what brought everyone on board. User engagement saw a dramatic uptick once points and rewards were introduced. Of course, tests on content retention from users showed improvement as well because of this. It has also been great in user retention as learners are always checking back for new content, rewards, and other opportunities to contribute (i.e. social learning features).

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp is progressive in their development, and welcome the input from clients. However, with the iterative development process, small bugs present themselves. Such issues are minor and relate more to how content is displaying on a particular interaction, or how a specific report is displaying - and not detrimental to the experience of either the end user or administrators. Nevertheless, the EdApp team is quick to respond and update accordingly to make a better product in the end. It seems like new features and updates are activated every week!

The only other item I'd note is that not all of our users are the tech savvy, and some had issues with understanding how to use the app. We found a workaround by developing a "demo" lesson of our own just to show these learners the different ways to interact with the app.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Examine how the reports work with the data you need.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In an industry where legislative changes impact rules used on the ground, delivering the message in an efficient and trackable manner is vital. EdApp allows us to quickly build and deliver interactive and engaging messages in manageable chunks, helping ensure those on the ground are able to stay up-to-date and in compliance with industry standards. Opposed to other methods of delivery, EdApp is more easily accessible on the learners device, whenever and wherever they need to reference material they've already reviewed.

  ### 49. Bite Sized Education for a Modern Mobile World

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avigayil M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2020

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

EdApp is easy to learn and educational materials are easy to design. There are a variety of templates depending on the length and structure of your content. There are a fair number of interactions that are fun for learners and the ability to earn stars and compete for a leader-board position is a great motivator. The ability to create games within the content is very promising and while we have not used it extensively yet, it could be a very powerful tool for reinforcing learning materials. EdApp accommodates my preferred style of teaching: delivering content, reinforcing the content through knowledge checks throughout, and then assessing long term retention of content through final assessments. In EdApp, you can do it all.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

While there are a variety of templates, there are often inconsistencies between them. In some templates you can italicize words, in others you cannot. Some interactions allow users to get the wrong answer, meaning they are great for quizzes, but others do not allow the user to submit an incorrect answer. Controlling text size is also an issue as the rest of the text auto-resizes in response to a text size change on the slide. This is especially notable for the T/F template. As a designer, I am very fond of consistency.

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Experiment with the app to see if it meets your needs.

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learners often do not have time to sit down at a computer and take a whole course. EdApp allows us to provide essential learning on a mobile device.

  ### 50. Great service and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

The simplicity of the service and the general helpfulness of the EdApp organisation.

**What do you dislike about SC Training (Formerly EdApp)?**

Probably the lack of resources being made available to support the team (like user guides or youtube tutorials)

**Recommendations to others considering SC Training (Formerly EdApp):**

Very quick and effective service levels and great sales team

**What problems is SC Training (Formerly EdApp) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are creating a brand new way for us to create and market our products through learning
