Infrastructure trust, measured - not assumed. Most security programmes now run on Zero Trust: verify the user, verify the request, grant the least privilege. That answers who may access a system. It doesn't answer whether the machine underneath can still be trusted. Is it patched? Encrypted? Still supported by its vendor? Running what the configuration says it runs? A fully verified user on a compromised or end-of-life device is still a breach. SAUTERA closes that gap. Zero Trust tells you who. SAUTERA tells you whether. How it works. The SAUTERA Witness sensor observes each device directly. It runs either installed on the device or agentless over SSH, WMI or SNMP, chosen per estate. Windows and Linux are supported today. From what it observes, SAUTERA computes a continuous trust score per device. The score is evidence-based and updated as the device changes, never a questionnaire answered last quarter. When evidence is missing, SAUTERA reports "Unknown" rather than a false pass. The VOUCH loop. Every finding moves through five steps: Detect (anomalies and posture drift are found from live telemetry), Decide (the platform reasons about what the finding means and what to do), Act (it proposes a signed, reversible fix that runs only when a human approves it), Prove (every action leaves an audit record) and Improve (outcomes feed back into future decisions). Compliance evidence on demand. SAUTERA produces evidence packages mapped to SOC 2, NIST CSF, ISO 27001 and FedRAMP-aligned controls, built from what was observed on the devices rather than screenshots and spreadsheets. For defense contractors, device-layer evidence supports the NIST 800-171 practices behind a CMMC self-assessment and SPRS score. End-of-life exposure and technical debt. SAUTERA scores each device's end-of-life exposure, for example Windows 10 machines past October 2025 support, and prices aging infrastructure in two numbers a finance owner can act on: what the debt costs to carry, and what modernizing would cost. The Complete Trust Decision. SAUTERA combines identity trust from your Zero Trust stack with infrastructure trust at the point of access, giving an ALLOW, DEGRADE or DENY verdict. Honest about scope. macOS and mobile sensors, turnkey one-click integrations and automatic CVE-to-patch authoring are on the roadmap, and we say so on our product page. Who it's for. Security, IT and compliance leaders at regulated, security-conscious organizations who need continuous device posture and evidence an auditor will accept. Free for 10 devices for 30 days. Pro is $5,000 a year with 50 devices included. Not antivirus.
