## SAS Risk Management Reviews
  ### 1. Strong Analytics and Governance for Clear, Transparent Risk Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about SAS Risk Management?**

SAS Risk Management brings strong analytics, governance, and regulatory support together in one place. It gives risk teams better visibility, helps with stress testing and model oversight, and makes reporting more structured and transparent. It is a tool that is used daily by the risk teams.

**What do you dislike about SAS Risk Management?**

The user interface can feel dated and less intuitive than newer platforms, so there’s a learning curve especially when troubleshooting issues. In addition, the integration with R and Python can be less seamless, which can create extra effort and performance overhead with large datasets.

**What problems is SAS Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAS Risk Management addresses the challenge of bringing risk analytics, governance, and regulatory processes together in one structured environment. It supports capabilities such as a centralized model inventory, model assessment, stress testing, risk governance, and ongoing monitoring, instead of having to manage these activities across disconnected tools or through manual processes.

For me, the main benefits are improved visibility, stronger control, and more consistent reporting. I see clear value in having better model oversight, more structured validation and testing, key risk indicators to support monitoring, and greater transparency for decision-making and compliance.

  ### 3. Robust Reporting, But Faces Integration Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Musheer S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2025

**What do you like best about SAS Risk Management?**

I appreciate the science behind the technologies utilized in SAS Risk Management, especially for visual analytics and the customization of reports. I find the modules like IFRS9 incredibly beneficial, particularly the reports for Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculation, which are an essential part of our operations. The ability to harness these advanced tools and create comprehensive visual dashboards significantly aids in our compliance with regulations. The capacity to handle complex data and generate insightful analytics empowers us to manage and solve issues effectively, enhancing our operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about SAS Risk Management?**

I believe there are issues related to running the SAS Risk Management environment on a Windows-based infrastructure, causing downtime which affects multiple modules. Additionally, having the modules spread out in terms of infrastructure could prevent one module's maintenance from impacting others and end users.

**What problems is SAS Risk Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**
