Daton provides sophisticated pre-built connectors which make data source integration convenient as it reduces the dependency on our data engineering team. It's easy to work with and doesn't require much expertise thanks to its user interface. It also offers extensive APIs in case the connectors are more and have to be programmatically managed by us. The pricing models are relatively high. Upon inclusion of more connectors, the billing piles up the cost drastically so we need to be cautious. What problems is Saras Daton solving and how is that benefiting you? We work with nested data present in the source schema and Daton helps with creating separate tables for each nested data. Any excess data which doesn't fit with the field would be automatically truncated. We switched from SuperMetrics in part due to cost but the real benefit for us was the great service. Their Amazon integrations save us a tone of time and their engineers helped us customize our queries to do things we could not even dream of doing in SuperMetrics. Managing data integration with different sources like Shopify, Amazon, google ads, OMS, CRM was a task to build reporting system. Building business intelligence tools on top of our databases. Has helped us make our execution much more data-centric and results-driven. Doing a root cause analysis for an increase/decrease in any metric is 10x faster and we can now also do potential impact analysis of any execution strategy in terms of hard numbers.
