**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arkajit D. | Chief Technology Officer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

What I like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management is its ability to provide more detailed visibility into carbon emissions and environmental impact across products, operations, and supply chain activities within a centralized platform.

One of the biggest advantages for us has been the ability to calculate and track product-level and operational carbon footprints more consistently. This made it easier for sustainability and operations teams to identify areas where emissions reduction initiatives could have the most impact.

We also appreciated the integration with existing SAP systems because operational, procurement, and supply chain data could be connected more efficiently instead of requiring extensive manual data transfers.

Another strong point is the transparency it provides for sustainability reporting and compliance efforts. Leadership teams now have clearer insight into emissions trends, supply chain impact, and sustainability KPIs through centralized dashboards and analytics.

The platform also helped improve collaboration between sustainability, procurement, operations, and compliance teams by creating a more unified view of environmental performance data.

Overall, SAP Sustainability Footprint Management helped improve emissions visibility, streamline carbon accounting processes, and support more data-driven sustainability decision-making across the organization.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

One of the main challenges with SAP Sustainability Footprint Management is the complexity involved in collecting, validating, and standardizing sustainability data across different systems and departments. Since carbon accounting depends heavily on accurate operational and supply chain information, the initial implementation required significant coordination and data preparation effort.

We also found that the platform has a fairly steep learning curve, especially for teams that were newer to sustainability reporting and emissions tracking methodologies. Understanding how to configure calculations, reporting structures, and footprint models properly required additional training and support.

Another area that could improve is reporting flexibility and usability. While the platform provides strong analytical capabilities, building highly customized sustainability reports sometimes required more manual configuration than expected.

Integration with existing ERP and operational environments was valuable overall, but mapping sustainability-related data across multiple systems still required careful validation and ongoing maintenance.

Performance was generally reliable, though larger datasets and complex supply chain structures occasionally required optimization for smoother reporting workflows.

That said, once the platform was fully configured and sustainability processes became more standardized internally, it provided much stronger visibility and control over emissions tracking and footprint reporting compared to our previous manual processes.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Sustainability Footprint Management helped us address several challenges around carbon emissions tracking, sustainability reporting, and managing environmental data across operations and supply chain activities.

Before using the platform, most of our emissions calculations and ESG reporting were handled manually through spreadsheets and disconnected data sources. This often led to inconsistencies, limited visibility into product-level environmental impact, and reporting processes that were difficult to scale as requirements increased.

One of the biggest improvements for us was gaining centralized visibility into carbon footprint data across products, suppliers, and operational workflows. The platform made it easier to organize sustainability data and manage emissions reporting in a much more structured and reliable way.

It also improved collaboration between sustainability, procurement, operations, and compliance teams. Previously, collecting and validating environmental data required a large amount of manual coordination between departments and external vendors. With integrated workflows and centralized reporting, the process became far more efficient and transparent.

The integration with existing SAP systems also helped reduce duplicate reporting efforts and improved consistency between operational and sustainability-related datasets.

Overall, the platform helped improve emissions tracking accuracy, streamline ESG reporting, strengthen compliance readiness, and support broader sustainability and carbon reduction goals with more reliable and actionable data.

  ### 2. Integrated tool for transparency in operation outcome

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barzakh T. | Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

I like how this is tightly integrated with SAP data. Making footprint calculations reliable and actionable with minimum manual work. This gives a confident in transperency.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

It is power full solution indeed but it's installation setup is bit complex in the start for the new user. From a user perspective, reporting flexibility and user experience could be further simplified to support faster insights at operational levels.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the challenge of calculating accurate and consistent carbon and environmental footprints across products, processes, and the value chain. For me, this means greater trust in the results, faster access to footprint insights, and the ability to analyze sustainability impacts at a granular level. The solution enables earlier, data centeric decisions in design, sourcing, and operations rather than treating sustainability only as a reporting requirement.

  ### 3. Turns Sustainability Goals Into Actionable, Product-Level Insights Across SAP Processes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sadi H. | Operations Risk Intelligence Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

What I like most about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management is how it translates sustainability from a high-level ambition into something measurable and actionable. Instead of treating carbon data as a separate reporting exercise, it integrates directly into business processes like procurement, manufacturing, and logistics. That connection makes it much easier to understand the real environmental impact of decisions in day-to-day operations.

I also appreciate its product-level footprint visibility. Being able to track emissions at such a granular level allows for more informed decision-making, especially when evaluating suppliers, optimizing supply chains, or redesigning products. This aligns well with a data-driven approach, which I value in both research and practice.

Another strong point is its compatibility with existing SAP systems, which reduces friction in implementation and ensures consistency of data across functions. Overall, I see it as a practical tool that bridges the gap between sustainability strategy and operational execution, rather than just serving as a compliance or reporting solution.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

One thing I find limiting about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management is the complexity of implementation. It relies heavily on high-quality, granular data across the entire value chain, which in practice is difficult to obtain—especially when suppliers are not equally mature in their sustainability reporting. This can lead to gaps or heavy reliance on estimates, which reduces the accuracy of the insights.

I also think the tool can feel quite rigid. While it is strong in structured environments, adapting it to more dynamic or less standardized business models can be challenging. Customization is possible, but it often requires significant technical effort and deep SAP expertise, which not every organization has readily available.

Another downside is usability. The interface and workflows are not always intuitive, particularly for non-technical users or stakeholders outside of sustainability or IT teams. This can slow down adoption internally and create dependency on specialized roles.

Finally, from a strategic perspective, it is still more focused on measurement and reporting than on guiding actionable decision-making. While it provides valuable data, translating that into clear, practical actions for managers is not always straightforward without additional tools or analytical layers.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Sustainability Footprint Management addresses the problem of fragmented and inconsistent carbon data by centralizing footprint calculations across the value chain. It solves the lack of transparency in product-level emissions, which is critical for making informed operational and strategic decisions. The tool also tackles the challenge of integrating sustainability into core business processes rather than treating it as a separate reporting function.

For me, this is beneficial because it enables a more data-driven approach to sustainability, aligning well with my research focus on consumer behavior and value chains. It helps bridge the gap between theoretical sustainability concepts and real-world business applications. By providing granular insights, it supports better evaluation of suppliers and promotional strategies from both economic and environmental perspectives.

Additionally, it reduces the manual effort required for carbon accounting, improving efficiency and consistency. It also helps ensure compliance with increasing regulatory and reporting requirements. Overall, it benefits me by making sustainability measurable, comparable, and more actionable within business decision-making.

  ### 4. Centralizes Emissions Data with Ease, Setup Needs Improvement

I also appreciate how it centralizes our emissions data, moving us away from fragmented spreadsheets and manual tracking, allowing us to track Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions efficiently.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

One area for improvement in SAP Sustainability Footprint Management is the initial setup and data readiness—it can take time to align and structure data correctly. The user interface could also be more intuitive, especially for non-technical users, and more out-of-the-box templates or guidance would help speed up adoption.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Sustainability Footprint Management centralizes emissions data, reducing manual tracking and spreadsheet fragmentation. It provides clear, product-level carbon insights, integrating with ERP data to track Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions effectively, supporting compliance and aiding in sustainability-focused decision-making.

  ### 5. Real-Time Data, Not Guesswork: A Practical Look at SAP SFM

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giorgio F. | Information Technology Application Specialist - Tilby, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

What I like most is the integration. It pulls data directly from S/4HANA, so you’re working with real-time transactional information instead of relying on manual spreadsheets.

It also makes Scope 3 emissions much easier to track by mapping specific emission factors to materials and suppliers, which turns what would normally be a complex audit trail into something more manageable and transparent. Overall, it treats carbon data with the same rigor as financial data, and that makes the process feel far more structured and reliable.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

My biggest frustration is how complex the initial setup can be. Although the integration with S/4HANA is a major plus, getting the data mapping and emission factors properly aligned across a complex global supply chain is a massive undertaking. It’s definitely not “plug and play.”

I also see the dependency on data quality as a double-edged sword. If your master data is messy or inconsistent, the tool’s output quickly becomes unreliable. And for companies that aren’t already deeply embedded in the SAP ecosystem, the licensing costs—along with the learning curve for non-technical users—can feel pretty steep.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s basically solving the data-fragmentation mess. Before this, I had to hunt down information from a dozen different departments just to understand the impact of a single product—and by the time I finally got an answer, it was already outdated.

Here’s how it’s genuinely making my life easier. First, there’s no more manual digging. Since it’s plugged into the ERP, I don’t have to keep going back to procurement for every invoice or to logistics for every shipping route; the data is simply there when I need it. Second, it gives me precision instead of guesswork. It stops us from just “estimating” our impact, because I can see exactly which material or supplier is driving up our emissions. That means I’m solving real problems instead of chasing ghosts. Third, it’s audit-ready in minutes. When a client or a regulator asks for proof, I don’t have to panic—the system tracks the “why” and the “how” behind every number, which saves me hours of defensive paperwork.

Overall, it takes the “sustainability” part of my job out of a spreadsheet and puts it directly into the workflow, where I can actually do something about it

  ### 6. Quantifiable Sustainability with a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaurya S. | Project Manager (Development and Simulations), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

I think the best part about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management is that it makes sustainability quite quantifiable. It also makes it easier for me to 'prove' why certain decisions need to happen. Its integration with the whole ecosystem of SAP is really useful and nice.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

It took me quite a bit of time to get used to the interface. It is genuinely quite complex. Now I need to onboard people with it and it's a real headache most of the times. There are too many layers and navigation paths. While it makes sense that someone who does not have prior experience with SAP will have issues with this, it is still quite challenging as I need to go step by step and sometimes the flow of information doesn't really feel very intuitive. As I mentioned earlier, the learning curve is a bit steep in my opinion.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Sustainability Footprint Management to identify CO2 per unit, enhance transparency in emissions sources, and make sustainability quantifiable, enabling me to justify decisions easier. Its integration with SAP's ecosystem strengthens its utility.

  ### 7. Effective Management Tool with Tangible Outcomes

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

I like how SAP Sustainability Footprint Management allows me to integrate all different aspects of my sustainability efforts and convert them into real tangible results. These results can be directly used for marketing and decision-making purposes. It helped me organize my management experience and fast track it while creating a common space for team members to share ideas and documentations.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

Well, for beginners, I would say that there should be a better interface. Although it was easy to use, but you still need some level of expertise. You need some level of understanding to be able to do things slightly on SAP Sustainability Footprint Management. If we had a more user friendly experience, I would say that it would really elevate the overall experience of using the platform.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Sustainability Footprint Management helps me convert our efforts into tangible, numerical results, which we can show to our team and customers. It integrates all sustainability efforts, aiding in decision-making and marketing.

  ### 8. Automated Accuracy with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshat A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

I love how SAP Sustainability Footprint Management supports regulatory compliance, like ESG reporting and certifications, which is crucial for us. The best part is the automation; it eliminates the need for manual data uploads and saves us countless hours. I can rely on it for accuracy and enjoy putting high granularity of data to use in real-time operations instead of just estimates. The seamless integration of results into our business processes is excellent. The AI-powered approach is also very fruitful for us.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

I find it challenging that we get incomplete and inconsistent data from our suppliers. The results from this data aren't always actionable because we don't have proper classifications for where everything is coming from. I'm also not thrilled about the integration for non-SAP systems. It's doable, but it isn't a plug-and-play kind of thing—it takes effort and time, and you have to think about it. Another limitation is the customization aspect of the solution; you can't really tweak the logic, the AI, and the software we use. Customizing it requires additional effort and thought.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Sustainability Footprint Management to track and optimize emissions, calculate service footprints, and support regulatory compliance with automated, accurate data handling and real-time operations.

  ### 9. Turning sustainability data into actionable procurement insights

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Tobacco | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

Before tools like this, footprint tracking often felt disconnected from real decisions. Now it’s tied into procurement and supply chain processes, so you can actually see the emissions impact when you’re choosing suppliers or materials.I also like that it handles complex supply chains without oversimplifying things too much. Getting reasonably reliable footprint data across multiple tiers is usually where most systems fall apart, but here it feels more structured and consistent. And honestly, the biggest value is that it sits inside the SAP ecosystem. That means you’re not juggling separate tools—cost, supply, and carbon are in the same environment, which makes trade-offs much more practical.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

A lot depends on having clean, structured data in place first. If your master data or supplier data isn’t solid, the footprint calculations can get messy or require a lot of manual fixing. So in practice, the tool is only as good as your underlying data setup. It can also feel a bit complex for users who aren’t already deep in the SAP ecosystem. There’s a learning curve, and it’s not always super intuitive for someone in procurement who just wants quick, clear insights. Another thing is that while it’s powerful, it can sometimes feel more like a framework than a ready-to-go solution. You still need quite a bit of configuration and alignment across teams before it really delivers value. And finally, the output is strong, but turning those insights into actual behavioral change in the organization is still on the company not the tool.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of not knowing the real carbon impact of what you buy or produce. Instead of rough estimates, I can actually see footprint data linked to suppliers and materials. That helps me make sourcing decisions that are both cost and carbon-aware, not just guesswork. It removes the disconnect between sustainability reporting and operational decisions. Because the data sits in the same system as procurement and supply chain, it’s much easier to factor emissions into day-to-day choices instead of treating it as a separate reporting exercise.

  ### 10. Seamless SAP S/4HANA Integration with Real-Time Emissions Data

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

The standout feature is the seamless integration with the existing SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. Instead of manually exporting spreadsheets and "guessing" emissions data, the tool pulls real-time business data directly from the ERP

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

The initial setup and data mapping process are quite complex and require a deep understanding of both SAP's technical landscape and sustainability frameworks. While the integration is powerful, it can feel like a "black box" at times, making it difficult to troubleshoot or verify specific calculation logic without significant effort. Additionally, the reliance on high-quality master data means that if your underlying ERP data is messy, the footprint results are equally unreliablE

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solves the problem of "data silos" and the reliance on manual, inconsistent spreadsheets for carbon reporting. By pulling data directly from our ERP, it eliminates the guesswork and time-consuming data collection that usually delays sustainability disclosures.
This benefits me by providing audit-ready, real-time transparency at the product level, which allows us to treat carbon with the same financial rigor as our budget. It enables more informed procurement by letting us see the environmental impact of different suppliers before we buy, effectively turning sustainability from a reporting burden into a strategic advantage for our supply chain and customer bids.

  ### 11. Essential for Accurate Sustainability Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

I use SAP Sustainability Footprint Management to handle complex sustainability data, simplify compliance reporting, and gain actionable insights to reduce environmental impact and costs. It helps calculate and analyze footprints accurately, allowing data-driven decisions towards sustainability goals.

  ### 12. Powerful SKU-Level Footprinting That Drives Better Product Decisions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit Kumar P. | Team Member Cell, Oil & Energy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

Most tools stop at overall emissions, but this one lets you calculate footprints per product or SKU. That’s powerful because decisions (pricing, sourcing, design) happen at product level, not just company level.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

Setup is heavy and not beginner-friendly

This is probably the biggest pain point.
	•	It’s not plug-and-play
	•	Requires deep SAP knowledge + backend integration
	•	Takes time before you see value

Users consistently say the initial setup is “unnecessarily complicated” and requires significant effort to integrate data

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fragmented and unreliable sustainability data

Most companies have:
	•	Excel sheets
	•	Supplier emails
	•	Separate ERP + environmental data
SAP fixes this by:
	•	Pulling data from ERP systems, suppliers, and external databases

  ### 13. Strong ERP Integration and Solid Scope 1–3 Drill-Down with Audit-Ready PCF

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

For me, ERP integration is the best point. For already S4 Hana, huge data = BOMs, Procurement records, logistics is already there and can be easily utilised. Pipelines is simple. Product-level Scope 1, 2, and 3 drill-down is solid, and when a customer asks for the PCF of a specific part number, we can now produce it with an audit trail.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

UI is classic SAP, it's functional, but not delightful. Onboarding new users requires a lot of patience. And lastly, Pricing is for big enterprises which have minimum 150,000 records, and thus smaller organisations have to rethink and consider multiple times.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool mainly solves the problem of not having clear, product-level carbon data. Before using it, we had scattered emissions info and a lot of manual work in spreadsheets, which made reporting slow and unreliable.

With this tool, we can actually track emissions across the value chain and break them down per product. That’s helped us make better decisions like identifying high-impact materials or suppliers and improved our reporting accuracy. It also saves time and gives more confidence during audits or sustainability disclosures.

  ### 14. Deep SAP Integration That Unifies Finance, Supply Chain, and Sustainability Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit P. | Team Member, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

Deep integration with SAP ecosystem
If a company already uses SAP S/4HANA or other SAP tools, data flows directly—no messy manual consolidation. Finance, supply chain, and sustainability data connect in one place.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

Too dependent on high-quality data

The tool is only as good as your data.
	•	Needs accurate supplier data (Scope 3 especially)
	•	Requires complete ERP + emissions datasets
	•	Data gaps = unreliable insights

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No visibility into product-level emissions

Earlier, companies only knew:
	•	Total company emissions (very high-level)

But decisions happen at product level.

SAP solves this by:
	•	Calculating product carbon footprint (PCF) across the lifecycle (raw material → production → transport)

  ### 15. Streamlined Carbon Emissions Tracking, User-Friendly with Setup Hurdles

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

I use SAP Sustainability Footprint Management to track carbon emissions for car parts. It helps my team identify which materials pollute more, so we can address those. The tool integrates with existing SAP data, saving us time and providing clear, easy-to-understand information.

  ### 16. SAP Integration Makes Product Carbon Footprints Clear and Actionable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

What I found genuinely useful is how it calculates carbon footprint at a product level and not just at a high level. That clarity really helps when you want to understand where exactly the impact is coming from. Also, since it works on top of existing SAP data, it avoids a lot of manual work and duplication. The emission factor handling and footprint breakdown across production, transport, etc., gives a more complete picture instead of fragmented insights. In real scenarios, this makes decision making much more practical rather than just theoretical reporting.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

The biggest challenge is the complexity. It is not something you can just start using without proper data readiness and understanding of sustainability concepts. Integration with other modules or external systems is not always smooth and sometimes requires extra effort. Also, there are gaps in areas like scope 1 and 2 coverage and some limitations in reporting flexibility. UI and usability can definitely be improved, especially for business users who are not very technical.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier, tracking emissions was mostly manual and scattered across different sources, which made it unreliable and time consuming. This tool brings everything together and links it with actual business transactions, which improves accuracy a lot. It helps in identifying which products or processes are contributing more to emissions, so actions can be taken in the right areas. It also supports compliance requirements which are becoming mandatory in many regions. Overall, it reduces manual effort, improves transparency, and gives confidence in sustainability reporting.

  ### 17. Robust Integration, But Complex Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zul S. | Senior Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

I like the native SAP ERP integration, as it flows directly to procurement and production orders, which is quite useful. The strong scope 3 traceability for CSRD compliance is also something I appreciate. Using SAP Sustainability Footprint Management alongside SAP S/4HANA Analytics Cloud gives me end-to-end traceability, which is beneficial.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

The configuration overhead is significant, with emission factor assignment and product footprint rules requiring substantial consultant time to configure correctly. A more guided setup wizard could help reduce the time to value. The out of the box dashboards are limited, and the licensing costs are a concern.

**What problems is SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Sustainability Footprint Management for benchmarking ESG reporting and enjoy its native SAP ERP integration and strong CSRD compliance capabilities, leading to end-to-end traceability.

**What do you like best about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**

SAP Sustainability Footprint Management (SFM) stands out for providing end-to-end transparency of carbon and environmental footprints across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. It uses real operational data from SAP systems to deliver accurate, real-time insights rather than relying on estimates, enabling continuous monitoring instead of annual reporting. A key strength is its ability to calculate product- and process-level footprints, essential for meeting regulations like the EU’s CBAM and providing customers with detailed Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data. Seamless integration with the wider SAP ecosystem—including S/4HANA, Analytics Cloud, and Business Network—reduces manual effort and ensures footprint data flows across finance, procurement, and operations. It also simplifies compliance with standards such as the GHG Protocol, ISO 14067, and CSRD. With built-in scenario planning, companies can model changes in suppliers, materials, or production methods to actively reduce emissions while driving smarter, more sustainable business decisions.

**What do you dislike about SAP Sustainability Footprint Management?**
