SAP PPM is at first difficult to understand because of its complex systems thus changing the central rules can be a bit cumbersome. Also there are limited project resources. The interface is also a little non reliable. The pricing is much high when comparing to other contenders. Its limited functionality is seen as negative aspect. SAP PPM also provides with poor speed quality and non flexibility of the software. The scheduling processes offered by SAP PPM force clients to use some outside sources. I like that once you understand SAP that it's easy to use. It became more user friendly once you dice into SAP, I helped work out the bugs as we were a test pilot location and once we went live it was awesome, a few issues would come up here and there but they got fixed efficiently Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PPM is a good portfolio management tool to decide which project/programs/ideas have to be executed in the company.

You have a clear overview of all of them, and the stage in which the item is, costs, and all the information. This allow you to take strategic decisions and also operative decisions.

You can use PPM for CapEx Projects, Stretegic Projects, R&D Projects, IT Projects.... having different portfolios.

PPM is also a project management tool, of course don't expect a project management tool to manage a big construction project with a lot of subcontractors, but this can be used for medium size projects, specially is very good in resource management.

The transactions I use in SAP are really easy to use , really easy to convert in excel and really overseeable .

I do dislike its speed sometimes .

The biggest advantage of this software is that it is a great software because it allow us to manage multiple projects and multiple teams. It's very easy to upload files. This software is very useful software to communicate with friends and colleagues. The another benefit in this software, we can easily send our important data, information and documents by using this efficient software. We can easily use this software because it is very user friendly and also reliable software for everyone. Most of the people use this efficient software for communication and sharing purpose. The one main disadvantage of this software is that its some features are very limited and we can't use this software because it's features are very difficult. Sometimes it gets very difficult for it's outstanding features because it takes too much time to manage the projects and schedule.
