One example of such an innovative feature is the Business Accelerator Hub, which offers thousands of pre-built connections to make it easy to get started, rather than having to build it from the ground up. In addition to the pre-built connections, the SAP Integration Suite also supports the concept of a "Clean Core". This concept allows companies to ensure the longevity and maintainability of their existing SAP systems, while allowing the seamless and easy integration of SAP with other third-party systems through the use of multiple API management options, event-driven architectures and artificial intelligence (AI) assisted mapping of the data. SAP Integration Suite also provides enterprise-level governance and scalability across the entire environment and reduces the amount of development work needed to implement SAP and other solutions, making it more beneficial and efficient for the business. SAP Integration Suite has several positive points; however, it tends to be too complex for a consumption-based pricing model and unpredictably priced for high volume environments due to the complexity of SAP Integration Suite's offering. Developers also note that the interface is slow and the learning curve of the integration platform is high because it is built on proprietary SAP logic instead of open standards. In addition, due to the lack of native debugging capabilities and advanced Git-like capabilities of version control, when a development team is troubleshooting a problem together or modifying their code in real-time, the developer's ability to effectively work on the integration project will be slowed or limited compared to modern cloud-native alternatives.
