I find SAP Concur helpful in consolidating travel and expense management under one platform, which is especially beneficial for large institutions dealing with complex finance and multi-currency calculations. I appreciate the mobile receipt capture feature; it's great—just a snap, and it fetches all the details about the amount and merchant. I like the credit card feed matching; it automatically matches credit card transactions to expense line items, saving employees from manually entering amounts that already exist on statements. I enjoy using ExpenseIt—it automatically fetches all the details with just one photo snapshot of a receipt, capturing accurate information about merchants, amounts, dates, and categories. I find the UI feels dated compared to newer competitors like Expensify. There are too many fields to fill-in even for the known categories. Also, some warnings continue to persist even after the claim is approved which doesnt make any sense. What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you? Well the tool itself is for tracking the claim process. So it saves hell lot of time chasing people for approvals which is very much the process followed in most companies. The tool eliminates such one-on-one followup for managers to approve, and I really appreciate this. All the claims submitted are throughly review even before submitting by means of warning and errors which avoids most cases (rejection and resubmission cases). I like that it brings travel booking and expense management together in one place, and that it can integrate with corporate credit card programs. Being able to embed our own travel policy in the background is also a big plus. That said, the user interface feels like it’s lagging behind other providers in the industry, which offer a more modern platform. From a performance perspective I find it to be on par with other providers. On pricing and ROI, their pricing is more expensive and the ROI is lagging behind. Support and onboarding is ok, not stellar. AI/Intelligence wise, their reports and dashboarding are lagging behind other providers such as Navan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about SAP Concur? Since its acquisition by SAP, there hasn’t been enough investment in the product. It also isn’t a true end-to-end solution, because it doesn’t have an in-house credit card program and instead relies on third-party integrations with corporate card programs. What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you? Concur solved our problem of not having an in-house expense management tool. It gave us clear visibility into our travel spend, helped ensure expense reports were submitted on time, and automated integration with our GL. This, in turn, supported a timely close of our financials and improved cost allocation by cost center. What I like most about SAP Concur is how easy it makes submitting and tracking expenses. The receipt capture feature in SAP Concur saves me a lot of time, and the automatic import of card transactions helps keep everything organized, accurate, and easy to follow. I like the ease at which I can book travels while adhering to the corporate policy. The feature where I can hold an itinerary for 24 hours for flights is particularly useful. It's convenient having a one-stop solution for any corporate travels, hotel reservations, and car rentals. We're also enabling WalkMe features to improve ease of booking for customers. I find SAP Concur really easy to access, especially for creating an expense account and expense report. The process is simplified because all the specific reimbursement codes are listed within the system, so I don't have to look up any codes separately. I just enter how many miles I went and where, and all the other expense codes are included automatically. What do you dislike about SAP Concur? The only thing that I found slightly annoying is when I'm putting in a specific expense, especially if it's a repeated expense like car mileage. There should be a way to continually add and create another line item expense for car mileage. Instead, I have to go back in each time to do a separate car mileage for each trip, and that seems unnecessary.
