**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I like how SAP Concur simplifies organizing business trips, including planning, booking, and tracking daily experiences. It's convenient to just take a photo of receipts and upload them immediately, and the system automatically categorizes expenses like transport, food, and accommodation, supporting multiple currencies without needing complex manual calculations. The ease of using the interface is clear, even for beginners, and the multilingual support is a bonus. The system makes expense reporting straightforward and less stressful, especially when traveling. It's easy to set up and use and is really helpful for managing everything related to trips, including handling multiple currencies.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I think it has improved lately but I do not like SAP Concur. Terrible UI, terrible workflows, not intuitive at all, and we use it because we have to, not because in any way simplifies our task.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Not intuitive at all. Seems it was made by a persona who does not need an easy way to submit expenses several times a year. And when there's an issue with a expense report it difficult to make changes and fix.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Concur, at least how we use it at work, is the only tools available to track, submit, and get reimbursement on expenses related to work.
Is the only way to officialy track those expenses and get reimbursement.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I do like how SAP Concur populates information, making it easy to understand once you use it enough. Depending on your access, you can make the information you see or put in as intense or as little as you want.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Sometimes it isn't helpful with moving through months. I want to see information that has been deposited in a month before, and there isn't really a way to access archived history easily without having to do several steps to get there. I would say to make the feature of seeing past information easier.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Concur organizes receipts and helps figure out purchasing details. It populates information, making it easier to understand with use, and allows you to control the intensity of the information viewed or inputted.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The only helpful aspect is the app for uploading receipts.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The look and feel of the website page. At least 1/3 of the page is occupied by dead space. The next 1/3 is helpful. That leaves the bottom 1/3 of the page for going through your expense line items for review. The only point of the page is to review the line items and it reduces and truncates them down to the bottom 1/3 of the page. You cannot re-size the area and the scrolling jumps several line items at a time when trying to scroll up or down. Same story for the travel component . Too much useless space that cannot be shrunk or resized so you can access the portion of the page that you need to work with the data. The webpage is unusable on a laptop and just frustrating on a large screen.

Remove the wasted webpage space or allow it to be collapsed to that the portion of the page with the data/line items is useful.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I think the expense management in SAP Concur is quite good. It makes submitting expenses easy, especially through the mobile app, which has improved a lot over the years. It was a nightmare before, but they've worked on it.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The travel booking feature in SAP Concur could use some improvement. The travel desk was really difficult to use, even last year. Also, the options of flights and hotels on the website are very expensive compared to booking directly with airlines or hotels. I think they need to reduce these costs or fix any overhead costs they're passing on to businesses.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find SAP Concur makes submitting expenses easier, especially with the mobile app. Previously, handling expenses was a nightmare, but it has improved significantly.

I like that SAP Concur allows me to view all the flights, hotels, and rental cars all in one spot. I don't have to visit multiple websites. I've used the mobile app it provides in the past, which is helpful in keeping all trips with multiple vendors together. As a user, most of the fields you enter when you first get started, and it remembers your preferences, so it’s pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The UX is very clunky and makes it difficult to find things sometimes.

SAP Concur doesn't really solve any problems for me. I like that I can view flights, hotels, and rental cars in one spot, which means I don't have to visit multiple websites.

It does its job well and has some basic receipt automation function. It's a standard expense and travel management system, and has clear approval routing.

Not automated or AI-powered enough. It is a traditional system and lacks automated tools like analyzing receipts, auto-filling fields, etc. Also, not a lot of integrations and reporting

Filters and sliders are not working well and pin pointing specific flight is difficult. Missing selections for transport like international bus and it is only as public transport.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The best thing about Concur is managing and viewing employees' flight schedules in one place.  We do need a way to allow employees to book flights quickly while ensuring they adhere to company policies.  It's also really helpful that EAs and Admins can book flights and manage expense reports for other employees.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Customer service and sales are terrible.  On multiple occasions, a Concur contact has emailed me and sent me a calendar invite for the next day or next week to talk, and it turned out that they wanted to increase our monthly fee.  When we reduced our usage and I wanted to reduce our monthly fee accordingly, it took weeks even to get a response.  It's been almost two months since my original outreach on this issue and although I eventually got a response from someone, they have not followed up with the updated contract that was promised.

It allows employees to submit expense reports and obtain approvals electronically which is a smooth workflow. It also allows a platform for employees to book travel within company guidelines and using our company credit card.

Power and ability.  It is a powerhouse that can handle international and domestic travel and exchange rates with no problem.  Their data base is extensive compared to others.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Lack of flexibility and customization.  It is the SAP way or the highway.  It took over 18 months to correct one problem for an employee but the same issue was with others employees and they did not fix the issue just the squeeky wheel.

Consolidation of travel and business expense management.  Easy transition to G/L.

Concur is a great tool for organizations with a lot of offices and presence in developing countries since it can fit into many different compliance needs. You can bend and customize it to meet specific procedural requirements that a multi-national corporation might require.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The integration tools are terrible. The packaged connector continuously fails and some key needs like line level unique identifiers make integration errors a massive headache to check.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We like the receipt management and invoice scanning tools that the system provides. The whole process is certainly a massive step up from the paper expense report process we used to do 8 years ago.

It has some limitations in relation to different grouping, but overall it allows each use to track expenses and make allocations if needed. It speeds up the close process

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It is one of the most commonly used expense reporting programs. My last few employers have used it, so I haven't hard to re-learn a program.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

I would often get errors when submitting expenses. Instead of telling me what the issue was, it would just be stuck while I had to troubleshoot on my own. Also, my company didn't pay for customer support, so there was zero human help, which was a nightmare.

It processes all of our expenses.

The time-consuming reporting lended well for in-depth reporting.  Managers could see in great detail where funds were being spent at month end.  Ideally, if it had functioned correctly, the information should have populated in SAP.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Customer Support was incredibly hard to reach; upgrades and solutions were always "in the pipeline" but never seemed to arrive and there were no mobile solutions available to our team.

Concur did not actively help us problem-solve.  We made repeated requests for simple upgrades, and our solutions were always en route but never arrived.  It was very frustrating.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I know before my trip takes place whether or not I will have any problems with reimbursement.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

I had to make a travel expense report before even taking a trip and have it approved by my direct superior and their direct superior before booking the flight and the hotel. This could take many days to complete. Sometimes by the time I'm allowed to proceed in booking my flight, the charges are higher and will initiate a red flag when I eventually upload my receipt. I also have to think of all the things I might need to expense (tolls, gratuities, gas, baggage fees, etc.) and come up with an amount. After a while, you learn to overinflate the expected expenses to compensate for things that you will eventually run into.
I also had to carry these expenses on a personal credit card and wait for reimbursement. 
There was no mobile app in my experience to handle all of the expense receipts.

It made you accountable for whatever expenses you predicted related to your trip. It created a complex workflow for approvals via an email notification system.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It is a large company and well-known, so many people are aware of the product and have used it before. It made training and adoption easier.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Pretty much everything. I implemented Concur in 2017 and had it until 2021. During that time, we had subpar customer service for a product that is mediocre in comparison to newer products on the market. They need to up their game to be able to continue to compete in the future.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Concur for Expense management and for our purchasing card reconciliation. We had a feed from our credit card into Concur that allowed for our teams to code their transactions within 5 days of when the transaction was made.

It's flexibility to record expenses virtually from anywhere in the world. Also i have seen many expenses recording softwares but i think SAP has taken a very good initiative.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Well, why it's not integrated like, i would say that in my opinion there should be ideally a tool which brings all the expenses under the submitter, approver and authorizer and payment processor.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

It's a good platform of expenses tracking but requires major improvements.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like real time recording of my business expenses. We had a backlog and volume of huge expenses set which were not recorded earlier as it was very difficult to book all expenses via different SAP screens.

I am not a big fan of the SAP Concur application. There aren't many good things about this platform at all, but the only thing I would say about it is that it does its job, albeit in a complicated manner.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

I don't like that there are too many loops to go through to get expenses, travel etc... approved. There are too many moving parts to get to what is needed. It's not efficient at all and it just makes the process of booking and expensing so much more complex than it needs to be. The UI could also be improved since it appears to be outdated.

I can do the bare minimum of booking my travel for my business trips and logging in all of my expenses.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

SAP Concur allows organizations to organize travel requests and submit reimbursements. From the user (employee) perspective, the options for submission and request often don't address all possible needs; users are forced to either submit duplicate requests to address different needs or use the "other" category more than once. Additionally, I am able to add my preferences for travel and reimbursement.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

There are not many options for a user to input unique costs or charges beyond the standard options. The submission system is built for linear use, in particular charges and orders; but today's charges and travel requests require more flexible reporting.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used SAP Concur to log travel and reimbursement for work-related business.It is helpful personally to have a log of my travel and expenditures that I can view when I log in.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I like that it's easy to use for organizing receipts, keeping track of expenses, and long-term review. It also makes things easier with our HR department after work-related travel.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

I think it's difficult and a bit clunky to use, but perhaps need to spend more time becoming familiar with it as well. Sometimes the attachments don't translate clearly for our staff to review.

The platform and interface felt outdated and not user-friendly. My company switched to Ramp, which seems much easier to navigate and use.

Rates were not honored when I arrived at the hotel. Doesn't correct calculate sales tax and other hotel fees, makes it part of booking rate requiring approval of management.

It is apparently good for tax, operating in multiple countries, and a lower cost at scale but as a user I do not like the UX at all. It's annoying to have to re-enter all the fields whereas other tools like expensify it automatically uploads everything

The best part about this software is that it does its job, i.e., you can submit your expenses.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The user interface is extremely cluttered, and the functions are hidden under layers of drop-down menus.
Also, many of its auto-fill features are severely limited and buggy. For instance, I went on a trip to Washington, DC. When I searched for Washington, DC in the 'destination' cell, it could not find it. I tried "DC," "D.C.," "District of Columbia, Washington," and many more. In the end, I typed in "wash" and scrolled down until I found the appropriate name.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Concur is primarily used in my organization to report trips and associated expenses for the sake of reimbursement. It allows your employer to track your trips and organize your expenses based on categories.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

At a 50K foot level, it is nice in theory to have both travel booking and expense report management tools at your fingertips within one application. 

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Where to start? The system is consistently slow (for reasons that remain unclear) and provides intrusive notifications via e-mail and text message. Further, the travel function does not allow you to book flights in premium economy (for instance) and provides no insight into how hotel rooms are priced. If you search for a hotel by zip code, a new window pops up that takes 20+ seconds to load and does not allow you to submit just a zip code but rather, the zip code and a city etc. Once the hotel results have loaded, the map function is cumbersome and does not provide detail on a street level (akin to Yelp for instance). Furthermore, it is extremely frustrating to get logged out of the system after 5 minutes of inactivity so I would highly recommend writing down the flights/hotel you wish to book before logging into the system as there have been many times where I get booted out and have to go back and reselect my flights/dates/"purpose of trip" etc.

Make sure to do a trial run of at least a month to see if these glitches would impact you and your organization!

In theory, the software combines two of the more cumbersome aspects of working for an organization - expense management and travel management. However, SAP Concur has not done a good enough job integrating the two management matters as evident from the glitches noted above.

Concur's handling of expense receipt images is reasonably good once they've been uploaded.

The UI design is dated and unintuitive. The application itself tends to be laggy and slow, with unnecessary button clicks in some places. Report generation is buggy and unreliable. Reports with incorrect dates can't be corrected, they have to be deleted and completely redone. Support is useless.

Travel/expense reports are submitted via Concur. It does the job adequately but just barely.

I dislike how busy it is, how many fields I have to populate, how many pages I have to go through in order to complete a travel form, it looks like a nightmare. It's not compacted, and it asks for tons of clicks. Also, it is not very well explained.

I know SAP Concur is a popular platform so it is nice to use a platforma that a lot of other companies use. I also like that there is an option to do all expenses via mobile.

The interface and the user experience in my opinion is not ideal. It is very outdated looking and it makes expensing and booking travel way more difficult than it should be.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I mentioned as one of the thinks I like about Concur, a ton of companies use it so there is definitely a reason it is so popular. It is also nice knowing how to use the platform for the sake of switching to another company, the probability of using Concur elsewhere is high.

It gets the job done, but that is the best I can say about it. You are able to submit expense reports, book travel, and conduct other functions. However, doing so is always difficult because the platform is unintuitive.

It is horribly unintuitive, confusing, and difficult to use. When you expense a trip you have to click through numerous different screens, all with confusing fields, and unhelpful drop downs.

If there is an alternative, you should explore it. Concur is horribly difficult to use.

We use it for my companies expense reporting and travel booking. The travel function is helpful in some ways. For example, it tells you what your organization's policies are, and gives you GSA per diem rstes which is nice.

It’s fairly intuitive to perform basic searches and keeps all travel/trip details in one place. The approval process works well, and management is able to set up a threshold for pre-approved travel. 

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The search function simply does not bring up the best rates for flights or hotels reliably. I am often able to perform a simple search online to find a better rate on both, meaning the company is actually paying more money for travel on top of the Concur subscription. 
The hotels included should be of a minimum standard. The platform is used for corporate travel and as such there are generally requirements in terms of minimum levels of comfort and cleanliness as well as amenities. It is not obvious when browsing accommodation which hotels are really suitable for business travel - a review system would be useful.

Sometimes my session gets timed out while filling the form, and it doesn't keep my data when I click the submit button, so I have to start the whole process again from the beginning.
The UI looks quite old, and also not too user friendly from UX perspective.

It is a robust tool with lot's of integration possibilities, and it is still cheaper than developing and managing an own tool.

Concur makes it easy for a company to provide travel options for employees with an approval system that eliminates the need for large travel reimbursements.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Concur never shows the most cost effective flights, and it's not very user-friendly. It's easy to get confused. It's far easier to find a cheap, convenient flight through Google or some other website.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

Concur gets the job done. It allows employees to submit expenses and meet their travel needs. However, if you're number one goal is cost-effectiveness, you're better off using other online sites like Google Flights to book travel plans.

It's easy to use Concur to book flights, rental cars, hotels, etc. without bothering anyone for a access to a company credit card.

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Having previously used printed spreadsheets and taped-down receipts, Concur is a welcomed tool allowing us to easily digitize receipts, import card transactions, and streamline the approval and payment processes.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Concur frequently takes a considerable amount of time to process receipt images and make them available for use.  This causes us to have to "come back later" to do the report we were in the middle of.  The system has bugs.  The mileage calculator doesn't work properly, and hasn't in a few years.  If it does calculate correctly, it comes up with a decimal mileage value and tries to import it into an integer field in Concur.  This produces an error.  When you update the field manually, even rounding down, it then gives a warning that the mileage exceeds their calculated mileage - even though it is actually less.  The interface is slow, and associating the proper receipts to the card transaction is cumbersome at best.  Warnings and exceptions are not as intuitive as an "occasional user" would need.

Automating and digitizing the expense reporting, approval, and payment processes.  Despite frustrations of users, we have realized a cost savings in several areas, and it offers better reporting of expenditures.

The mobile app is easy and simple to use. Makes it quick to upload expenses and automatically calculates it for you. While it automatically chooses today's date as the expense date, it has encouraged me to add my expenses as I go. 

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The web version is confusing. Especially when booking flights/hotels, it's unclear when I've committed to a flight or hotel. Also, it's been common that rate changes midway through as in, one night is $250, the next $400, and this doesn't show up immediately when searching. The search tool in general is confusing, often showing the furthest option first.

Check to see if there are other, easier software to choose. Otherwise, train your employees to use the mobile app first.

Concur for expense and travel management is what is most widely used in the IT sector. What I liked best was the simple clean interface, availability on app, regular upgrades 

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

I disliked concur more than actually enjoying the experience. It is an extremely slow, constantly lagging, constantly crashing, bug-infested, limited convenience product. There are no customer service providers who can actually provide solutions. The app makes uploading of invoices extremely tedious, and what should take less than 10 minutes is extended to 30. 

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

When settling down to using concur for work, keep aside atleast 8 hrs to dedicate to it because the app keeps crashing n lagging, so if you are on a deadline, you would be thoroughly frustrated.

Concur was necessary for travel bookings and expense management. It was only efficient in terms of replacing manual entry of expenses, with technology. And instead of coordinating with travel agencies, you could use concur to book and manage your itineraries.

It is not intuitive what-so-ever. Every time you have a new need, it requires someone to teach you how to use it. You take notes and must rely on those unless you use it quite often. There is no information related to after market manual requirements, shipping addresses, dates etc.
