## SAP Concur Reviews
 ### 1. Streamlines Expense Management with Minor UI Setbacks

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nidhi P.

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I like the ability to manage expenses, receipts, and approvals in one system with SAP Concur. It provides good visibility into the status of expense reports, reduces paperwork, and helps streamline the reimbursement process. The automation and document storage features make the process much more efficient and organized. It reduces the amount of manual tracking required, and having everything in one place makes it easier to review expense reports and locate information when needed. The automated approval process helps move requests through the workflow more efficiently and improves accuracy while saving time.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

While SAP Concur is effective for managing expenses, the interface can sometimes feel less intuitive than other modern applications. Certain tasks require multiple clicks, and new users may face a learning curve when navigating the system. The interface can be a bit overwhelming for new users because there are many menus and steps involved in common tasks. Simplifying navigation and providing more guidance instructions would make the system easier to learn and use.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Concur to manage employee expenses efficiently, reducing manual work. It centralizes approvals, improves visibility, streamlines reimbursements, and automates processes, saving time and improving accuracy with proper documentation and consistent record-keeping.

 ### 2. Expense Management

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy K. | Senior Vice President, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The simplification of toold and tasks - really saves me time. Expenses and travel booking. All things that are normally a hassle. In my world I need as much help as I can to make boring tasks run easier.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

3 complaints: Clunky navigation: The platform requires too many clicks, extra drop-down updates, and manual receipt matching.Slow performance: Both the web platform and mobile app frequently feel slow or laggy when loading and processing reports.Glitchy automation: Features like receipt scanning or automated AI tools often misread data or create duplicate claims

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue it helps with is my admin, expense reports and receipt scanning - this is very helpful and lets me keep a record of what is completed and submitted.

 ### 3. Too Many Fields Make Expense Submissions a Pain

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jeff c. | sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It got me paid for all of my expenses but not much more as it was a challenge to work with. I had to fill in so many fields to get paid and it was not intuitive

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

It was a total pain to work with. It had so many fields to complete and nothing populated so it took me so much time to get my expenses paid. In the end, I would just not submit expenses under $20 and pay it myself to avoid the headache

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was not solving any problems for me and was not benefiting me in any way. I thought it was a way to make expenses so challenging that people would not hit up their company for expenses and just cover them on their own

 ### 4. Efficient Expense Management but Needs Receipt Handling Improvements

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** udayakanth k. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I like the travel expense management in SAP Concur, as it helps with keeping track of and auditing travel expenses. I also appreciate the expense reporting and how it enables analysis and reporting across multiple expense types. Additionally, the initial setup was easy, which made getting started with the software straightforward.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Claims history and upload of receipts

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Concur helps in keeping track of audit of travel expenses and provides analysis and reporting across multiple expense types.

 ### 5. Too many changes that are making the system worse

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa T. | Sales representative/business development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It’s easy to use and convenient for use on your phone.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

SAP continuously is updating the system which continues to cause further problems making it more difficult than an expense report should be. It constantly logs me out of the mileage part of the system and I’ve had to go in and enable my automatic mileage update. I’ve had to do that several times as it is not logging in the day of the trip but then triples the mileage when I upload it to the log. I’ve also been told every expense needs to come out as indirect and it automatically downloads it as direct so I have to go into each expense and change it. Just little things like that that cause this system to be a huge headache. I did not have these problems up until the past fees months when they kept trying to update the app.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far they continue to create problems instead of solving them

 ### 6. Frustratingly Slow and Clunky for Expense Reporting

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Nothing

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

I find SAP Concur slow and difficult to use for expense reporting. The photo OCR feature and the user interface are clunky. It's slow to report, and you can only use one expense on the screen at a time. The initial setup wasn't easy either.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Concur handles expense reporting, but it's slow and frustrating to use.

 ### 7. Expense Tracking Helps, but a Horrible UI and Tedious Manual Logging

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

the only thing i like is that THERE IS an application that actually helps to track and log my expenses so i can get reimbursed for stuff. like literally if there was any other application that'd be great

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

everything. the UI is horrible, logging things is extremely manual and tedious with no real assistance. learning how to use it is extremely tacky and unintuitive.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it's helping me log and track my expenses so i can get reimbursed for it in a prompt manner. it also helps me book flights and hotels through their portal.

 ### 8. Unexpected Extra Costs Diminish Value

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

expenses. but everything cost extra which wasnt informed to us at the time of contract signing

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

everything cost extra which wasnt informed to us at the time of contract signing

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

normal expenses

 ### 9. Better Options Out There

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It was nice to have a travel platform to point the employees to. Liked having employees build their profiles - however most travel platforms seem to do the same.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Prices went up after each flight booked. NO group booking. Support took weeks to get back to us and never really gave any fixes to issues just chalked them up to be atlas fault.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They gave us a platform to book travel through instead of individuals booking on their own just through google or the airlines/hotels etc themselves

 ### 10. Flaming piece of garbage. Run from SAP Concur.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2024

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

SAP Concur is impressively consistent – if you're looking for a masterclass in inefficiency, constant page reloads, and software that never works as intended. It's like they took the simplest task, expense reporting, and thought, "How can we make this as slow and painful as possible?" Truly, they've outdone themselves. I wish we’d gone with anyone else because watching paint dry is a smoother, faster process than using this system.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Dealing with SAP Concur is a constant exercise in frustration. The system is incredibly slow, with pages frequently reloading at the worst possible times. What should be a quick expense reporting process turns into a long, drawn-out ordeal where you’re left staring at the screen, waiting for things to load or refresh — if they ever do.

On top of the sluggish performance, the software often just doesn’t work right. Bugs, glitches, and unexpected errors seem to be part of the daily experience. It feels like basic tasks require way too many clicks, and the unintuitive interface doesn’t help either.

Honestly, I can’t help but think we made a huge mistake by choosing SAP. There are better, faster, and more reliable options out there. If I could go back, I’d strongly advocate for selecting a different platform. SAP Concur turns simple expense reporting into a chore, and no one should have to waste this much time on something so basic.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 11. Terrible UI, terrible data functionality

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Getting my expenses paid. Seems to work with business process

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

This software is 15 years behind the competition. Poor UI, heavyweight and slow web app, terrible machine reading. Every week I use it and hate the experience. Mobile app is embarrassingly confusing.

And it would be very simple to fix, nothing complicated here.

Think of the Ms of people who are forced to use it every week and save them 5 minutes.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Geta expenses paid

 ### 12. SAP CONCUR - Not good at all

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Graham G. | Head of IT and Data, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

There is enough features there and it's easy enough to log in.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Support is terrible, I mean really bad. It took 1 year to get implemented properly. There is a complete lack of ownership. We're trying to make a change to the credit card feed now and they want to charge us an excessive amount.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the moment it provides a platform for us to upload receipts to for some of our staff.

 ### 13. Outdated Application Model

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It allows you add colleagues to expenses.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The interface is quite outdated and awkward to use.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT is providing an expense management platform.

 ### 14. The most frustrating AI audit service experience imaginable

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2024

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

There is honestly nothing I like about it other than the "expense it" automated receipt upload from mobile App.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

When an expense report is denied after Concur Audit, the details of why it is denied are too vague and comes from what seems like an automated, robot. I constantly have reports kicked back and pull my hair out trying to figure out what is wrong. I ask for clarification from the auditor and get the same exact, automated response from the "auditor" every time so I don't know what I need to fix. It's impossible to speak with a human. I am on the same report now that has been kicked back to me for the 4th time and it's been almost a month. I had to pay off my entire monthly work expenses out of my own pocket to avoid lates fees while I try to read the mind if the robots vague comment that they will not add context to. I MISS Expensify!!!

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. It's causing me problems. It takes hours away from my work day.

 ### 15. Sap concur AVOID

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron M. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2024

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The automation is a nice idea and the direct deposit is also nice but not worth the poor product and can be done much simpler without the cost or headache of using concur and the lack of support

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Everything. Support and customer service is terrible. The product has lot's of issues and is very glitchy. Getting any support is a challenge and they really don't care to help or figure out the issues. We struggled with it for a few years and finally gave up. When I notifed the employees that we were not going to use concur anymore I got a video back with them all cheering.......

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not at all it was big waste of time and money

 ### 16. Hard to use, not intuitive nor efficient

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** A S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Cannot think of a single redeeming quality about SAP Concur. It works if I'm patient enough to figure it out. Sometimes travel entries from the planning step link correctly to the expense claiming process to save a tiny bit of time.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

My employee forced me to use it to do travel planning and then expense claims after trips and it's difficult to figure it how to enter even the simplest expense entries.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My employee forced me to use it to do travel planning and then expense claims after trips and it's difficult to figure it how to enter even the simplest expense entries.

 ### 17. Antiquated and Slow

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It does allow me to get reimbursed for the stuff that I have to buy not using my company credit card.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The software is slow, the processes are bad, and it just generally isn't a good piece of software.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need money back for stuff I've bought.

 ### 18. Don't Be Takenin by Name

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The primary reason we moved to Concur was to be able to directly reimburse international employees. For that purpose, Concur has worked well. However, that is about the only thing that works.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

We signed the contract back at the beginning of August. After signing, I was told my implementation timeline was not attainable. My team worked overtime to ensure that the platform was ready to go live by our deadline. Once the reimbursement piece was set up, we planned to move forward with implementing the invoice processing piece. Meanwhile, I was told there would be a "delay" in connecting Concur to NetSuite. Nine weeks after signing the contract and practically begging for an update, I was finally told that the NetSuite connector would not be happening until Q2 of 2023. It turns out that half of their NetSuite connector implementation team left, and SAP was under a hiring freeze. The worst part was that all of that was happening while we were signing our contract, but we were still repeatedly told that we would be able to connect Concur to NetSuite. I was very disappointed at the cliche sales pitch of overpromising and underdelivering. Along the way, we were also told that the sales team "left out" from our contract specific platform components that we needed and expressly asked for. This resulted in additional charges weeks after the original contract signing.

In addition to the chaos of just getting the platform up and working, I have found that the support side is sadly lacking in understanding the product and is frequently "unsure" of how to proceed.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To their credit, the platform does allow us to direcly reimburse international employees.

 ### 19. Horrible Service, Lack of Updates

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robyn B. | Dealer Operations Support Rep, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The best thing about the program is the clean interface. It was a very basic design with quick searching capabilities. It was a very basic platform so easy to use for smaller companies.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The lack of support. Our invoices would sit for days causing late payments or we would have to manually do their work for them to process the invoices on time. When we reached out to them on multiple occasions ( almost weekly), they would always have excuses for why they had delays or they would want to charge us more to move us to another level in their system to push us up on the processing level.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sap Concur was assisting us by processing our expense reports and accounts Payable invoices. When it would work it would complete some of the data needed to on our invoices to allow us to speed up our processing of AP.

 ### 20. SAP Concur

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The platform is very easy to navigate for the end users and very easy to submit expense reports.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The implementation was a nightmare, issue after issue, and trying to get the reporting we were told was included but now they want to charge fees for.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None at the moment, we really wanted increased visibility and reporting, but they want to charge us additional fees to get the reporting we want

 ### 21. hidden cancellation policies are deceptive

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Warehousing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The only thing I currently appreciate about it is that I don't have to process manual expense reports.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

They were very deceptive when stating how easily a new feature we added could be canceled.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They don't solve much. "Help" desk just gives canned answers. Very rarely helpful.

 ### 22. Very Difficult to Use

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I really have nothing goo to say about the system.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Our employees found SAP concur challenging to use. We had problems with employees accessing the system to even enter information.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product was supposed to streamline expense reporting.

 ### 23. Worst UX I ever had in my life!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It runs. Well, considering how much I dislake it, this may actually not be a good thing at all.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Everything. The most convoluted UX I have ever experienced. Illogical flow, hidden links, counter-intuitive options... you name it, you get it.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking expenses. I hate using it so much sometime I even avoid claiming back money from the company and pay myself just to avoid it.

 ### 24. Concur Online Booking Tool for Travel

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2017

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Concur is very user-unfriendly and has a confusing interface. Each time I use Concur, I appreciate its features less. I've used Concur at 4 different organizations in the past 10 years, and the interface doesn't seem to have gone through any major improvement updates.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Compared to all the other travel booking tools available to the public, Concur seems like a waste of money for the company as the interface is not designed to be user-friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

Organizations need to explore all other options before deciding to go with this system. There are many options that perform the same functions, but in a much more user-friendly format. Concur is really annoying in that seems to take forever to refresh and update with new booking info.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I see no benefit to using Concur as many alternatives work more fluidly and are more reliable. The only potential benefit is not to me personally, as Concur seems to be a widely-used system across many organizations, so there may be an organization-level benefit.

 ### 25. The app crashes continuously

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Moving expenses more DIY and online with this app is good progress in general and less work load (i hope) for the administration. Sadly, this app fails to deliver.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The app crashes continuously, the current photo-functionality is ridiculous and unusable, plenty of bugs left in the system (too many to list here)/
Basically, as for now, the app is useless from my point of view. What were they thinking when releasing an app full of bugs..

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's causing a lot of frustration as for the moment since our personnel is forced to use it, yet it is useless, slow, trial and error to finally get something in the system without the app crashing.

 ### 26. SAP Concur - clunky

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivy O. | ops manger, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It's a low cost, but otherwise, not much.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The interface is clunky and difficult to use, reviewing previously submitted /approved expenses

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to reimburse and track expenses from employees.

 ### 27. Clunky and not intuitive - needs an update to meet modern needs

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I'm honestly not a fan of this software; I could not outline a single thing I like. Once you get into the habit of using it, you can repeat the same steps robotically without a solid understanding of what you are doing. In that sense, the practice is quick when processing invoices until the next time you open a purchase order. I cannot speak to the other software features as I do not use them on a monthly basis as I do for billing. Maybe this product makes more sense to an account, but after over one year of using it, I have yet to find any redeeming qualities.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The software is clunky and not intuitive to use. It constantly glitches, and it isn't easy to amend entered records. There are multiple ways to make the exact changes depending on which panel you are on. The search feature is also terrible. The organization of vendors is clunky, and there are too many categories to maneuver. If you make a mistake - good luck figuring out how to correct it without getting an administrator involved. Overall, it reminds me of something I would use in the 90s if I just got a computer, and it is well overdue for an update to meet the needs of current tech companies. SAP also often fails out, and you need to clear your cache to use it or come back to the task later.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

I am not an accountant, but I cannot recommend this software for ease of use - I would consider something else but am not familiar with the competing options. I would say to definitely demo the software extensively before committing to make sure it meets your company needs and compare your options.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I process purchase orders and invoices at my company with SAP - I have to use it. I use it to manage service vendors as well as contractors in the company. I have to use it on a monthly basis. The only 'benefit' is that this is necessary to use in order to process payments for vendors and employees, and it's good that they get paid as a result, but the journey is not user-friendly. I've received feedback from accountants using SAP; they also do not like it.

 ### 28. Divvy is THE BEST

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hilary E. | Chief of Staff, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I find the mileage calculation the most helpful.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Everything. It is not modern, and it is difficult to navigate.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expense reporting coding and it is not benefiting me at all.

 ### 29. Terrible Customer Service and Card Link System

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I did not like Concur or the way it works.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

They have terrible customer support. It takes them weeks to reply. Concur never functioned properly and we always had technical issues. It deleted all of our linked cards and would not pull expenses as cards were ran. I worked with technical support for over three months with absolutely no resolution.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They did not help us solve anything so we had to switch to a new program.

 ### 30. This has been one of he worst experiences that we have had with a new product.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Taking photos, adding custom fields (even though you can't print your report with them sorted)

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

I mean pretty much everything. It's not great. The reports are not fully customizeable, if you require anything customized you have to have the business intelligence app. Customer support doesn't know much, they have to look things up in on the website and then have to escalate to a different department who is usually less helpful. My rep told me that the product was fully customizable, emphasized how easy it would be to set up and that just couldn't have been farther from the truth. I've spent hours going through the videos they supplied that seem to not be updated. I'm an office manager, why would I buy a product that I have to spend hours and hours learning about and setting up. I reached back out to my rep and her manager got involved - even more unhelpful if possible. Sent me the same videos and didn't answer half my email. This has been a nightmare. We have 4 employees in germany, i just needed to alter their currency to pay them in Euros - that's a whole different package. The xcel "report" they give you just gives you the total of the report, can't sort the receipts. If you bill clients, good luck. Use a different service.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My staff can save their expenses easily and no more digging through emails to figure out which charge goes to which receipt. However, I've spent more time trying to figure out the app than I did on manually doing expense reports each month.

 ### 31. We begged for help and a better setup representative, no response.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carey B. | IT Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

nothing. Absolute failure to launch. then they continued to bill us after we told them to cancel.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

we disliked EVERYTHING.
The concur setup person wasted weeks of corporate assets and CPA time attempting to set up. Getting a working setup failed.
We begged for help and a better setup representative, no response.
After giving up and needing to move on because we had wasted corporate resources to get the portal working with the app., we found that having the corporate CPA match transactions directly from corporate bank accounts was faster than the failed concur system.
We notified Concur many times via phone calls and emails that we wished to cancel because we never got a working product.
They continued to send collection notices no matter how many times we notified them that we never received a working product.
Now they are suing the corporation for the year they decided to keep billing us after we canceled. We, of course, are planning on vigorously countersuing.
Thankfully the corporate policy retains all phone call recordings and emails in our retention vault.
So the jury will get to sit through hours of corporate employees begging for help and sending notices to cancel after failure to launch.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WE received NO BENEFITS, and are regretting ever giving them a chance.

 ### 32. Disappointing Expense Management Software

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Not much - it's clunky and not intuitive.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

We tried to switch to Concur from another expense reporting software and found that we would be losing multiple capabilities like a credit card reconciliation tool, OCR scanning reading capability for uploaded receipts, and a lack of ability to customize things. We also had issues with the mobile app's functionality. Our activation coach took weeks to research our questions and we had to follow up multiple times to try to get answers to basic questions. This resulted in a months long implementation that we ultimately decided to cancel. We were charged for an additional 3 months of service after we cancelled because of a very questionable 90 day cancellation clause in the order form. After speaking with multiple people, Concur apologized for the issues we encountered but would not budge at all on the additional billings. So, BEWARE of the cancellation clause if you sign an order form.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

I would recommend using another software for expense reporting and management.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no benefits - we were unable to implement the software and ultimately had a large amount of sunk costs.

 ### 33. Do not use this system if you work in the Nordics

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica S. | Lönespecialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Nothing, user unfriendly interface, tons of error blinking messages, you have to login in the app and then in the computer to upload an expense and most of all, completely unable to adapt to Nordic T&E legislation.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Everything, used a variety of system and find this the worse. Do not use in Scandinavia.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Irritated employees, angry managers, frustrated personnel.

 ### 34. Functional, but not the easiest to use

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It has everything in one place, which is nice. We use it for expenses and travel arrangements.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

So many clicks to do anything, fees, fees and more fees for a site that at times, does not make things easier - mainly, expense reports.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consistent expense reporting across departments. Timely reporting and consistent travel arrangements.

 ### 35. Switched from Concur to Center

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Concur has good reporting tools, and that is what I liked best of that platform.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Using Concur was getting costly for our company, so that is what made us look for another alternative.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using Concur to capture credit card expenses made by our employees.

 ### 36. Not very user friendly

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2022

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Syncing transactions with American Express

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Slowness, sync errors when pulling/sending data to Quickbooks

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expense management

 ### 37. Antiquated platform, terrible customer support, awful user experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

There are some accounting benefits, such as the Netsuite integration and being able to auto-ACH to countries all over the world to reimburse employee expenses.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Too much to list, but here goes:
No HRIS connector
No SCIM through Okta (or any other identity management platform)
Huge travel mark-ups
Terrible mobile app
No working customer service chat - plan to use the phone like it's 1990
Basic search functionality for travel is poor, and when hitting "back" it resets completely
No drag and drop for receipts

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only issue that SAP Concur addresses that younger platforms don't is handling so many currencies and employees in so many countries. That's it. And it isn't enough for us to stay with Concur; I'll be retiring it in the next couple of months.

 ### 38. The worst expense management software

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Nothing about SAP Concur is good. It's extremely unintuitive.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Everything. It's literally, the absolute worst.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

Don't use it. Any other expense management software would be better.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. It slows down work and creates problems.

 ### 39. Better Expense Reporting Tools out there

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The ability to add delegates as it related to Executive Assistants and C-Suite Executives is very helpful in getting expense reporting completed in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The user interface is clunky and not very user friendly. There are much easier to use systems

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Was expense reporting. We use different software now.

 ### 40. Slow, inefficient, and so very frustrating

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

One place to do expense reports and book travel, no need to remember multiple sites.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

It is slow. It often doesn't find flights that exist. The back button doesn't work. Uploading more than one receipt is painstaking.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Filing expense reports, tracking employee spend

 ### 41. Legacy solution with limited flexibility, shady billing practices, no ability to cancel service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

We originally though the expense policy management, approvals, as well as travel management would be a great fit for us. Concur even promised to reduce their core fees to $500 USD for the first year to get our company on board. Sounded too good to be true, and boy was it ever.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Expense policy management wasn't flexible enough and would have required multiple subscriptions, approvals were manual and took hours to execute, travel was the kicker though - our team started to find travel and accommodation pricing at better vendors for nearly half the pricing. When we tried to bring this up it was always attributed to "random glitches'. We switched to Expensify and it has been amazing. That was 3 years ago. Now, SAP claims we didn't notify them to not renew for our second year (we have the emails but they claim that since they never responded it doesn't matter). Their lawyer in Minnesota is now threatening legal actions for what appears to be a $3k invoice from the 3 years since we cancelled. I have had 3 calls from him today alone.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for expense policy management, approvals and escalations, and direct billing for travel. The system was too clunky and the expense reports were a monthly nightmare for our sales team. Expensify on the other hand does everything except the direct billing for travel and does it in such an easy to use way. We have not had a single sales person file an expense report late since switching to Expensify and errors are down by over 95% thanks to a much better OCR solution for taking photos of receipts and invoices. Thank god our accountants told us to switch!

 ### 42. Implementation and support is a headache; consider Expensify instead

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

We thought Concur would be a good solution for our small but growing charity based on hearing some positive opinions from another partner.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The implementation process and customization steps are so cumbersome. Getting to the billing panel to even update a credit card number takes 3-4 steps through different interfaces. After realizing Concur won't work with Quickbooks Desktop as easily as we thought, we weren't able to cancel and SAP made us wait 90 days to cancel, even though we requested to hold or cancel our membership several times with unresponsive reps.

We've switched our team to Expensify and it's a breath of fresh air. Live Chat support, a streamlined interface, and no headaches in communication.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

Look elsewhere, Expensify is a modern, hungry, responsive competitor.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We realized no benefit as the implementation process was so complex - and integration with Quickbooks Desktop only available in the USA without a third-party provider - that we gave up.

 ### 43. Difficult to use

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in International Trade and Development | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

That it's a platform where I can submit receipts.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Everything. Difficult to navigate, difficult to understand the different fields.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just the submission of expenses and related receipts. It has to occur on some platform. No benefits. Even doing it manually by sending receipt and writing a blurb to the accounting department would be easier.

 ### 44. Extremely problematic booking & even worse level of customer service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2021

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It’s terrible- site & app crashes often & no one at organization cares to help

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Difficult to book rooms or flights when it’s operational... have to confirm booking a dozen times, but the majority of the time the service does not work at all, and when you attempt to contact customer service, they are rude & asked you not to call them that you are worthy of their service only reserved for the privileged few.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

I would not recommend to anyone

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

 ### 45. Everyday Struggle

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

I believe our sales staff find the mobile app easy

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

The technology is sold antiquated that integrations are challenging, it's not user friendly at all for an administrator, to fix anything requires technical support which is impossible to get

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

Look for a technology that is more updated, user friendly and integration friendly

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Users can submit expense reports and these can be routed through an email approval process, but that's it.

 ### 46. The worst customer service ever

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nancy S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Nothing- this system and the customer support we the worst I have ever dealt with!

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

This system never was connected to our Quickbooks. I spent a lot of my time trying to connect it and it never worked. When I went to cancel our service that we NEVER used I was charged a 30 cancelation. I have been fighting with the sales team to not pay the invoice and they are no help. I have reached out to all of my contacts at Concur and none of them with waive the monthly cancelation fee. Yet none of them could actually get our system to connect.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

Do not use it!

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None !!!

 ### 47. It never works properly

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin G. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

The integrated travel is great, as well as what it was created to do with the expense end. When it works, it does make things easier. The mobile app and tripit integration is very convenient. Policy adherence is a great feature.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

the expense end is constantly kicking errors, and is painfully slow. The pull of charges from a credit card is buggy at best. By the time you are done fiddling with it to make it work, all time savings are gone. Support is a joke and they just open tickets and do nothing hoping the errors will just go away

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

Look elsewhere, there are many alternatives out there that warrant a deeper dive to review, i wish I had.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were attempting to save time, but when you factor in all the errors, support calls and days it just won't load, it is a giant waste. Receipt capture and travel are it's only saving graces.

 ### 48. Really one of the worst application I have ever used

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier C. | Cloud & Platform Tech Leader, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2019

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Nothing. It's very difficult to make an expense report with concur. It tells you to upload some kind of photo with a lot of requirements. You made all as was specified and ... the ticket photo is not upload.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Everything, the UI, the UX is lost. The mobile application is useless because it'll be simple to take a photo and upload it. But no, it's easier to take the photo, send it to the macbook pro through airdrop and then upload it from the web page, it's the summary of my experience with concur.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think that the main purpose of concur is to make the life easy to the people who need to make an expense report. But I think that the Concur team forgot their own vision.

 ### 49. The mastadont of expense reporting

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadia L. | Sr Business Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

It's a known name on the market so many companies go for it.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Where do I begin. Working with Concur feels like using the dial-up internet. It's not 2000s but Concur is stuck in the past. User interface has not been updated and has classic SAP look and feel of 1996. There is no way to search for the menu command. To open a screen, you need to navigate the complex and often illogical pathway stored in your memory. Need to add a new client? 10 clicks. Need to lookup a user - 10 clicks. Concur global support is a joke. Not only do they take a while (weeks) to really resolve an issue but they often break something when trying to solve something. It's been over a year since we established NetSuite integration and we still don't have it working properly. Every time a Concur support rep goes in to troubleshoot they mess up something else (a different batch, country, field). Unfortunately, it's impossible to stay clear of Concur support since they don't release full administration controls to their clients unless you go through their multi day training at one of their offices. Trainings usually happen once a quarter, cost money and fill up quickly. Once you go through the training you only have controls to your current organization UNLESS you chose to pass a certification exam that costs more money. Even after you go through training and receive more controls to avoid the dreared Concur support contact, you still have to deal with them over the integration issues. Concur does not publish their APIs, so you are forced into using their NetSuite connector. Which is one of the reasons we might end us saying farewell to Concur in the future. From the end user perspective, nothing is easy. Concur workflows are not flexible, if an approver leaves the organization, expense reports are stuck in the workflow. Any minor change requires dealing with Concur implementation team, and, you guessed it right, additional fees. You have to pay $2500 for each new policy (think country) even after you go through certification and know how to copy/paste/change the policies. The hidden expense is not the only issue, it takes up to 6 weeks to get Concur professional services team to be allocated to a simple copy/paste project. As a fast moving agile company, we can't afford such slow downs. Concur needs to step their game up and learn how to be a modern app with customer in mind.
As for the travel platform, you still need to sign a contract with a travel company, which makes me think, in the digital age, what is the purpose of Concur travel at all? The rates are often non-competitive, the flight and hotel selection interface is outdated and not intuitive. Most users end up NOT using Concur to book travel in order to get better rates/more convenient search engine.
Travel and Expense modules are separate in Concur, with separate administration areas.
Overall it's very cumbersome and unnecessarily complex.
Which many Concur implementation partners use to their advantage, trying to charge new companies hundreds of thousands of dollars for an implementation (global rollout in our case) that can be well handled by an in-house curious admin and a little research/ back and forth communication with Concur support.

**Recommendations to others considering SAP Concur:**

Stay clear, there are many other much more efficient apps on the market

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Global expense reporting and approval flow. Travel booking in the US and Canada.

 ### 50. Don't Do It - Terrible User Experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian B. | Founder & CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2019

**What do you like best about SAP Concur?**

Other than a helpful onboarding specialist who try as he might, couldn't put enough lipstick on this pig, literally nothing.

**What do you dislike about SAP Concur?**

Everything. The user interface is horrible and outdated. Nothing is intuitive, including accessing previously approved expense reports. Receipt images are difficult to retrieve and impossible to manage. This actually added more work in scenarios where we needed to submit expense reports to our customer. We quickly realized the solution was not for us and moved to Expensify which we find far easier to use and much more geared to smaller companies. But then we got the surprise that a 90 day cancellation period is required so we continue to have to pay Concur - even though we reached out to our original account executive who promised he would help us try to get us out of the 90 day cancellation period. He either did nothing or was unsuccessful - probably a little of both.

The reason we went with Concur is because I used to use it a different company and thought it was good then. Taking pics of invoices and submitting was super easy. Now that I run my own small agency and had to actually dig into the back end, there is nothing intuitive or easy about the interface. My understanding is that when SAP purchased it, they completely changed the platform and made it worse.

**What problems is SAP Concur solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to simplify are expense management process but to absolutely no avail. We realized no benefits with Concur. We have realized these benefits with Expensify.
