Where to start? The system is consistently slow (for reasons that remain unclear) and provides intrusive notifications via e-mail and text message. Further, the travel function does not allow you to book flights in premium economy (for instance) and provides no insight into how hotel rooms are priced. If you search for a hotel by zip code, a new window pops up that takes 20+ seconds to load and does not allow you to submit just a zip code but rather, the zip code and a city etc. Once the hotel results have loaded, the map function is cumbersome and does not provide detail on a street level (akin to Yelp for instance). Furthermore, it is extremely frustrating to get logged out of the system after 5 minutes of inactivity so I would highly recommend writing down the flights/hotel you wish to book before logging into the system as there have been many times where I get booted out and have to go back and reselect my flights/dates/"purpose of trip" etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I used to love the travel tool I haven't used it in a while thanks to the current pandemic but it is amazing that after I was notified that I must be at X location 95% of the time I could do the whole booking process in less than 10 minutes, as for expense management is OK if the charge was made with the company card, otherwise, it is frustratingly slow, most of my expenses are done with the company card so I don't matter that much about it but some of my coworkers hate that. When cloning an expense report that needs to be done monthly the date of the new expense needs to be updated manually most of the time putting the expense one week later of the original instead of one month later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Concur is easy for the end user to use. Because so many companies use it, it is easy to understand it quickly during the onboarding process. I also really enjoy the app. It makes it really easy to do expense reports. This is never a fun process and this product makes it easier. I also liked the travel feature at past companies. For going back to look at expenses, it is really easy too. Overall I would recommend based on ease of use for end users. Invoice management improved a lot in 2020, I really hated doing invoicing in Concur before since it wasn't too reliable, the format usually came in the wrong order when importing it and was faster to manually type it in but right now I mostly review it and submit it, it has become rarer when I have to do a manual intervention. This program is so much easier to use. You can take a picture of receipts related to your expenses and upload it directly into the program. Locating the correct expense to apply expenditures are also a breeze compared to the paper version we had to do in the past. With everything being done electronically, approvals are much quicker as those who have to approve your expense can just click a link they receive via email and then click the approve button. Concur makes it very easy to keep track and submit all expenses from a business trip. It also helps book the travel, as I can see which airlines, routes, flight times etc. will give me the best price that align with what our company prefers. I can also easily capture receipts so I do not have to deal with losing receipts or entering in an incorrect amount. Concur knows when my expenses are from Uber, which saves me a lot of time - I don't have to enter locations, dates, or other relevant info because it all feeds into Concur. Sometimes the amounts that are automatically fed into Concur do not match up. Also, the dates of a purchase vs. when the charge posts sometimes do not align, so it is difficult to change the dates on certain types of transactions. I like that it's a step-by-step program. You can create multiple reports, customize dates, accounts, etc. You attach your expenses to each report, click through the steps, and submit your report. Super easy!
I also love that they have an app where you can take a picture of your receipts and you can automatically upload it to your profile (and attach it to an expense at a later time). Concur works seamlessly on a desktop as well as a smartphone. It is convenient to upload receipts from the phone and use them directly in app or do it at your will on a desktop later. The map feature to calculate mileage is also very useful and adds value. The OCR paired with machine learning to auto-fill expenses from receipts is a real value addition! I use SAP Concur to get my refunds back from my company. The process is easy and quick. The best thing about is that, you can doing it on a web browser and also on your mobile. It has an app. Apps are handy when you have physical receipts to upload. You take a picture , then open the App and upload it directly. No need to transfer it to your email or cloud and load it through the browser. The other feature I like is that the entire software is easy to learn and mostly self explanatory. Information flow is easy to view and all your claims and their status can be viewed. You also get email notifications if there is any update on your claims which makes it easier to track. It simplifies the accounts payable process in a significative way and adds a verification for every movement in a synchronous way vastly reducing the possibilities of a headache in an audit and simplifies the way everything is processed and as long as a vendor is on the system already it can be quickly added, modified or if the amount is the same, reused by copying all values with the click of a few buttons. The lack of personal contact when it comes to solving website problems. I is very automated, so it does not always give you the exact information that you want. The custom reports are cumbersome. The implementation process and customization steps are so cumbersome. Getting to the billing panel to even update a credit card number takes 3-4 steps through different interfaces. After realizing Concur won't work with Quickbooks Desktop as easily as we thought, we weren't able to cancel and SAP made us wait 90 days to cancel, even though we requested to hold or cancel our membership several times with unresponsive reps.
