**Reviewed by:** Hirdesh P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What I appreciate most about SAP Commerce Cloud is its capability to accommodate complex, enterprise-level commerce needs on a scalable platform. It efficiently manages extensive product catalogs, pricing rules, and customer data, which is essential for both B2B and B2C environments. The platform's flexibility allows it to support various channels and customer interactions from a single backend system.

Additionally, a significant advantage is its integration with the wider SAP ecosystem. It seamlessly connects with SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and other SAP solutions, ensuring consistent data across orders, inventory, and customer information. This integration facilitates the delivery of a more seamless and personalized customer experience while maintaining robust backend control.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

One of the primary challenges associated with SAP Commerce Cloud is its complexity. Implementing and customizing the platform typically necessitates skilled developers, which can require considerable time and effort. For teams that are new to the platform, the learning curve can be quite steep. Additionally, performance tuning and system upgrades can be quite demanding. The overall costs related to licensing and infrastructure may also be substantial, posing a potential concern for smaller organizations or those with simpler commerce requirements.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Commerce Cloud addresses the complexities of managing diverse commerce needs across various channels, customer segments, and pricing strategies. It offers a unified platform capable of handling extensive product catalogs, tailored pricing, promotions, and order management, which is particularly beneficial for B2B and large-scale B2C operations.

This integration has enhanced consistency between online and backend systems by directly connecting commerce with SAP ERP and S/4HANA. As a result, orders, inventory, and customer information remain synchronized, minimizing manual efforts and reducing errors. Consequently, the business is equipped to manage more intricate sales processes while providing a more dependable and seamless customer experience.

 ### 3. Versatile Deployment, Challenging Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandra B.

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I like the easy deployment possibilities that SAP Commerce Cloud offers, as it simplifies getting things up and running efficiently in our e-commerce and B2B projects. The wide range of properties available in the product model is another feature I appreciate, as it allows for more flexibility and customization to meet specific business needs. Additionally, the availability of out-of-the-box features that can be enabled via extensions is immensely helpful, as it saves time and reduces the complexity of implementation. The initial setup process is straightforward as well, especially when following the correct guide, which makes beginning with SAP Commerce Cloud less daunting.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I dislike that while SAP Commerce Cloud states that integrations with other systems are out-of-the-box, this is not always the case. We often struggle with the complexity of integrations with other systems.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Commerce Cloud for easy deployment, extensive product model properties, and enabling out-of-the-box features via extensions, solving e-commerce challenges in our B2B projects.

 ### 4. Reliable Solution providing great value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sailesh S. | Associate - M&A Consulting , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

I find the usability of SAP Commerce Cloud very satisfactory as it provides very good solutions and I think it is a very good tool for businesses looking to manage their operations online efficiently. SAP's reliable brand and long-standing partnership offer us confidence in excellent service continuity.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I find SAP Commerce Cloud quite complex to understand initially. The learning curve is significant, particularly when customizing feeds to meet organizational requirements and provide optimal customer experiences. It often demands a considerable amount of time to adapt and get hands-off with various features, which can be challenging if you're not already familiar with SAP's systems.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Commerce Cloud to digitize customer interactions, reducing manual processes and enhancing turnaround times for customer queries significantly.

 ### 5. Seamless Integration, Complex Implementation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxime G. | Procurement Specialist Asia Pacific

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I like SAP Commerce Cloud for its seamless SAP ERP integration, which is quite valuable for handling our internal B2B procurement catalogue. I also appreciate the advanced catalogue management feature that helps manage complex B2B catalogues effectively.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I find the supplier onboarding process complex, which makes it harder to get new suppliers set up efficiently. The initial setup of SAP Commerce Cloud is also a challenge due to its complex technical implementation.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Commerce Cloud to manage complex B2B catalogs with seamless SAP ERP integration.

 ### 6. The Robust Engine Behind an Epic Shopping Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus R. | IT Reporting & Analytics , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

With SAP Commerce Cloud, I felt like we had a robust partner. The platform behaves like a high-performance engine that seamlessly manages an immense amount of products, orders, and traffic. For the end user (the purchasing customer), the experience is seamless and frictionless, which is the most favorable and universally accessible feature. What I like most, and which is extremely beneficial for anyone who works with websites (without being a programmer), is the ability to personalize the customer experience through AI. The platform has built-in tools that allow: AI-powered Product Recommendations: Show customers the products they really want to see, based on their purchasing history and patterns. Personalized Content: I can change entire banners and promotions on the homepage or in specific categories for different customer segments. The user interface for making these changes is intuitive. You don't need to be a developer to improve conversion rates. For a marketing or product manager, this ease of use for delivering hyper-personalized experiences is pure gold.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

Well, the software is incredibly powerful, but precisely because of its complexity and its origins in the enterprise world, it requires highly specialized developers and consultants. It's not that easy to find talent outside the SAP/Hybris niche, and if you do find it, it's usually expensive. In short: implementation and major modifications require a significant investment of time and money, and if you don't have an experienced in-house team, you're heavily reliant on SAP partners. It's not a "plug and play" solution for getting to market quickly.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem we solved was the dispersion of data and complex processes (especially in the B2B environment). We had the product catalog on one side (in a giant Excel spreadsheet), pricing in another system (ERP), warehouse management in another, and the e-commerce website was a silo. This meant descriptions were outdated, prices were incorrect, and managing complex orders (for example, with variants or B2B configurations) was a manual nightmare.

 ### 7. Feedback from My Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajat B. | Head of sales and Client, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

While SAP Commerce Cloud offers a lot of powerful features, I find it can be overly complex for new users. The setup process is lengthy, and sometimes the documentation isn’t as clear as it could be, which slows down onboarding. Customizations require significant development effort, and updates occasionally introduce unexpected issues. Additionally, the cost can be quite high for smaller teams, and technical support response times could be improved. Overall, it’s a strong platform, but there’s a learning curve and some operational challenges to consider

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What I dislike most about SAP Commerce Cloud is that it can be quite complex to set up and manage, especially for new users. The documentation is sometimes unclear, which slows down onboarding and troubleshooting. Customizations often require significant technical effort, and updates can occasionally cause unexpected issues. Pricing is also on the higher side, making it less accessible for smaller businesses. While powerful, it definitely comes with a steep learning curve and some operational challenges.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Commerce Cloud helps solve the complexity of managing large-scale e-commerce operations by providing a unified platform for product content, order management, and customer experience. It integrates different systems seamlessly, which saves time and reduces errors. This benefits me by streamlining workflows, improving efficiency, and enabling faster product updates. It also allows for better personalization, which helps improve customer satisfaction and drives sales growth

 ### 8. Enterprise grade, cloud based but overkill for small enterprises, costs a lot for customizations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neeraj C. | Information Technology Delivery Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

being in retail and working with world's top knotch brands I can say this is one of the best products larger enterprise can use, its feature rich, and out of the box, supports omnichannel and good handling of global catalogues, great with SAP ecosystem integration, great with performance and stable product. supports almost all business use cases, how complex it may be and offers great level of personalization and excellent user experience. customer support is good in many cases

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

again everything boils down to the cost of implementation and managing it, sadly just like other sap products its very costly, it not that easy to implement and use so we can say end users will have to spend a lot of time to learn the system, its you endup using as is good for you else it has too much of customization overhead, again just like other sap products it has upgrades or you can say maintainence burden, you don't have options to run it on any cloud providers you have to stick to azure in many cases, small businesses can't run it due to heavy cost, so meant for bigger cash rich businesses, if comparison to its competitors, its take more time for a store front to go live, unless you have sap in your ecosystem heavy embedded, I will not suggest sap, but again its a real deal if you choose to go with this

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

my client had SAP ( ERO and finance modules) running in his it landscape so I suggested him SAP commerce cloud, we had challenges around B2B contract, custom pricing, multiple channels and larger catalogiue so this products fits well in all use cases,

 ### 9. My experiexce with using SAP for the past 6 months

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Štěpán . | Business Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

I started working with SAP pretty recently, around 6m ago when I, as a consultant started on a project for a telco company in the Czech republic. I have been using SAP and communicating with people using SAP almost daily.
Here are my thoughts:
Ease of Use: SAP Commerce Cloud is powerful but not very intuitive or easy to use at first. The learning curve is steep, especially for new developers or business users. Once configured and customized, day-to-day management is fairly smooth, but it’s definitely not “plug and play.”
Implementation is complex and very time-consuming. You need an experienced team to get it right, and going live did require a significant effort. Prebuilt templates help, but (in my experience helping coworkers) customization is almost always required.
Support from SAP is in my experience reliable and professional, I contacted support a couple of times during configuration and to understand some best practices.
Our company was already in the SAP ecosystem, so integrations (in our case ERP, S/4HANA) are straightforward and smooth. Connecting to non-SAP systems, however, can require more effort and custom work.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

The only downside i can think of is pretty High cost. I guess you can also say that the learning curve is very steep and the complexity of the software is high. When jumping versions or incorporating new modules, migrations or architectural changes can become challenging, especially if many customizations are in play. In certain scenarios (especially with big data or complex problems), response times can lag.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a consultant working with a telco company in the Czech Republic, SAP Commerce Cloud helps us manage complex product catalogs, bundles, and promotions while ensuring smooth integration with SAP ERP. It enables consistent customer experiences across channels and scales pretty reliably during high-demand launches.

 ### 10. Scalable and Robust, But Complex Setup

I like the ability of SAP Commerce Cloud to handle and manage large and complex commerce operations nicely. Its scalability supports business in high traffic situations and the performance is nice.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Commerce Cloud helps me manage large product catalogs, pricing rules, and orders on a single platform. It's scalable, supporting high-traffic commerce operations efficiently.

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What I like best about SAP Commerce Cloud is how flexible and scalable it is. I also like that it’s cloud-based, which makes it easier to update, maintain, and support long-term growth.

**What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?**

What I dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud is that it can be complex to implement and customize at first. It requires strong technical expertise and time to set up properly, which can be challenging for some businesses. However, once it’s up and running, the platform is powerful and provides a lot of value.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From my experience as a consultant, SAP Commerce Cloud really helps businesses simplify their e-commerce operations. A lot of clients come in dealing with scattered systems, messy product data, and difficulties creating a consistent customer experience. What I’ve seen is that SAP Commerce Cloud brings everything into one place, makes integration smoother, and gives them the ability to personalize the journey for their customers. The benefit for me is seeing clients gain efficiency, feel less stressed about their systems, and focus more on growing their business.

**What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves enterprise-scale B2B and integration challenges — complex pricing, product structures, and SAP backend processes all work together in one platform. The benefit: fewer custom integrations, consistent data, and streamlined order flows, which means faster time to market and lower maintenance effort overall.
