I like that aside from creating back end data sources, using SAP BOBJ requires minimal IT work. It is very user friendly and you can write basic calculations. It contains some visual ability but doesn't measure up to other BI visualization softwares out there. There is a limit to how much data you can pull and the larger the dataset the slower this works. One million data limit is a joke and most of the charts are just not intuitive. No data science implementation such as R and Python scripts. I use BI on a daily basis. The analysis for office add-on is what I use at my place of employment which is a pivot table and makes it easy to lay data for analysis. They usually pop up on the bottom left and are rather technical which makes deciphering rather difficult. Again, if the underlying data is flawed the output will also be flawed. Customer support is not good as you expected, call will connect if you are lucky only. Always system is going to be crashed frequently. If we querying the data system may become slow. I'm using this to gather the data from SAP Warehouse to create the report to find out our financial information and high and low performing/selling products. It gives permissions us to gather that the data and put that data into Excel where they can use other tools to create multiple types of visualizations of the data in our monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
