What do you like best about SAP Business Technology Platform?

What I like best about SAP BTP is its flexibility to create extensions for S/4HANA in production planning and quality management without touching the core system. For example, I’ve used it to build custom Fiori apps that streamline quality notifications and automate shop floor reporting. It saves development time, improves user experience, and ensures smoother manufacturing workflows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform?

Some services have a learning curve, but they offer great value once implemented in manufacturing and quality processes.

"SAP Integration Simplified Our Complex Systems"

What do you like best about SAP Business Technology Platform?

I appreciate most about SAP Business Technology Platform is the accelerated time to value provided by the SAP Integration Suite, especially the cloud integration feature. It's a game changer because of its library of pre-packaged content. Instead of building a Salesforce to S/4HANA sync from scratch, I can deploy a pre-configured iflow and simply map the custom fields. I also highly value SAP HANA Cloud for its smart data access capabilities, allowing us to query massive data sets from different sources in real time without the overhead of physical data replication. This plug-and-play connectivity and high-performance data management lets me focus on solving clients' actual business logic rather than wrestling with the underlying infrastructure. What do you dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform?

As mentioned, the steep learning curve can be a headache for any consultant out there is one of the biggest hurdles. Next can be the complex licensing as it can complicate on how we can offer the tool package to our clients. Additionally the UI within the BTP cockpit can occasionally feel fragmented and require unusual amount of clicks to switch between different tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SAP Business Technology Platform: Powerful, Flexible, and Great for Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about SAP Business Technology Platform?

What I like most about SAP Business Technology Platform is that it brings everything together in one place. It makes integration between different systems much easier and saves a lot of development time. I also appreciate how flexible it is, whether I’m building applications, managing data, or using analytics. The platform is quite powerful when it comes to scaling solutions, and once you get used to it, it genuinely helps improve efficiency and productivity across projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform?

One thing I don’t like about SAP Business Technology Platform is that it comes with a fairly steep learning curve, especially if you’re new to the ecosystem. The documentation can also feel overwhelming at times, or not as straightforward as I’d expect. On top of that, the pricing can be on the higher side, which may not be ideal for smaller teams or smaller projects. And because of the platform’s complexity, debugging and troubleshooting can sometimes take longer than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful enterprise platform for building, integrating, and automating business processes"
4/5
What do you like best about SAP Business Technology Platform?

SAP Business Technology Platform stands out for its strong integration capabilities and flexibility across enterprise systems. The platform brings together application development, analytics, automation, and integration under one ecosystem, which makes it easier to build scalable solutions without relying on multiple vendors. I particularly like how well it integrates with existing SAP products while still supporting open standards and third-party tools. The availability of low-code tools, cloud-native services, and robust security features makes it suitable for both rapid innovation and enterprise-grade deployments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform?

The biggest downside of SAP Business Technology Platform is its learning curve, especially for users new to SAP ecosystems. Initial setup, pricing models, and service selection can feel complex and overwhelming. Documentation is extensive but sometimes fragmented, making it harder to find clear, step-by-step guidance for specific use cases. Additionally, costs can increase quickly as more services are added, which may be challenging for smaller teams or organizations with limited budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Infrastructure & Integrations, but a Steep Learning Curve"
4/5
What do you like best about SAP Business Technology Platform?

As an IT engineer, I love how SAP BTP centralizes our infrastructure. The Integration Suite saves hours of manual API setup, and system Performance remains rock-solid during peak loads. The drag-and-drop UI/UX of SAP Build is so intuitive that non-technical teams can easily create workflows. Furthermore, the embedded AI automates complex data tasks, driving clear ROI alongside a flexible Pay-As-You-Go Pricing model. To top it off, Support and Onboarding via SAP Discovery Center made our deployment incredibly seamless Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform?

While incredibly powerful, SAP BTP has a steep learning curve. The sheer number of services can be overwhelming, and the official documentation is sometimes fragmented across different portals. This can slow down the initial onboarding process for junior developers. A more centralized, step-by-step knowledge base would be a great improvement. Additionally, the cost estimator tool can be somewhat complex, making it occasionally difficult to predict the exact monthly expenses for new integration projects before they are fully deployed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform?

One challenge I see with SAP Business Technology Platform is that, while it offers a very comprehensive set of tools, the breadth can sometimes feel overwhelming. The learning curve is steep, especially for new users who need to navigate multiple services and capabilities before they feel comfortable. Additionally, integration across different SAP modules and external systems, though powerful, can be complex and require significant expertise and resources. Cost considerations can also be a concern, as scaling up usage or adding advanced features may increase expenses quickly. "SAP Business Technology Platform – A Powerful Tool for Integration and Innovation"
5/5
What do you like best about SAP Business Technology Platform?

SAP BTP enables efficient integration between SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring seamless data flow across various applications. Its pre-built connectors and APIs significantly speed up the integration process compared to custom coding. By bringing together data management, analytics, AI, and application development on a single platform, it allows for comprehensive management of business processes without the need to switch between different tools. The platform’s analytics and data services support real-time dashboards and KPI tracking, offering clear insights into operations, finance, and production performance. With its low-code environment, BTP makes it possible to quickly build and deploy business applications, even for those without extensive development experience. It is also well-suited for hybrid and multi-cloud environments, enabling organizations to scale and expand without major reconfiguration. Enterprise-grade data security, governance, and role-based access controls help ensure compliance and maintain data integrity. For businesses already using SAP ERP, S/4HANA, or SuccessFactors, BTP offers strong compatibility and consistent data management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform?

Some users have mentioned experiencing occasional lag when working with large analytics dashboards, and believe that the user interface could be more intuitive and user-friendly. The pricing structure can also be hard to anticipate, particularly as usage increases. Furthermore, extra charges for data storage, premium services, or additional users can complicate budgeting. "Robust Platform, Interface Could Improve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Business Technology Platform?

I like the way SAP Business Technology Platform handles users and virtual spaces, which allows for parallel environments to the production environment and evaluating services without interrupting the business. The users allow me to manage work teams, each with a different focus, and have access to the corresponding tool. The ability to separate the production environment from the test environments, but with information similar to that of production, is very helpful. Additionally, I found that the IDEs in SAP Business Technology Platform are more practical and have better integration compared to VS Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Technology Platform?

It doesn't have a good look and feel, it's not very intuitive. To be able to evaluate a service, you have to go to several options, have users for each service, and assign the required roles for the service to run, all of which are in different options of the main navigation menu. It wasn't easy, exactly what I mentioned about it not being very intuitive is what creates a barrier when starting with the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
