This platform is easy to setup and has wonderful support service. All in all it has solution for all finance related operations, be it Finance planning, cash & Asset management, Receivables and payables management and so on. **What problems is SAP Business ByDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was using SAP Business by Design to provide implementation services for finance module (like - tax planning, Asset management, Cash management, Debtors and Creditors management ). The best feature would be the Scoping and Questionnare, there is no large config as SAP ECC or HANA, it includes straight to business questions and a simple configuration. This is what makes it unique that a partner need not always be there for post implementation support. Data migration to a Bydesign system is the simplest as the customer himself can fill out the Excel files given as standard by SAP for Bydesign and upload, as it shows on which line or column the error is. **What do you dislike about SAP Business ByDesign?** Organizational Structure for HCM module should be different as following a MM or SD module structure is a bit difficult for the reporting and utilization part. Sometimes the tab had to be loaded and refreshed a lot to display the changes that were made. It is a product running on cloud (SaaS) 2. Combines the core ERP Functionalities along with CRM, SRM to be grown as a matured product perfectly suitable to SMB market and High-end market (subject to business needs) 3. The UI is designed for easy navigation and runs on HANA DB 4. Easy to customize which enables business to run in short project duration 5. Facilitates easy add-on development. Developers can code the functionality which can be deployed backend. The software used for development is C# which will be converted to its equivalent ABAP code and deployed through API's Note: The above feedback was provided based on my hands-on and add-on deployment earlier. **What do you dislike about SAP Business ByDesign?** Nothing specific I could find now, but can provide later after testing. Note: I have not worked on the latest versions **Recommendations to others considering SAP Business ByDesign:** 1. Primarily look into the client's business process and needs before taking a decision / recommending the product. 2. Although Business ByDesign carries with it the end to end business process still it is better to compare it with SAP ECC / S4/HANA and do a fit-gap analysis before taking a call. 3. Since there is no on-premise solution of Business ByDesign, this factor needs to be considered while talking to business **What problems is SAP Business ByDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?** The product integrates all the core business functionalities and it looked at as a complete solution. The add-on development which was initiated by me and deployed was smooth sailing. Of course, we had some challenges earlier to understand the nuances of the product. ### 29. It's cloud based so no downloads. Once you know it it can create complicated databases. **What do you dislike about SAP Business ByDesign?** Once there is no Internet, your stuck and no work can be done. Quite bugy, canceling documents at certain stages is a nightmare. There are sometimes 3 ways of canceling documents. Vague indications why you can't do certain actions. Using it is not intiuative, unless someone shows you what to do you wownt know how to use it. Every step of a transaction you have to know which tab and sub tab to open. Once you make an order in the system it wownt show you a button to print a pick list. Once you confirm a pick list theres no button on that page to get you an invoice. You have to find an invoice tab print it from there. If your one person tasked with putting an order in, picking it, confirming and then invoicing its a lot of screens to g through. There's a lot to dislike, but this solution is popular because it can work with a lot of businesses and employers don't think about the people that work with this software on daily bases. Software covers accounting, purchases, sales and warehousing + more but I wouldn't call it user friendly in any of its fields. **What problems is SAP Business ByDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used to use it in purchasing, sales and warehousing a a wholesaler, but switched to another program. ### 48.
