"Rapid Test Automation & SAP Integration, But Debugging and Collaboration Need Work"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

Rapid test tooling without waiting on backend teams. With Build Apps I can drag-drop a small UI, bind it to an OData/REST service, and ship a functional “test harness” in an afternoon. Our “Return Order Generator” for QA came from this, zero boilerplate, just data variables and logic canvas.

Process Automation that stitches end-to-end flows. Timers, webhooks, approvals, and RPA steps let me seed data, kick off background jobs, and verify statuses before CI starts UI runs.

Reusable artifacts & clean promotion. Pages, data models, and automations are reusable across projects, and promoting between dev -> test -> prod via transports keeps things consistent.

Governance that doesn’t get in my way. Role-based access, change history, and environment-scoped credentials make audits easy while still letting me iterate quickly.

Observability when something breaks. Run logs, input/output traces, and retry queues make it straightforward to pinpoint flaky integrations during test setup.

Tight fit with SAP ecosystems. OData bindings and BTP integration reduce glue code, which means fewer failure points in test scaffolding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

Debugging complex flows can feel opaque. Step-through is limited, errors sometimes read like “node X failed” without enough context.

Versioning & reviews aren’t as natural as Git. Collaborating and doing code-style PRs is clunkier in a low-code canvas.

Custom code escape hatches exist, but feel bolted on. Great for 90% cases; the last 10% needs more ergonomic extensibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers No-Code App Building, But Watch Out for Connector Costs"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

The best part about this platform is the ability to build an app without much or no knowledge of coding. It enables individuals to implement their smart ideas into a running application. This greatly improves the quality of work and individuals. Like all SAP products , its robust SAP ecosystem promotes the overall functionality and security of this platform. The integration issues faced from 3rd party platform is solved with its vast resources. The realization of objectives is faster and productivity increases by using this platform. The automation created through the application created by this platform allows optimum allocation of resources for better efficiency and productivity. The platform allows monitoring of the workflow very easy which is another plus point of this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

The cost of building powerful application comes with a cost. Though I love most part of this platform, I felt that the cost of building an application may spiral out of the budget with its connector costs. Frankly speaking the user also needs a clear thought out process to build an application. The user should develop a knowledge of each potential integration platform and its applications to enable users to be more effective in using this platform. Since the platform is mostly focused and build around SAP ecosystem, SAP needs to do a continuous update to compete equally with various other individual platform which does its best in their own individual field. "Lots of training available on the web!"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

It's a big name brand trusted by big corporate clients of ours. So we have reassurance of it.

We have been using over 6 years now.

It seems very secure with 2FA and the forget password is easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

It's not user friendly nor intuitive at all.

Also when starting on work. There isn't a save "draft" option. Meaning in the middle of work. You could potentially lose work due to the Cloud based. This can be frustrating and stressful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Workflow Automation for Testers"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

This tool makes life much easier for testers like me. Setting up workflows and automating simple testing tasks is straightforward, and I don’t have to rely on developers or deal with complex coding. The drag-and-drop interface allows me to quickly build functional apps or establish approval processes for my test cases. It’s a real time-saver, particularly when I’m managing repetitive tasks during sprints. Integration with other SAP tools is seamless, letting me access live data whenever I need it. All in all, the tool is very intuitive and genuinely enjoyable to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

At times, the customization options feel somewhat limited, especially when I need to perform more advanced testing or automate tasks that fall outside the usual workflows. While it’s straightforward for basic use cases, things become challenging if I want to connect to external APIs or set up more sophisticated automation—sometimes it just isn’t possible. I’ve also noticed that the documentation is very helpful for beginners, but it tends to become vague when you’re trying to accomplish something outside the standard scenarios. It would be great if there were more flexibility for development and testing teams who want to dive deeper into integration or scripting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient tool for quick process prototypes and internal workflow design"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

SAP Build is extremely helpful for rapidly developing internal prototypes and workflow mock-ups without the need for developer involvement. From an EUDR perspective, it enables us to visualize incremental process improvements, outline internal approval workflows, and experiment with how specific compliance steps might appear before they are actually implemented in SAP or other platforms. The intuitive drag-and-drop interface simplifies the creation of basic dashboards and forms, making it easier for teams to track data movement and understand the flow of due-diligence tasks. This not only saves time but also enhances communication between business users and IT, particularly when we need to confirm new requirements for EUDR processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

Some components remain limited and often necessitate workarounds when constructing more complex scenarios. Integration with other SAP modules is not always smooth, so projects that go beyond basic prototypes typically still need IT support. Performance can fluctuate based on the project's size, and some features could use greater flexibility or more customization options. While it is a robust tool for rapid iterations, it does not serve as a substitute for fully developed SAP applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Great Tool to Build Fast and Collaborate Better"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

What I appreciate most about SAP Build is how it simplifies application development, even for those without extensive coding experience. The drag-and-drop interface is very intuitive, enabling me to quickly create both functional prototypes and complete applications. I use SAP Build several times a week to design process automations and straightforward apps that connect to SAP S/4HANA or SuccessFactors. For instance, I developed a small approval app for leave requests that went live in just two days—something that would have taken much longer using traditional development methods. The implementation process is straightforward, and integration with other BTP services works seamlessly. Whenever I need help with specific components, customer support and documentation are reliable resources. SAP Build not only saves time but also fosters collaboration between business and IT, giving consultants like me the flexibility to deliver fast results without sacrificing quality. What do you dislike about SAP Build?

What I dislike about SAP Build is that, while it’s powerful, it still has some limitations when you need to go beyond standard functionality. For example, creating complex logic sometimes requires custom scripting, and the editor can feel a bit restricted compared to full development tools. Also, the number of available components could be expanded, especially for UI customization. The first setup of the environment takes some time, and if you are new to the SAP ecosystem, it can be a bit confusing at the beginning. I once had issues with versioning an automation project, and it took a while to find the correct solution through documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast App Building and Seamless SAP Integration, But Some App Limitations"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

The fact the software is low code, sometimes no code allowed me to build apps, workflows and pages quickly allowed me to massively speed up delivery to clients. I also liked the seamless integration with other SAP ecostsytems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

Apps with many screens, datasets or heavier formulas could sometimes feel sluggish and over-complicated. The build apps werent always as fast or responsive as a fully coded UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good tool, but still needs some polish"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

I really like how SAP Build makes it easy to create apps and automate processes without needing deep technical skills. The interface is simple and visual, which helps a lot when you just want to focus on solving a business problem quickly. I also appreciate how it connects smoothly with other SAP tools — it saves a lot of time and keeps everything in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

Sometimes SAP Build can feel a bit slow or heavy, especially when working on more complex projects. There are also a few limitations when it comes to customization — some things still require technical knowledge or help from a developer. I’d also like to see more templates and examples to speed up the design process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful low-code tool for rapid automation and development in the SAP ecosystem"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

What I like most is the ability to rapidly prototype and create enterprise applications without the need for deep programming. As a systems analyst, I appreciate the visual drag-and-drop interface, which makes it easy to model business processes and user interfaces. A key advantage is the native and seamless integration with other SAP products like S/4HANA. This significantly reduces development time and empowers business users (citizen developers) to create simple applications and automate routine tasks on their own, reducing the load on the IT department. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

Although it's a low-code platform, the learning curve for complex scenarios can be quite steep. Configuring specific integrations and working with the BTP (Business Technology Platform) environment require certain technical knowledge, and the documentation doesn't always cover all the nuances. Also, for implementing complex custom logic that goes beyond the standard components, the platform's capabilities are limited, and you still need to involve professional developers. "Quick App Building, but menus can be overwhelming"
What do you like best about SAP Build?

I can easily build my apps in a short amount of time and have a lot of building blocks that are available and also easy to use for beginners. The deep dive into SAP Build is also very easy and I am able to perform what I want to do in a small amount of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Build?

Sometimes there are too many options and menus nested underneath each other which can become quite frustrating after some time. Also having many tabs open at the same time is quite common and often necessary which I also do not particularly like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
