I really like SAP Ariba's integration with our SAP ERP, which allows all indirect invoices to be sent through the Ariba Network and ingested into our ERP system. This feature makes the whole invoicing process smooth and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

More visibility to the backend - core functions and features often have multiple and differently abled interfaces for true SAP Ariba personnel vs Customer personnel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Procurement with Enhanced Visibility"
4/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I like the user interface of SAP Ariba and the fact that everything is centralized, which enhances management and functionality. I appreciate how everything connects directly into SAP, covering the back end and providing visibility end to end. The centralization also offers greater visibility and speeds up the approval process and workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

I think there should be more features in the contracting and for risk management, but overall, I'm still happy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Integration, Needs Improvements in the Cloud"
4/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I like the native integration with S/4HANA in SAP Ariba. It connects the strategic part of purchasing with the more operational part, providing traceability to the procure to pay process. I also found the initial installation relatively simple, which took 3 months of the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

the integration of SLP with S/4HANA public cloud clearly needs to be improved Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Supplier Management, Challenging UX"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I really appreciate how SAP Ariba makes collaborating with vendors smoother and provides clear visibility into spending and supplier performance. It helps me handle everything from finding and onboarding suppliers to managing contracts and processing purchase orders, all in one place. I like most that it brings clarity and organization to what used to be a complex, fragmented procurement process. The platform saves a lot of time and reduces the chance of errors by managing suppliers, contracts, and purchase orders efficiently. I especially appreciate the real-time visibility it provides into spending and supplier performance, which allows me to make informed decisions quickly. The collaboration tools are excellent and make vendor communication seamless, ensuring everyone is on the same page. The system simplifies a lot of manual work and makes the entire procurement process much more organized and manageable. Beyond functionality, Ariba’s structured workflows and intuitive interface make even complicated procurement tasks feel manageable, adding value to my daily operations and giving me confidence that nothing falls through the cracks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

While SAP Ariba is a powerful platform, there are a few areas where it could be improved. Sometimes the system feels a bit overwhelming, especially for new users, due to the sheer number of features and modules, which can make navigation and finding specific tools slower than I’d like. Certain reporting functions feel rigid, limiting flexibility when I want to customize views or extract data in a specific format. Additionally, occasional delays in syncing supplier information or updates can be frustrating when I need real-time accuracy. Streamlining the interface, improving the speed of updates, and offering more intuitive customization options for reports and dashboards would make the overall experience much smoother and more efficient. "Great Tool for Requester and Buyer function"
5/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

The Shopping Cart functionality is very easy to use. It supports multiple languages, which makes it more user-friendly. We also find it very helpful for the procurement team, especially for spend analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

The user interface and many of the purchasing flexibilities in SAP S4 are not available. For example, I can’t use multiple vendors in a single PO (i.e., different BPs for goods, tax, delivery costs, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralizes Contracts but Lacks Seamless Data Flow"
3/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I appreciate having a single source of truth with SAP Ariba as a contract repository. It effectively supports full contract to PO life cycle management and provides purchase requisition and PO functionality. Also, I found the initial setup of SAP Ariba to be easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

I think it is a bit disjointed in places. It does not carry data over from SR to WS to CW (or limited fields). Major time sucker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized, Efficient, but 'Clicky' UI"
5/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I like SAP Ariba's Guided Buying feature, which provides a user-friendly, consumer-grade shopping experience that directs employees to preferred suppliers at pre-negotiated rates, ensuring compliance while making purchasing intuitive. I also appreciate the SAP Business Network, which offers immediate access to the world's largest digital marketplace, connecting over 5 million companies. This makes supplier discovery and real-time collaboration seamless across global markets. The centralized data and visibility feature is great, as it provides a single source of truth for all procurement activities, eliminating the need to hunt through disparate spreadsheets or email chains. This allows for better tracking of spend and contract compliance. Additionally, I find the end-to-end visibility incredibly helpful in mitigating risks like supply chain disruptions by enabling real-time tracking of orders, shipments, and payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

I have to improve the slowness issue. The user interface and complexity are problematic. The 'clicky' navigation means the overall user experience is often non-intuitive and overly complex, requiring many clicks to complete simple tasks. Initial setup for SAP Ariba is complex, characterized as a comprehensive enterprise undertaking rather than a simple plug-and-play process. While its cloud-based nature eliminates the need for on-premise hardware, the configuration of business logic remains complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Disciplined Global Procurement with Strong Sourcing, Onboarding, and Contract Governance"
4/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

SAP Ariba’s biggest strength is the discipline it brings to global procurement. At Honeywell, we benefit most from its structured sourcing events, standardized supplier onboarding, and strong contract governance. The platform helps enforce compliance, improves visibility across business units, and centralizes supplier data—making large-scale sourcing and risk management much more controlled, consistent, and predictable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

SAP Ariba’s biggest weaknesses tend to show up in everyday use. The interface feels unintuitive, the navigation is dated, and even simple tasks often take too many clicks to complete. Integrations can also be fragile, particularly when working across complex Honeywell ERPs. Reporting comes across as rigid, and the supplier onboarding workflows feel slower and less streamlined than what I’d expect from modern procurement platforms. "Great Visibility, but Costly and Complex"
4/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

I really appreciate the ease of accounting activity in the platform, especially when dealing with big companies that also use SAP Ariba. I like how the clients' PO issuance and tracking of payment approvals are visible, as this feature is crucial for any accounting platform. The exclusivity of working on the platform just for a specific organization or company is something I find beneficial. Another aspect I like is that all transactions are visible on the client dashboard, which makes it much easier for me to track and manage their accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

I don't like that the subscription fee is costly. There's also too much downtime and the hassle of network certificate renewal is frustrating. The initial setup was quite hard work with each function being complex and the need to navigate too many tabs and pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Invoice Management with Powerful Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SAP Ariba?

Having end-to-end visibility allows me to conveniently monitor purchase orders, invoices, and payment statuses all in one location. This makes it much easier to avoid unnecessary follow-ups and unexpected issues at the end of the month. The invoice automation and matching features, including both 2-way and 3-way matching, have greatly minimized manual tasks and reduced errors. As a result, my team can dedicate more time to handling exceptions instead of routine processing. Additionally, the standardized approval workflows are both consistent and auditable, which enhances our internal controls and supports compliance efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?

The interface is not particularly intuitive, which can be challenging for users who do not use the system regularly. Even basic tasks often require more clicks than should be necessary. When invoices fail or become stuck, the system does not always provide clear explanations, making troubleshooting a lengthy process. Additionally, if integrations with ERP systems are not perfectly synchronized, mismatches can lead to delays in posting or payment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
