## SAP Ariba Reviews
 ### 1. Streamlines Invoicing with Key Tracking Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kati S. | Accounting Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I like how easy it is to pair up invoices with POs using SAP Ariba, and I can easily track what has been submitted and paid. I appreciate being able to see what POs were submitted and filter through them. Each PO has a feature that shows the amount that was invoiced and paid, as well as the amount left on the PO. It also displays details by line item if there are different line items.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

It's not super intuitive on what information is needed or it seems that information is repeated. The tracking of the AR is helpful, but sometimes doesn't make sense. Same with the line items.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I easily pair up invoices with POs and track submissions and payments. I can see submitted POs, filter them, and view invoiced and paid amounts, even by line item.

 ### 2. Revolutionizes Procurement with Global Supplier Network and Streamlined Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hirdesh P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

SAP Ariba is distinguished by its operation as a substantial business social network, facilitating immediate connections to millions of suppliers. Rather than engaging in manual vendor searches, users can leverage the Ariba Network to identify, evaluate, and collaborate with partners globally. This innovation transforms the procurement process into a more user-friendly experience reminiscent of Amazon-style shopping, empowering employees to procure from optimal sources at competitive prices.

The primary advantage of this system lies in its significant alleviation of paperwork and the reduction of manual errors. By automating processes from initial sourcing to final payment, SAP Ariba helps ensure corporate compliance and generates cost savings, all without necessitating extensive oversight of individual purchases. This transition from a traditionally sluggish and chaotic process to an efficient digital workflow provides comprehensive visibility into financial expenditures.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

A prevalent criticism of SAP Ariba pertains to its user interface, which many users describe as cumbersome and lacking intuitiveness in comparison to contemporary consumer applications. The navigation across different modules often necessitates excessive clicking, while the substantial learning curve indicates that extensive training will likely be required for team members to attain a level of comfort with the system. Given that it operates as a large, standardized cloud platform, users may experience limitations in customizing specific workflows to accommodate unique business requirements, often encountering technical obstacles in the process.

Moreover, the intricacy involved in the initial setup and the integration with other systems represents another significant challenge. Although designed to be compatible with SAP, the integration does not always proceed smoothly, commonly necessitating the intervention of costly consultants to resolve issues related to data discrepancies or synchronization errors. Furthermore, because the functionality of the system is heavily reliant on supplier engagement, smaller vendors may exhibit reluctance towards participation, finding the registration process for the Ariba Network and associated fees to be excessively burdensome, which could hinder the achievement of complete digital procurement.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba addresses the issue of “dark purchasing,” where employees resort to procuring goods from unapproved sources at inflated prices due to the lengthy official procurement processes. By offering a user-friendly, “Amazon-like” shopping interface, it guides users toward designated suppliers and existing contracts that have been previously negotiated. Furthermore, it streamlines operations by digitizing the entirety of the procurement cycle—from sourcing to payment—thereby minimizing the disarray associated with manual paperwork and prolonged email communications. This digital approach helps in preventing human errors and guarantees that all expenditures are effectively monitored and compliant.

The advantages for users include a substantial decrease in administrative burdens and unauthorized spending. Users also gain immediate access to a vast network of over five million suppliers, facilitating the identification of reliable partners or the ability to swiftly change vendors in response to supply chain disruptions. With the system’s automation of routine processes such as invoice verification and risk assessment, team members can shift their focus from data entry tasks to making strategic decisions that contribute to cost savings for the company.

 ### 3. Agile invoice processing and easy-to-understand approval flow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yostyn C. | Recruitment Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

It is very agile when processing invoices, has an approval flow that is easier to understand, and the way of notifying the resolution is very practical.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

When making a modification to the order, the entire approval flow is returned. It should allow the option to proceed and thus not delay the process.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The order of the procurement process with quotations and invoicing, a great way to document our processes and avoid manual errors; it is a great tool.

 ### 4. Intuitive UI and Powerful Mass Updates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I like the user interface, mass update capabilities and easy of use. I like that I have both sourcing and contracts in same system without the need to log in to another system.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I wanted to have the possibility of more alignment with ECC/S4 fields so CLID experience can be improved, and integration be seamless. I will also will like that all fields (OOO and custom) be automatically reportable without any additional configuration. Finally if PO linked to contracts can be easily edited no matter if we version a contract.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba is a solution for streamlining the process from sourcing to purchasing, interacting with suppliers for sourcing events, getting contract signed a stored in a single location, purchasing against contracts.

 ### 5. Efficient Sourcing, But CI/CD Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pravallika Y. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I find the sourcing and buying modules in SAP Ariba good if used effectively. It's easy to create an RFP event and make purchases using catalogs, which is a feature I appreciate.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I think the CI/CD pipeline isn't great because all changes need to be made twice in the test and production realm.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Ariba for sourcing, buying, and vendor onboarding. It's easy to create RFP events and purchase using catalogs, and the sourcing and buying modules are good if used.

 ### 6. SAP Ariba - One stop software for lead generation to final invoicing and more

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathy F. | Operations, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

The SAP commerce cloud is very user friendly to implement, with a variety of training features available for first time users. As this is a recent role change, we have been using the system weekly as we continue to set up our information, but have already seen leads come in. We have not had to reach out to customer support at so far, information requirement have been extremely easy to use. In comparison to other 3rd party software, SAP Ariba I have found to be one of the easier systems to use, if not the easiest.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

They do ask for quite a bit of organization information but that is expected. The catalog for added or updated products could be easier to use, but does allow for uploading information via files.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP has enabled us to reach a broader customer base through the Ariba network for purchasing. Additionally, we are discovering new lead opportunities with customers who were previously unfamiliar with our business and the services we provide.

 ### 7. Good Product but Overly Complex to Manage

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

End to end functionality and flexibility to configure to suit most needs from simple to complex.
Added benefit is that it is part of the SAP Suite of Products so easy to implement and integrate with other SAP Products.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

The User Interface in general is not intuitive and difficult for the intermittent user to follow or operate in.
Overly complex configurations cause difficulties in maintenance. Lesson learned to keep workflows limited and simple.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Supplier Onboarding Risk Management following one global process in one tool. API functionality needs to be developed further. Efficiency benefits from one SRM and onboarding platform.

 ### 8. Powerful Procurement Automation with Vast Supplier Network

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivam K. | CA, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

powerful sourcing-to-pay automation, vast supplier network for collaboration, enhanced spend visibility, and strong compliance features, streamlining procurement from finding suppliers to payment, though some find the interface dated

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

complex, non-intuitive interface, slow performance (especially for suppliers), outdated technology compared to rivals like Coupa, poor user experience (too many clicks, hidden functions), and issues with backend processes like bug fixing and slow deployments, leading to frustration, inefficiency, and calls for better customer support and training.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba solves procurement chaos (manual processes,

lack of visibility, compliance risks) by offering a cloud- based network for automated sourcing, buying, and supplier management, benefiting businesses with cost savings, efficiency, better supplier relations, and control through real-time data and streamlined workflows, allowing procurement teams to focus strategically. For you, this means easier purchases (guided buying), faster approvals, less paperwork (automated invoices), better spending control, and access to a vast supplier network, leading to a smoother, more strategic procurement

experience.

 ### 9. Effortless Spend Analysis with Easy Configuration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vasant b. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

I like that SAP Ariba is SaaS-based and offers easy spend reporting. It helps with spend analysis and tracking month-to-month spend, which is useful for compliance with organizational and SOX standards. The configuration is easy, making it straightforward to set up.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

Nothing specific

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Ariba for spend analysis, which makes compliance spend analysis easier and allows us to track month-to-month spend. It's SaaS-based and offers easy spend reporting, which supports organizational and SOX compliance.

 ### 10. All-in-One Procurement Platform That Simplifies Complex Processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose V. | Supply Chain Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

What I liked the most of ariba is the possibility of having all procurement and sourcing functions in a platform. From Supplier Relationship management, spend management until catalogues. It makes the life easier, specially in big companies subjected to quality regulations and help all end users to have a clear view of the processes and status. I specially appreciate the contribution via catalogues. Also the nexts step of ariba, Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration and having connection with S4H, makes things easy for following up orders, status and having all the information in the system.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

The bad part of Ariba is having to deal with suppliers during onboarding. Some of the are not experienced or do not want to use the platform and you need to convince them of it.
Also that some times you need support from technical team to solve some issues such as PO's that are stacked. From my perspective, it should also activate the possibility to send more elaborated PO in PDF format as the standard one is quite simple and not very customizable.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to have track of suppliers, qualify them, evaluate risks, keep a spend analysis distinguishing by categories, users, company codes. Invoice management some times is causing issues but when it works and suppliers submit the information as requested it speed up payments and relationship management.

 ### 11. Extensive Vendor Network, But Complex Setup

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I like the sourcing portal for buyer management in SAP Ariba. It has a lot of vendors available in the network, which gives us a wide range of network vendors that can participate in our RFP.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

It's not user-friendly, with a lot of steps to be done. The initial setup was not straightforward, especially when creating the RFP template. We cannot create an additional template or adjust some settings as it has to be done by a partner.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba should solve our sourcing request for project proposal. I like the sourcing portal for buyer management and the wide range of network vendors available for RFP participation.

 ### 12. Great Cloud Tool and Processes, but Bugs and Slow Support Hold It Back

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kai G. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

Cloud tool, standard processes, but overview. We are looking forward to the next gen experience. Currently the contract and supploier lifecycle process is good

outdated platform, manz bugs and issues we are facing. Support sometimes slow. so many different user interfaces and sometimes really not user friendlz

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

updating master data of suppliers, having a portal where suppliers can connect to. Do registrations of suppliers for different processes. Making contrats

**Reviewed by:** Md R. | Strategy Specialist – Operations & Process Improvement , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I appreciate how SAP Ariba offers a well-organized and transparent procurement environment. By centralizing sourcing, contracting, and supplier management, the platform simplifies monitoring spend and maintaining compliance. Its automation of complex procurement workflows, seamless integration with SAP ERP, and comprehensive visibility throughout the purchasing process are particularly valuable. While the interface may require some initial familiarization, it becomes intuitive over time. Additionally, the extensive supplier network greatly facilitates collaboration and streamlines vendor onboarding.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I appreciate how SAP Ariba offers a well-organized and transparent procurement environment. By centralizing sourcing, contracting, and supplier management, the platform simplifies the process of tracking spend and maintaining compliance. Its automation of complex procurement workflows, seamless integration with SAP ERP, and comprehensive visibility throughout the purchasing cycle are particularly valuable. While the interface may require some time to get used to, it becomes intuitive with experience. Additionally, the extensive supplier network greatly facilitates collaboration and streamlines vendor onboarding.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba addresses several key procurement challenges by consolidating sourcing, contracting, and supplier management into a unified, standardised platform. This integration removes the inefficiencies associated with manual purchasing, minimises errors, and promotes compliance through well-defined approval workflows and comprehensive audit trails. The platform enhances transparency by providing real-time insights into spending, supplier performance, and contract status, making it much easier to spot risks and uncover cost-saving opportunities.

By automating routine tasks and centralising data, SAP Ariba significantly boosts operational efficiency and accelerates procurement cycles. ### 14. Intuitive and Well-Organized User Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

The user experience is excellent. All the options are intuitive and well organized, making it easy for me to find what I need. I can quickly select items from specific categories such as office supplies and even catering. Also the transition from our previous tool was also quite simple and it came for the better.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I don't have any specific complaints, but I would appreciate more options to customize the app according to my personal preferences, especially for items I tend to order more often.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made the process of ordering office supplies and reagents for our lab much simpler and more organized. Now, everything is centralized and easy to track, so everyone in the group can see when and how to order what they need.

 ### 15. Easy Integrations, Strong Compliance, and Streamlined Invoice Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

Easy for the integrations and good for compliance, and automating paperwork like purchasing orders and invoices is also a great feature for the finance team to process.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

The User interface and User experience are not that great. The design and the layouts look outdated. The price is a bit high compared to other competitors.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba has been integrated with other systems, like SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics. Automating paperwork speeds up the cycle and frees up the procurement team for more strategic work.

 ### 16. SAP Ariba Brings Sourcing and Procurement into One Transparent Hub

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

What I like most about SAP Ariba is how it brings everything into one place. It makes sourcing, supplier management, and procurement much more transparent and structured, which saves time and reduces back-and-forth. I especially like the visibility it gives over spend and suppliers, as it helps teams make better, more informed decisions rather than relying on scattered emails and spreadsheets.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

One challenge with SAP Ariba is that it can feel quite complex and not always intuitive, especially for new users. Some tasks require multiple steps to complete, and the interface can be less user-friendly than I would expect. It can also run slower than simpler tools, which occasionally affects efficiency.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba helps solve fragmented procurement by centralising sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing in one place. This improves visibility, cuts down on manual work, and supports consistent, compliant processes, making my day-to-day work more efficient.

 ### 17. Streamlines Complex Energy Procurement Processes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Radhouane B. | Principal, Energy Strategy & Market Intelligence

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I appreciate SAP Ariba for effectively eliminating the chaos often found in managing complex Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Excel. The structured bid formatting in the strategic sourcing module greatly aids in normalizing data and running scenario analyses on pricing formulas, which is critical when suppliers offer various pricing structures. I love the seamless integration with Microsoft Fabric, which is vital as I lead the migration of energy procurement processes. This integration allows for enhanced automation, drastically reducing forecast bias and expediting decision-making processes. The capability to perform rapid 'what-if' simulations, such as anticipating a 20% spike in gas prices, significantly boosts operational agility. Moreover, the automated watchdog feature for supplier insolvency is invaluable, streamlining what was previously a manual and tedious process. The synergy with Jira for infrastructure projects is another highlight, as it ensures procurement milestones are updated automatically, thereby enhancing project tracking and management efficiency. Overall, SAP Ariba's integration capabilities and process automation drastically enhance its utility in managing a high-value energy portfolio effectively across multiple sites.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I think that SAP Ariba is not built for energy complexity and has high friction for supplier onboarding. My portfolio includes some niche players, like a small solar park operation or localized biogas plant, that are not professional organizations. I want to see improved a simplified low-friction portal specifically for renewable asset owners. Handling complexity means SAP struggles with dynamic formula-based pricing typical for energy contracts. I want to see improvements by allowing us to link a line item directly to live market indices like TTF Gas or EEX Power via API rather than updating a static number manually.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Ariba to standardize bid formats, reducing errors and improving decision-making in strategic sourcing and contract management for energy portfolios. It integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Fabric and Jira, automating forecasts and procurement updates, enhancing operational efficiency.

 ### 18. Streamlines Invoice Processing with Customizability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrei B. | US Claims Specialist

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I find SAP Ariba incredibly valuable for its ability to streamline my invoice processing and reconciliation tasks through its faster invoice posting capabilities, leading to enhanced overall efficiency. I love the friendly user interface, which makes it easy to navigate and perform tasks, even with only basic access. Additionally, the system's intuitive design means I can navigate and use it with ease. The customizable features stand out to me; SAP Ariba allows me to tailor it according to my company's specific needs, ensuring that we can meet bespoke customer and vendor requirements by adding or creating special fields for invoices, such as PO numbers, invoice details, and materials. Another key advantage is its seamless connection to our SAP database and transactions, which adds to its functionality. Setting it up was smooth, especially after the initial access was granted, allowing customization of searches and the main page, which enhances the user experience further. Overall, I am impressed by its practical tools that not only enhance productivity but also adapt to our diverse business needs efficiently.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

Sometimes, SAP Ariba can be laggy, and posting an invoice directly in SAP is easier. Invoices can get stuck or parked and require manual input in MIRO or MIR6 transactions. The synchronization between SAP Ariba and SAP needs improvement. SAP Ariba requires more access to certain SAP fields to prevent invoices from being blocked in the process.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba improves invoice processing speed, has a user-friendly interface, and integrates with SAP for automated tasks. It allows customization to meet company-specific needs, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in handling invoices.

 ### 19. Accessible Platform, Needs Better Document Management

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I like how accessible SAP Ariba is and the way it can connect to other systems if needed, even if they aren't SAP. This helps keep everything smooth and updated across teams.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I have some issues with SAP Ariba, like the lack of control around document storage. Also, the ability to tag documents is a bit problematic because I can’t always find contracts that weren't originally mine.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Ariba as our primary contract document tool. It solves the lack of control around document storage and keeps things smooth and updated across teams with its accessibility and system connectivity.

 ### 20. Streamlines Spend Visibility and Control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmeen D. | Paralegal

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I appreciate SAP Ariba for providing better visibility of our spending by ensuring that everything goes through a controlled process with approved items and suppliers. This control helps us adhere to negotiated contracts effectively. I also love how the contract terms are embedded directly into the buying process, which means when a contract is created in SAP Ariba, key elements like pricing, approved items, and service levels are linked to the procurement system. This integration ensures that when end users raise a requisition, SAP Ariba automatically pulls the contracted prices and supplier details, preventing purchases outside of agreed terms. This functionality has greatly enhanced our procurement efficiency and compliance.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

While SAP Ariba enforces contracted items effectively, it heavily relies on suppliers to keep their catalogues up-to-date. If suppliers do not refresh prices or products regularly, compliance may slip. This dependence on accurate and current supplier catalogues can pose challenges in maintaining consistent compliance with agreed terms and conditions.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Ariba to address uncontrolled spending, ensuring better visibility and control through approved suppliers and contracts, helping my team adhere to negotiated terms effectively.

 ### 21. Efficient Centralization, Performance Can Improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo P. | IT Delivery Associate

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I really like the process automation that SAP Ariba offers, as it truly optimizes time and tasks in my daily routine. Traceability is also a feature I greatly appreciate, as it allows for enhanced control and centralization of information through a single platform, making it easier to manage suppliers and control orders and contracts. These functionalities significantly contribute to efficiency and effectiveness in daily operations.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I encounter difficulties in integrating SAP Ariba with internal systems, which can be an obstacle to operational efficiency. Additionally, the system's speed sometimes leaves much to be desired, which negatively impacts productivity. It would be desirable for the platform to be more user-friendly, facilitating its daily use.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Ariba to centralize information, optimize time, and manage suppliers, orders, and contracts. The automation of processes and traceability are valuable for my daily routine.

 ### 22. Best solutions for Procurement, Supplier management and spend management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

If you are new to Ariba, you might feel that it’s complex to implement and may sometimes face integration-related issues. However, these aren’t ongoing problems; once they’re resolved, it’s good to go.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a very powerful tool for improving procurement efficiency through supplier management and spend management. I’ve found it useful for cost reduction as well as stronger supplier collaboration.

 ### 23. Enhancing Spend Visibility and Supplier Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** saleem s. | Customer support excutive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

What I like best about SAP Ariba is its ability to streamline and automate procurement processes through a single, centralized platform. It improves transparency, enhances supplier collaboration, and ensures compliance, making purchasing more efficient and well-controlled.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

There are no major drawbacks with SAP Ariba. While it may take some time to fully explore and understand all its features initially, this learning curve reflects the platform’s depth and capability, and it ultimately adds strong value once adopted.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

Ariba makes my job easier by putting everything in one spot. I love the Guided Buying—it’s like Amazon for work. It saves me from hunting through spreadsheets or worrying about policy compliance!

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

Ariba can be a total maze. Sometimes I just want to submit an invoice, but I get stuck in a loop of 'required fields' and slow loading screens. It’s powerful, but it definitely tests my patience!

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Ariba, I had to remember which vendor we used for laptops, who did the office cleaning, and what the budget limit was.
The Problem: Worrying about "getting in trouble" for buying from the wrong place.
My Benefit: Guided Buying. It’s basically a catalog of "Approved Stuff." If it’s in the system, I’m allowed to buy it. I just click, and the compliance is handled behind the scenes.

 ### 28. Weighing the Pros and Cons of SAP Ariba

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** meera anna c. | Corporate Recruiter, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I appreciate the centralization and efficiency that SAP Ariba introduces to the entire source-to-pay process. By shifting procurement away from fragmented systems and manual paperwork, the platform offers a unified, cloud-based network where all stakeholders—from sourcing through invoicing—can collaborate smoothly. This approach not only streamlines workflows and speeds up approvals, but also delivers comprehensive spend visibility and enhances supplier management. In the end, what stands out most to me is how SAP Ariba turns a traditionally complex function into a strategic, automated, and globally connected operation.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

One of the main drawbacks of SAP Ariba is its complexity and the often-criticized user experience. Although the platform offers robust features, it can feel cumbersome and unintuitive, demanding a significant learning curve and requiring numerous steps to accomplish even basic tasks. Additionally, implementing and integrating SAP Ariba with third-party, non-SAP systems tends to be both complicated and costly. Suppliers also frequently express frustration with the transaction fee model that the system sometimes enforces, seeing it as an unnecessary burden when conducting business with their buyers.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba addresses the challenges of fragmented and manual procurement and financial processes by bringing the entire source-to-pay cycle together on a single, integrated platform. In my experience, this has led to improved spend visibility and increased efficiency. The platform automates essential tasks such as generating purchase orders, matching invoices (including three-way matching), and routing approvals, which significantly cuts down on manual work and reduces errors that were common with paper-based systems. By centralizing and automating these processes, I spend less time tracking down documents and more time on strategic sourcing. This shift not only enhances compliance but also results in substantial cost savings through negotiated contracts and consistent use of preferred suppliers.

 ### 29. Powerful Procurement with Room for User Experience Improvement

**Reviewed by:** Mantasha A. | Marketing Head, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I find SAP Ariba's sourcing module immensely powerful, particularly appreciated for running RFPs, RFIs, auctions, and leveraging AI-driven suggestions to identify the right suppliers. The single screen event creation is a feature I like very much, as it allows me to deploy sourcing events quickly. Additionally, the setup was straightforward and involved basic information, which made the initial experience quite positive. I plan to evaluate my ROI from automation with SAP Ariba, as its automation capabilities, particularly in invoicing approvals and exception handling, can reduce headcount or significantly speed up processes, indicating a strong buy signal for me.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I find the user interface of SAP Ariba to be slow and unintuitive, with clunky navigation. Improving the user experience significantly would enhance my overall satisfaction with the product.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Ariba for strategic procurement, complex vendor negotiations, and invoice automation, streamlining our sourcing with powerful modules, AI-driven suggestions, and quick event deployment, which significantly boosts efficiency and decision-making.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

Nothing! This is the worst platform! There’s nothing good to say for those of us that use it to enter invoices for payment. AP is ok using it as they just have to pay and have limited information they put in the system.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

Everything. It’s not user friendly at all! You have to enter a lot of information and it’s not clear as to what actually needs to be added. Even vendors hate it.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One platform to have employees enter invoices for payment. It only benefits AP and everyone else hates it and tries to avoid at all costs. It’s really the worst!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ángel Q. | ETF and Mutual Funds Analyst - French Markets, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Ariba?**

I’d give it a 7/10 because what I like most is how it centralizes procurement in one place. It makes it easier to manage suppliers, track spending, and keep things organized instead of juggling spreadsheets or different systems. It saves time, and the visibility it gives into the process is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

I’d say the part I dislike is that the interface isn’t always intuitive. Some processes feel more complicated than they should be, and it can take extra clicks or steps to get simple things done. It works well once you get used to it, but the learning curve is steeper than I expected.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba offers a robust solution for procurement and supply chain management, streamlining processes such as sourcing, contract management, and collaboration with suppliers. At times, the system tends to be slow, and I find its interface not particularly user-friendly. Setting up integrations and configuring the platform can be quite complicated, which may make navigation challenging for new users unless they receive adequate training.

**What do you dislike about SAP Ariba?**

The platform is feature-rich, but that also makes it feel heavy and unintuitive. Simple tasks like finding purchase orders or resolving invoice issues can take more steps than expected, especially in large enterprise setups.

**What problems is SAP Ariba solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Ariba is mainly solving problems in enterprise procurement and supplier management—areas that are traditionally fragmented, manual, and hard to control at scale.

SAP Ariba addresses several key challenges in procurement, significantly benefiting our organization. One of the primary problems it solves is the lack of visibility into spending and supplier performance.
