We STILL DONT HAVE AN ON TRACK OPTION!!! I have been begging for our Hi Rail vehicles that can travel on both the road, and the rail to have a special option or settings for when they set their vehicles on the Rail Road Tracks. Right now our drivers get so many in cab alerts (and ones we don't want to turn off) but its for things they don't have to follow while on track (i.e. cell phone usage is allowed, not wearing a seatbelt, distractions). I appreciate that Samsara provides security to our drivers and users with dash cams for our fleet. Samsara was very helpful during the RFQ process, being very timely in providing all the information we needed. They also provided specifics and helped us set up a demo to try the product, which was very beneficial for the company to understand how the product worked and verify it was the right purchase for our needs. The simple, highly customizable dashboard that can be tailored to provide employees with the information pertaining to their specific responsibilities is great. The intuitive onboarding process got that information to those employees immediately when we went live. When we signed the agreement, our primary objective was knowing where key assets were physically located, Samsara gave us much more. They are constantly updating and releasing new features, UI is user friendly and intuitive for the most part. The technology itself is powerful and works well. I work in Safety so i cannot speak on the technological integration aspect nor billing. The support can be lacking at times, sometimes follow up from Customer Support is slow or requires active pursuit from customer end. We had previous issues with Account Executives that didnt really do anything for us however we have since resolved that issue. I find Samsara's cameras essential for safety, helping us maintain a strong safety program. The platform is great at ensuring our drivers follow traffic rules and watch their speed. There are some aspects that could be improved in the management of DVIR. Sometimes, an operator reports several defects in a single inspection and, even though only some of them are repaired, the system may show the DVIR as closed.
