"Proactive Fleet Tracking and Simple Compliance Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

What I like best about Samsara is how intuitive the HOS management and real-time tracking are. It makes it very simple to manage driver logs, correct duty statuses, and assign new vehicles or gateways to the fleet. Also, having the ability to easily configure and apply exceptions like 'Adverse Driving Conditions' from the system—giving our drivers a critical buffer when unexpected delays occur on the road—greatly improves our daily workflow and keeps us in compliance. What do you dislike about Samsara?

The mobile administration experience has some limitations. The Samsara Fleet app has fewer features than the desktop site, and accessing the web version through a mobile browser often forces a mobile layout that hides critical admin tools, such as applying HOS exceptions like 'Adverse Driving' or managing specific settings on the go. "Enhances Fleet Management with Accurate Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

I use Samsara for tracking, HOS, maintenance logs, and cost-effectiveness. I appreciate its live sharing capability and the ability to track driver stops and duration, which helps improve our performance and accuracy. The platform allows us to check sensors on truck trailers and their fuel levels, which aids in planning routes, pickups, and deliveries. Samsara's live tracking GPS and driver alerts on dash cams are beneficial, and I find that the AI is somewhat useful. Although the initial setup was a bit easy, the performance of Samsara is way better compared to what we used before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

I find the live weather tracking is lacking, and the slow loading times can be really frustrating. Sometimes it takes 5 to 10 minutes to load, especially on busy days. The main screen feels cluttered with too many things, and I wish there was a way to remove some of them to make it simpler to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Fleet Management Made Easy with Samsara"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

I like Samsara for its real-time GPS tracking, which helps us monitor vehicles, provide accurate ETAs, and respond quickly to delays. The user-friendly interface makes daily tasks simple, and the reliable fleet management features improve efficiency and save time. The initial setup was straightforward, and the platform was easy to configure, allowing our team to start using it with minimal training. Overall, I find Samsara reliable, easy to use, and great for fleet management, which is why I would rate it 9/10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

Sometimes the platform can be a bit slow, and some reports or settings take a few extra steps to access. Improving speed and simplifying navigation would make the experience even better. The platform would be even better with faster page loading, quicker report generation, and a more intuitive menu layout. Adding customizable dashboards and reducing the number of clicks needed to access frequently used features would improve productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Accurate and Easy-to-Use Fleet Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

I appreciate Samsara's accuracy of the available hours for each driver and the ease of communication. Locating trucks is straightforward, and getting load information, route details, and safety reports is seamless. The hours of service (HOS) feature is crucial for assigning new loads to drivers to ensure timely deliveries. I find the safety reports very helpful in keeping up with speeding, violations, harsh braking, and distracted driving. The initial setup of Samsara was very easy, making it a smooth transition from previous systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

I do wish that each dispatcher had the option of tracking their trucks only without having to select them individually every time. Each dispatcher has 30 trucks, and to be able to log in and click your name and only see your assigned trucks would be awesome. We have over 800 trucks, and every time we have to go in and select each truck individually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Dashboard, Unmatched Fluidity"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

I like the Samsara dashboard because it is easy to use and comprehensive. It has more features than expected and they continue to develop more. I also appreciate the fluidity and intuitiveness of the system. I find it easy to manage, locate units, and filter information without needing to be an expert. The initial setup was super easy and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

It frustrates me that many features have an extra cost. Also, I think the camera should have its own memory for certain events or a way to access 'old' content for a longer period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time GPS Tracking and Safety Tools in a User-Friendly Fleet Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

Some of its strongest features are:

Real-time GPS tracking that gives dispatchers accurate visibility into vehicle locations and status.

User-friendly interface that's generally easier to learn than many older fleet management systems.

Driver safety tools, including AI-powered dash cams that help identify risky driving behaviors and provide video evidence for incidents.

Maintenance management, with automated maintenance schedules and fault code alerts to reduce breakdowns.

Electronic DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports), which simplify inspections and help ensure issues are documented and repaired.

Data and reporting, allowing managers to track fuel usage, idling, driver performance, and utilization to improve efficiency.

Scalability, making it suitable for fleets ranging from a few vehicles to thousands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

The biggest drawbacks are the cost and the occasional delay or inconsistency in GPS updates. Some features and reports require additional subscriptions, and customizing reports or workflows can be limited compared to what some fleets need. The platform also has a learning curve for advanced features, and customer support response times can vary depending on the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Samsara"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

Instead of just reacting to a breakdown or a delay, it uses data to predict and prevent issues before they happen. It takes a massive, moving puzzle and makes it instantly scannable and manageable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

The system generates so many alerts, metrics, and reports that it can sometimes feel like drinking from a firehose. If it isn't configured perfectly, teams can get "alert fatigue" and miss the truly critical issues amidst all the noise Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

I don't like that there is a one minute delay in the broadcast and that I can only watch 5 minutes for free of each camera asset.I would like to be free or at least for the available time to be increased, as it help us with security and monitoring Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Turns Complex Hardware Data into Actionable Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

Ability to turn massive amounts of complex hardware data into simple, actionable insights Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

UI / UXDashboard Bloat:

The massive volume of toggles can feel cluttered for smaller operations.Frequent Updates: Interface layout updates occasionally force managers to relearn menu locations unexpectedly.Mobile Lags: The driver-facing application occasionally experiences slow page load times during peak hours.

IntegrationsAPI Restrictions: Certain third-party data integrations require expensive, custom developer setups.Sync Delays: Mileage data syncing with secondary fuel card systems can experience delayed updates.Limited Hardware Cross-Compatibility: The software functions best exclusively with Samsara's proprietary hardware locks.

PerformanceGPS Update Lag: Live tracking updates can drop or stall in dense urban zones or rural dead zones.App Freezes: The administrative dashboard occasionally freezes immediately after major system updates.Hardware Disconnections: Gateway devices plugged into the vehicle port can be easily kicked loose by drivers.

Pricing / ROIContract Lock-in: Mandates strict 36-to-60-month commitments with strict auto-renewal terms. No Downsizing Flexibility: Businesses must continue paying for unused licenses if their fleet sizes shrink.Opaque Costs: Pricing is entirely quote-based, creating a barrier for rapid budgeting.

Support / OnboardingTiered Support Disparities: Smaller fleet accounts report much slower response times than enterprise tiers.AI Gatekeeping: Users must navigate persistent automated chat filters before reaching a live human expert.Billing Disputes: Resolving backend contract billing discrepancies can take weeks of back-and-forth communication.

AI / IntelligenceFalse Distraction Pings: Dashcams frequently misidentify regular driver habits (like checking side mirrors or drinking water) as distraction.Weather Blindness: Heavy rain, low sun glare, or night driving triggers erratic following-distance alerts.Coaching Automation Gaps: The self-coaching tool allows drivers to skip assigned training modules without admin enforcement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
