**What do you like best about Samsara?**

The platform is extremely user-friendly, and the dashboards make it simple to find the information I need quickly. I really appreciate the real-time tracking, clear reporting tools, and how everything updates instantly. It helps streamline communication, improve safety, and stay on top of productivity. Overall, it saves me time and makes managing the field so much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Occasionally the system can lag or take a moment to refresh data, which slows things down. None of these are major issues, but improving customization and speed would make the platform even better.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform streamlines how we track vehicles, review footage, monitor productivity, and address safety concerns. Having instant access to location data, alerts, and reports allows us to respond faster, prevent issues before they escalate, and keep our teams accountable.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

Samsara's real-time tracking offers immediate insights when managing our fleet. We can see where assets are, where they are going, and how fast they are moving, all on our phone or computer. If an asset is involved in an accident, we can review the trip history as part of our case investigation. Installation of GPS units is easy. Customer support is average or above average. The user interface is clean and I am glad they have a way to navigate through the menu with search.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

The user interface, while clean, is overcomplicated, and I often have to utilize the search feature to find common menu items such as billing. The reports are helpful, but not as customizable for someone like me who cannot use API. Their prices are mostly fair, but its a large investment for our construction company which is not primarily engaged with asset tracking.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samsara helps us track and bill for our assets while they are on the jobsites.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I use Samsara mainly to track our field engineers for installations and support work. It solves the confusion problem by showing exact arrival times, which previously relied on call logs and manual notes. I like this feature because it helps clarify billing issues as some projects rely on accurate onsite visit hours. The trip replay feature is one of my favorites, allowing me to visually understand full movements rather than just reading data. It gives a clearer picture, especially when an engineer visits two nearby clients in one trip. Trip replay has also saved me during internal reviews by visually showing discrepancies between reported and actual events, like when an engineer left and returned to the site for a spare part, clarifying what appeared as an overstay.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Filtering data can be a little rigid. If I want a very specific time window with certain vehicles only, I usually export and adjust in Excel. Inside Samsara, it works, but not always the exact way I want. I wish there was more flexible time filtering. Sometimes I don’t need full day data. I just want, say, 10:30 AM to 1:15 PM for only two engineers. Right now I can filter by date, but when I need very specific hours across selected vehicles, I usually export and clean it outside. It would help if that slicing was easier directly inside Samsara.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samsara helps me verify field engineers' movements, reducing confusion over arrival times and resolving billing discrepancies. I also use trip replay to clarify visit details in minutes, ensuring accuracy in records and client interactions.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

Samsara provides a very intuitive platform that is easy for both managers and drivers to use. The dashboard layout makes it simple to access vehicle insights, trip history, and alerts without digging through complex menus. Implementation was smooth and the system integrates well with our existing workflows, which helped us adopt it quickly. The real time tracking, driver behavior insights, and maintenance alerts are especially helpful for improving fleet efficiency and safety. Overall, it adds transparency to daily operations and supports better decision making.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Some features feel limited when trying to customize reports or extract more detailed analytics. There are moments when certain insights would benefit from deeper granularity or more flexible filtering options. A few tools also require multiple steps to access, which slows down frequent use. While customer support is generally responsive, resolving more advanced or technical issues can take longer than expected. Expanding the feature set and simplifying some workflows would make the experience even stronger.

Samsara helps us streamline daily fleet operations by giving us accurate real time visibility into our vehicles and driver activity. Before using it, we spent a lot of time manually tracking trip progress, handling delays, and following up on maintenance issues. Now we can monitor everything from a single dashboard, which reduces guesswork and helps us respond faster. The system also highlights unsafe driving behavior and upcoming maintenance needs, allowing us to improve safety and reduce downtime. Overall, it saves time, cuts operational inefficiencies, and helps us make better decisions based on reliable data.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I find Samsara to be a strong and reliable platform for fleet and operations management. The user-friendly system and clean dashboard make tracking vehicles, equipment, and driver behavior in real-time really easy. I appreciate the real-time visibility into our fleet, which reduces guesswork around vehicle location, route efficiency, and job status, helping to improve dispatching, reduce idle time, and lower fuel costs. I also like that Samsara centralizes data that used to be spread across multiple systems, providing vehicle health, maintenance alerts, and performance analytics in one platform to save time, improve decision-making, and help prevent costly breakdowns or downtime. The automated maintenance alerts are particularly helpful as they allow us to schedule service based on actual vehicle usage and condition instead of fixed intervals, reducing unnecessary maintenance while preventing costly downtime. Setup was fairly straightforward and driver onboarding went smoothly. Plus, Samsara integrates well with other tools we use.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Hardware replacements or changes can sometimes take longer than expected, so faster turnaround or more streamlined hardware support would be a welcome improvement.

At times, the system is quite slow, which can be frustrating. Furthermore, I feel that DIVEr could offer more detailed information and allow the driver to interact with it in a more dynamic and engaging way.

Unit location and site control: this was solved with geofences. Each unit records how many times it entered and exited a geofence, allowing for more accurate control of visited sites.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I use Samsara to check the locations of my drivers and monitor their driving patterns. It allows me to locate where my drivers are with pinpoint accuracy of where they need to go. I like the maps and the features that involve the weather. The initial setup of Samsara was extremely easy.

I think Samsara could be better with more satellite location features showing the surrounding environment.

I use Samsara to check driver locations and driving patterns with pinpoint accuracy, which helps me know exactly where they are and need to go.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

It is definitely more user friendly in maintaining & monitoring our fleet's mileage than either the previously-used Verizon or Linxup. I also like Excel export format a lot better. Makes integration into our models easier.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

As we are a relatively new customer, I don't have any explicit complaints yet. One very little thing I've noticed is that right after logging in, there seems to be a lag of getting any of the menu options to take you to that option's page. It usually requires me reloading the page once or twice.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for an all-in-one platform to monitor our entire fleet across multiple business units which used different platforms. Samsara has allowed for a smooth transition to that, and the fuel usage monitoring is also very useful.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

What I like best about Samsara is how easy it is to use from day one, the platform is intuitive, the implementation is smooth, I use the system frequently because it offers a wide range of features, from real-time tracking to safety tools, all in one place. Overall, Samsara is simple, reliable, and packed with powerful features.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Some features can feel a bit advanced for new users, and the overall cost can be higher than expected, at times, certain data or reports take a moment to load, but nothing that stops daily use.

Samsara helps solve the challenge of not knowing what’s happening in real time across your fleet and assets, it provides live GPS tracking, vehicle and driver monitoring, safety alerts, and maintenance reminders, so you can see and manage everything from one dashboard, this means faster decision making, better compliance, and reduced downtime, which ultimately improves efficiency, lowers costs, and gives you peace of mind.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I use Samsara for tracking and tracing our trucks and trailers, and I like how we can easily track our drivers' drive time, activity, and their exact location. I appreciate that we get all the information in a single tab for drivers, trucks, and trailers. Additionally, I find it useful as a communication channel for drivers to communicate with dispatchers.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Yes it lags some time. Sometime when we try to open details of some unit or search it it lags or stucks.

We use Samsara for tracking trucks and trailers, monitoring driver activity and locations. It consolidates all info in a single tab and serves as a communication channel between drivers and dispatchers.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I use Samsara to track our drivers at work and appreciate the real-time GPS tracking and location visibility. It's great to see vehicles on a map instantly, not just at check-in or check-out points, which makes dispatching and rerouting much more efficient. I also find the integrated dash cams and video insights very useful because they capture real driving behavior and road events. This feature is particularly helpful for safety coaching, accident review, and insurance defense. Overall, Samsara's features are generally straightforward to set up compared to traditional telematics systems, and I rate it a 10 out of 10 for recommendation.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Connectivity, GPS and cellular connectivity can lag in remote or underground areas. Maybe we can make sure that those area can still be accessed through Samsara. Rural, routes, underground parking, and low coverage zones.

I use Samsara to see vehicles on a map, respond quickly to driver ETAs, and make dispatching and rerouting efficient. It captures driving behavior and road events, which is useful for safety coaching and accident review.

Best interface in the industry. Integration with TMS systems is unparalleled, and seamless. Drivers App is simple, easy to train and use, and very Driver friendly.
Installation in our trucks is simple. Easier than any other hardware we have ever used.
Samsara's ever evolving number of features is VERY robust. The new Maintenance and Qualifications are absolutely outstanding products.

Customer Support is quick to blame everything EXCEPT the hardware/system. 
Our Samsara Enterprise Account Executive feels more like a salesman, and less of a representative, and very slow to answer.

Truck Permit Book is saving us HOURS of time by digitizing. 
Having multiple services incorporated into one app has simplified our Drivers workload. ELD, GPS Mapping, Qualifications and Vehicle Permits, Maintenance, and tracking all in one single app has made our entire operation easier to run and manage.

Being able to check the location of the bus, see if its running and look at the diagnostics

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

There is a lag while the buses are moving that doesn't allow for you to instruct the driver on where to turn. The screen freezes up frequently and you have to click on the screen for it to unfreeze, then the buses jump and you have to relocate them.

It's nice to be able to see if an offsite driver is on location with the bus running and the ability to see what time they made a stop. It helps to be able to see fuel levels as well.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

Samsara makes it very easy to monitor vehicle locations, driver behavior, and fleet activity in real-time. The dashboard is simple to understand, and the mobile app is fast and reliable. Alerts, ELD logs, camera footage, and maintenance tracking all stay organized in one place, which helps save time and reduces mistakes. I like how quickly we can identify issues and improve safety and efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Sometimes the camera footage takes a little time to load, especially older clips. Also, there are moments when support takes longer than expected to respond due to high volume. A few advanced reports could be more customizable. However, these issues do not affect daily work much, and the platform overall performs very well.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samsara helps us track our fleet in real time, monitor driver behavior, and maintain safety compliance. We are able to quickly identify unsafe driving, schedule maintenance before breakdowns happen, and pull camera footage when needed. This saves time, reduces operational costs, and improves accountability. It has also helped us streamline dispatching because we know exactly where each vehicle is and how it’s being driven.

I like that Samsara brings a lot of visibility to our fleet and equipment in one system. The real-time GPS tracking, maintenance alerts, and dash-camera insights help us stay proactive with safety and compliance. The dashboard is intuitive, the reporting is detailed, and it's easy to pull data for audits or incident investigations. I also appreciate how quickly we can identify driving behaviors and equipment issues before they turn into bigger problems.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

The mobile app isn’t always as responsive as the desktop version, and pulling camera footage can be confusing at times — it sometimes takes longer than expected to find the exact incident or clip needed. The system can lag when pulling historical data, and more customization options for alerts and reporting would be helpful. Overall, it’s a solid platform but there’s room for improvements in usability.

I would like quicker tracking, there is a bit of a lag with moving, the truck may have gotten to the property already but on Samsara it shows still in transit.

The tracking and facial ID for drivers is accurate and the telematics data is very helpful for the safety of the drivers. It's decently easy to use. They store a lot of storage for footage.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Pulling the footage takes a long time and it's not always known if you're pulling the correct footage because the system doesn't let you scrub to see what it is you're pulling, the cameras turn themselves off if the trucks are left idle for more than 7 days and our field slows down drastically in the cold months, the cameras have been unplugging themselves and reactivating themselves at random and don't have a wide field of vision. Support mostly sends links that are on their website for help until you manage to get escalated and that takes a while.

Pulling accident footage and refuting claims of damage that are not brought to the field employees attention and tracking drivers in regards to their location and jobsite.

I use Samsara for truck and trailer tracking and fleet management. Samsara is great for tracking multiple tractors and trailers, providing live data that I can use to provide customers with real-time updates on ETA's and delivery times. I love the functionality and accessibility because it is very user-friendly, making it easy to navigate and learn how to use. This is valuable as I don’t have to spend much time navigating to get to where I need to go. The different tabs on the left-hand side of the screen separating Overview, drivers, tractors, trailers, etc., are very helpful. Samsara works great together with McLeod, and I find the initial setup very easy due to Samsara's spectacular functionality and accessibility.

One thing that could be improved on are the server capacities. Sometimes it feels like when Samsara has a heavy load it slows down a bit and it can take longer to load certain pages or navigate.

I like how Samsara turns daily chaos into something that can be controlled and measured. It offers true real-time visibility with safety tools that are practical, not just nice to have. I appreciate having clean, centralized data instead of scattered spreadsheets. The proactive maintenance insights, especially from the OBD II connector data, are really helpful. It's user-friendly and it has constant, steady improvements.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

The alerts and AI events in Samsara can be noisy. They sometimes flag minor bumps or normal driving as harsh events, which means spending time dismissing clips that aren't actually issues. The reporting and customization could be deeper, like being able to combine data fields or changing groupings. The mobile experience isn't as strong as desktop, and I prefer using the browser version in desktop mode over the app. Integration and data exports require quite some effort sometimes. And the setup process is convoluted and hard, especially when replacing a gateway—I'd prefer if it came automatically activated.

I use it to optimize and route my drivers efficiently, making it take less time and effort to get them back to the warehouse. I appreciate the way it lets you choose if you want less time or less distance, and you can also see how much fuel each van has.

I was having trouble optimizing since the new update. I wasn't able to add the 'base' but reached out to Samsara and got it taken care of. I would try to optimize and it wouldn't let me, kept saying I didn't have access. I had to have a manager make my access more expansive, then it worked. It still doesn't optimize in order, so I do it manually but the job gets done.

Being able to get truck video footage myself, instead of having to request it from tech support like our previous software. Trucks are tracked in real time, and you actually see the trucks moving. The trip history images have been very useful and convenient. Customer support is excellent and assists us quickly and directly. Swapping out defective devices is nice, easy and simple.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

We can't upload our routes and have Samsara show us driver stops as they complete them. From my understanding there are some compatibility issues with our routing software and Samsara. Sometimes when downloading video footage, it takes forever or gets stuck retrieving the video.

Samsara benefits us in many ways. It is a great asset to assist us with managing our fleet of vehicles. It makes tracking our vehicles very easy and when accidents occur it is a simple quick process to retrieve the video footage, when makes the accident reporting process a lot easier for us. Samsara also helps us with our truck maintenance by show us when trucks have faults or check engine lights, which allows us to preemptively get the truck serviced before a breakdown occurs.

sometimes the delay is so much that if we are trying to help a driver to get through construction or some other road closure, they may be farther along than what actually shows on the screen. I wish we would have had more hands-on training. Because we had to pretty much train ourselves to things we know now. Also, I wish there was an easier way to track times for certain stops or routing areas.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I have been using Samsara for four years to record and track mileage, along with monitoring safety events, which is crucial for our IFTA purposes. I appreciate its really good report structure and the safety features that have significantly helped in preventing accidents or addressing problematic drivers. The internally facing camera is helpful in identifying hazardous driving behaviors, and the ability to track mileage efficiently adds great value to our operations. Samsara's setup process was fairly easy. Over the years, I have come to value Samsara's huge network, which is broader than that of other vendors. The ease of adding new capabilities as we need them and the upcoming new products are very encouraging. Additionally, I believe it offers one of the best price packages we've come across. I’m highly likely to recommend Samsara to a friend or colleague, rating my likelihood as a 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

I found it occasionally difficult to acquire equipment, with shipping times being a bit slow. Ordering the correct cameras was sometimes challenging, although this seems to have been resolved now. Additionally, the system could benefit from a feature that maintains a history of gateway names over time, which would be useful when we switch gateways between different tractors.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Samsara for its excellent report structure and safety features, preventing accidents and addressing problematic drivers effectively.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I like that Samsara is easy to use and very useful for my business. As a field manager, I find it convenient to use the app instead of setting up a computer. Being able to route straight to the vehicle from the app is very convenient, and I didn't face any issues during the initial setup — it was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

The recent changes to the interface make it slightly more difficult to use, and the classic view was more efficient. The app performs sluggishly on the iPhone 13 that I use.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samsara ensures drivers follow traffic laws, improves safety, lets me locate technicians and customers efficiently, and access vehicle routes directly from the app. It's user-friendly, making my job as a field manager more convenient without needing to set up a computer.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I like Samsara because it is easy, simple, and informative. Being able to see the cameras where drivers currently are and sharing live tracking are huge for us. The initial setup was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Sometimes the messages do not come through when they are supposed to and it lags some, like a driver sent us two messages this morning and neither came through to us until around noon.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Samsara to see cameras and share live tracking, which is huge for us. It keeps things easy, simple, and informative. However, sometimes messages lag and don't come through when expected.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I like Samsara for its real-time vehicle tracking and driver safety monitoring, which has significantly improved our visibility and communication across operations. I also appreciate how it streamlines fleet operations and helps us operate more efficiently. The real-time visibility and user-friendly platform make tracking, communication, and safety management very easy. Additionally, the initial setup was super easy to handle.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Overall, Samsara works very well. However, occasional system lag and the need for more customizable reporting are areas that could be improved. System lag tends to occur during peak usage times, especially when loading live tracking or reports. Improving load times and performance consistency would be helpful.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Samsara for real-time vehicle tracking, improving driver safety, and streamlining fleet operations. It improves efficiency, visibility, and communication.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I like how it has driver training modules, AI is catching behaviors, grades are given, and how Samsara works with other vendors, like fuel cards and MVR providers.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

Implementation is slower than I thought. Not crazy slow, I just wanted to move quickly and realized after the fact we had to bear the brunt of logistics for device installations across our nationwide fleet.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samsara solves the problem of needing a better driver safety program. We now have integrations between dashcams, vehicle tracking, fuel cards, and MVR monitoring.

**What do you like best about Samsara?**

I appreciate the ability to better monitor employees using company vehicles, ensuring they adhere to local driving laws. Samsara has improved the condition of our vehicles, as the monitoring discourages employees from abusing them, especially those equipped with cameras. The features of speeding detection and hard braking detection are particularly beneficial, aiding in both ensuring compliance and assisting with crash investigations. Moreover, the online access to cameras is a significant advantage, providing real-time monitoring capabilities that enhance our oversight and operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Samsara?**

I encountered a learning curve with setting up Samsara, particularly finding some settings while installing cameras, which took about two months to get comfortable. Additionally, the app's performance on iOS is not optimal, which affects usability on iPhones.

**What problems is Samsara solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Samsara for better monitoring of employees using company vehicles, ensuring compliance with driving laws, and maintaining vehicles in good condition. It provides speeding and hard braking detection, aiding in crash investigation and reducing vehicle abuse.
