Samsara has become an essential tool in our daily operations for managing drivers and fleet performance. The real-time GPS tracking allows us to quickly locate vehicles and improve dispatch visibility. What stands out most is how easy the platform is to use — the interface is intuitive, clean, and makes important data easy to access. I also highly value the driver safety features. The driving behavior data (speeding, rolling stops, harsh braking, following distance, etc.) gives us objective information to coach drivers and improve road safety. One of the most valuable features is the event video footage, which provides clear visual evidence during safety or compliance discussions. This makes coaching conversations much more factual and productive. The reporting tools are also very useful for monitoring both individual and overall fleet performance. I really appreciate the ease of use of Samsara. It's easy to navigate and use, which is great. The ever-evolving changes they make are also something I've come to value. Things like setting up cameras and trucks, tracking our trucks, and monitoring driver behaviors are all aspects I find useful. The dashboard is really easy to navigate, especially when I'm setting up new users. The most recent thing was the Samsara mobile phone, but that has since been updated and is a lot more useful. A big concern for us was also the ability to retrieve footage. As a somewhat new user, I really wish I could just search a list of all the functions. Yes, there is a search bar, but I wish that there was a long list somewhere of all the functions and operations listed alphabetically. I would love for that list to have a short description of each function, how it is intended to work, and where it is located in the logical menu flow. Sometimes, the design and layout just do not match our use case or my personal thought process, so finding that one specific command, even when I know what its called, can be difficult. When we ticket a truck for a delivery we need to know its precise location, both to see if it's ready for a load, or is actually in the physical location we need it to be. Samsara's real times sensors allow us to have a high degree of confidence that the computer data in the digital world is an accurate approximation of what is taking place in the real world. Samsara remains one of, if not the best, tracking companies for monitoring and gathering evidence in all kinds of circumstances, from the moment you want to view the dashcam to the event history or actuator application. Every movement is recorded. The integration with third-party software is also a plus, as anyone can do it. From my point of view, it offers so much information that it becomes difficult to present it all.
